Empty Handed

the rhyming comes easy
cadence makes its call
and I stand empty handed
with nothing at all
I shoot from the hip
but the aim is slightly off
and the target means nothing
nothing at all

I write the music
and you write the song
we sing it together
though we are alone
I hear the lyrics
and you feel the dance
when winter has ended
and we took a chance

we kiss and we part
and time passes quick
months have a way
of lighting a wick
the pleasures were ours
and we sing one last tune
but it is never quite over
for me and for you

Blank Page

this page is bare in memory
you can write from abditory
a sonnet, lyrics, a poem of life
I read it all, reflecting

yes, I think you write for me
interpretation, of what I believe
I like to think I left a mark
tearing across your heart

renditions that I know aren't true
I've never meant that much to you
and still I read and what it seems
is all imagination

Shadowland

We enjoyed ourselves,
We had a few laughs,
You never knew this,
But i love you,

The day you left my tears began to come,
I couldn't bear to see you're coffin shut,
You weren't just my friend,
You were my best friend,

That night i saw you killed,
Was a night like no other,
I couldn't stand her taunting face,

Now i write this alone,
I hate this world,
But now i will leave it in peace,

I will join you in the shadowland
    We enjoyed ourselves,
We had a few laughs,
You never knew this,
But i love you,

The day you left my tears began to come,
I couldn't bear to see you're coffin shut,
You weren't just my friend,
You were my best friend,

That night i saw you killed,
Was a night like no other,
I couldn't stand her taunting face,

Now i write this alone,
I hate this world,
But now i will leave it in peace,

I will join you in the shadowland

Bottomless Snow

It’s snowing fear and disappointment.
Weak, my blood tries to tremble,
As the blizzards pass me.
I’ve ended the days
When I’d put love on paper,
Drowning my pen
In inky tears.
But I’ve killed it so many times…

It’s snowing fear
And my nights grow colder,
Eerie thoughts about to come,
Covering me in stillness.
I write of love, but do not want to,
With my pen and interred soul.

It’s snowing fear
As I caress this longing,
The pen drives swiftly over my heart.
It writes of us and what we had,
Buried now in bottomless snow.
I write of love, but tire out.
How will I get over this?

I’ll let the snow scatter my soul,
While the pen dies once more…

It’s snowing fear and you’re not here…

Let It Be

im slowly filling this notebook
of you for you
lined with my love
drenched in my blood
poems for you
poems of you
always knowing your never read this
my true feeling shered with noone
but this pad and pen
I try to consume my life with something but
I always fail
in my quest for anything except you
I'll never see you the way I used to
before all this
before we won
we beat everyones expectations
everyones wants
but now my love will not leave me
percieve my wants
it holds me to every memory
so for you I write some more
in the fact none of this was sopposed to happen
this love was sopposed to be fake
And everyday when I wake
I find my dreams were consumed of you
And my thoughts stay of you
and I cant fall out of love
as Easaily as I fell in
So i'll sit here and write
haughnted by my memory
crying silently
never failing to miss a beat
I still love as do you
but neither will let it be
