When I Look Upon the Roses

When I look upon the roses
I see a flower oh so fair
But the stems I touch remind me
That each their thorns they also share

I see how love and pain collide
When I look upon the roses
With many colors that they wear
All it's beauty it  imposes

To hide the pain that it does share
It tries to cover up it's thorns
When I look upon the roses
I see a beauty that adorns

Life is somewhat like this flower
So full of love but also pain
I think of how I'll handle each
When I look upon the roses

Premium MemberI Have Repented I No Longer Look Upon Satan's Filthy Grin Satan Get Thee Behind Me

Turn off that misplaced grin;
Satan get thee behind me;
 I have repented;
 I no longer need you as a parent;
You're no longer my father;
I am forgiven but His Grace has chosen me ;
And put on me a brand new face ;
I am of amazing grace;
I am a child of the King;
 I am God's child now;
You can go away get to behind me  Satan with your filthy grin;
In the name of Jesus I am freed and born again;
Amen;

MY EYES AND I CAN'T TAKE IT TO LOOK UPON THE LORD OUR GOD PART 2---

My eyes has seen His glory
My eyes has seen His glory
My eyes has seen His glory
       and I can't take it
                  can't take it

My eyes has seen His face
My eyes has seen His face
My eyes has seen His face
    Hallelujah!

My eyes behold of His Spirit
Beholding is eyes in my spirit
And I can't take it;
And yet I'm gonna make it;

Been a long while since I'd trusted HIm
Been a long while since I believed in
Been a long time since I've talked to HIm
Don't think I can make it
Tarrying long time come now
Been brought with a price I know now;
Wondering how I've worthy to receive now
His merited grace, I am in disgraced...

My eyes has seen His glory
My eyes has seen His glory
My eyes has seen His glory
       and I can't take it
                  can't take it

My eyes has seen His face
My eyes has seen His face
My eyes has seen His face
    Hallelujah!

Look Upon the Future

L-ook upon the future,
A-nd let the sun ascend;
N-ever behold the old past,
I-t's time to let yesterday

E-nvision a better life ever;
R-each the glorious goal,
D-ay fourteen of November.
I-n spite of bleak horizon, open your eyes to venture;
Z-one of light is in sight, look upon the future.

Y-ou.

A-s you look upon the sky,
N-ew dawn has just broken;
T-wenty-fourth morn in June
O-pens the day beneath the heaven.

O-nce dark the clouds clear, just look upon the sky.

To Look Upon His Face
Nativity of Jesus

Oh! Starry twilight this December night
Guiding light glows so up high
Moonlit shadows slow dance
Shooting stars flashing close by

Angel's sweet melody echoes flow
With the embracing of heaven
Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down
Paying homage to our God's son

Sparkling eyes and glowing heart
Spirit enthusiasm precedes me to look
For a brief moment upon His face
Heavenly virtue weeping tears overtook

To want to lift Him up and hold in my arms
My humbleness to submit to Him
And seek his grace and favor
Spread my wings and sing a Cherub hymn

Oh! Starry twilight this December night
Guiding light glows so up high
Moonlit shadows slow dance
Shooting stars flashing close by

Angel's sweet melody echoes flow
With the embracing of heaven
Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down
Paying homage to our God's son

Windows in head see
Clear past, future cloudiness
Look upon today.

I Look Upon Your Face

I look upon your face as you
lay sleeping.
Wanting to see the secrets
you are keeping.

I know all about your feelings
of fear.
That I see with the occasional
little tear,
That rolls down you cheek
when you’re unaware.
The one when you’re awake
you just can’t share.

Sometimes I see a smile
upon your face.
That lets me know you’re
in a happy place.
But just as fast, that smile turns
to a frown,
That let’s me know that you
are feeling down.

I want to hold you close and
make things better.
I want to open you up and read
what’s in that letter
That you keep so tightly sealed
up inside you,
The one that tells of why no one
can reach you.

The one that would give me some kind
of hope
That might let me loosen that
fearful rope
That keeps you so tied up in
all that fear,..
The one that might let me someday
get near.

Until that day all I can do
is love you
And hope someday that you’ll
let me inside of you.
And then I promise that I’ll take you
to that place,
where when I watch you sleep,..there’ll
be a smile upon your face.
