The Divide

She used to be here,
beside me,
our laughter filling the gaps in the quiet.
But then it changed,
when they came around,
the ones with the right clothes,
the right words.
And I was left behind.

She doesn’t look at me now,
not like she used to.
She walks with them,
her back straight,
her smile cold,
and I’m still here,
waiting,
watching her slip away.

It’s like she doesn’t remember
the way we used to talk about everything,
the way we shared our secrets,
no walls between us.
Now I’m just a ghost,
a forgotten name
fading into the distance.

She leaves with them,
those people I can’t even name,
and I wonder what they’ve done
to her.
Her laugh sounds different now,
like it’s been hollowed out,
like it’s a mask
she wears to fit in.

I want to scream,
to reach out,
but she’s already gone.
I’m a memory,
buried in the weight of who she’s becoming.

She’s someone else now,
someone I can’t recognise,
and I wonder if she ever thinks of me,
or if I’m a forgotten chapter
she’ll never read again.

Only Me

13 years to make sense of it, intensively hit, lost jobs lost friendship, what happened to nick? A mystery turned my life to misery no one understanding me as they had the upper hand on me no one behind free fall fall free situations I now see connect dots picture haunts but at least it visually flaunts short straws endured through balls still lost it all confusion yet subconsciously I refused for the reasons now understood as clues in memories mend me mentally I understand the cry what made me rally seems extreme but if you don’t believe me leave I don’t care how I’m received didn’t believe me then don’t believe me now this ain’t for you I’m working it out, realise what cause me fall down say stop dwelling on the past but I did saw memories with lessons to grasp can now answer questions asked back then it all went fast I understand now at last, I learnt I need to believe in myself when all doubt me when I’m down and doubting my opinion the one to set me free, I’ll never care of you don’t listen to me I always act on what I see 13 years I can start now, a new me

Lost Friendship

I think so often of our past,
Of how much time had drawn us near;
I would have never thought I’d hear
That our close friendship would not last.

The dreary autumn rain was falling
That fateful day, when we first met.
Who would have known your heart was set
To disobey my strongest calling?

We were each other’s secret then;
To us, the world was dead and hollow.
And there was never any sorrow,
Nor any sign it would all end.

So many years have since elapsed!
You are now happy with another,
But I still won’t forget, but rather
Recall the beauty of our past.

Premium Member Death Looks Friendly

There have been times in my life when death looked very friendly,
so I guess it's a good thing that friendships never last with me,
but my ex friend death and I will one day come to terms inevitably
and then we shall rekindle our lost friendship eternally.

Why Do You Always Elude Me

When I grieve at grievances foregone
And sing to myself my melancholy song.
The hurt, miseries and sorrows suffered
The pangs of pain and agony doubled.

The long lost childhood that was so bare;
With nothing to recall recollect or share.
My tears my sole companion have been
From early days till the years of teen.

The long lost friendship and unachieved aim
The un-numbered failures ; my weaknesses claim.
The true colour of love which I could never see
My prayer is unanswered unheard is my plea.

Oh! happiness you are so elusive!
Why do you always elude me?

The Cloak of Friendship

The Cloak of Friendship

We wore our cloak of friendship
like the finery of royalty;
now it hangs threadbare and tattered,
a dishonored breach of loyalty.

In the armoire of desolation
a mere cloud of evanescence;
this kinship once so vibrant
now stripped of incandescence.

Treasured memories from a lifetime
just discarded and destroyed;
how doth a heart feel heavy
when it’s nothing but a void?

Drowning in my dolor
our lost friendship to lament;
you just let it slip away
when for a lifetime it was meant.

Lost Friendship

Do you know how it feels like to be left behind?
You’ve lost your best freind in such little time.

You try not to let it bother you because it was all in the past
But it’s hard to live life knowing nothing ever last

It’s hard to hide behind this face
Knowing your friendship was a lost case

You have lost the friends you have always known
And all they did was leave you alone

The pain of losing your best friends will never go away
It will stay in your heart everyday

You feel like you no longer belong
And fake your happiness so nobody knows something’s wrong.

Time

Time was easy and fun with you by my side
Now time seems so long with out you by my side
The deep feelings I have for you, I can not hide no more
Not a day passes by, when you are not in my mind
Your friendship means the whole world to me
With out you, I am a sailor lost at sea
Come my friend, rescue me
For, my friendship with you has turned into love that I seek
Love that I want you to come and share with me
Bring back to my life those lost day
Days, when it was easy and fun with you by my side
