Mahalagang Pangulo
Babaeng sinipa diktaduryang pinairal…
Bansang hinayupak, pulitika'y pandirian!
Maging ibang bansa'y hinuwaran, itinulad
Nasilayan kong dinamayan niya't kinalaban
Isa ring sa Pilipinas ngayon ay nagrereyna.
Sa kanyang paglisan sa mundong pinaglipasan
‘Di dapat kalimutan Dangal ng Pilipino
Itatak sa kasaysayan simple niyang pangalan
Corazon C. Aquino…Mahalagang Pangulo.

*written this day of Pres. Cory Aquino's burial
I went a searchen for da green eyed monster
Yet da big fella was nowhere in site
They'd said he was really quite fearsum
He'd often appear on a saderday night
I went out wit my little woman
That sweet gal o mine lookin so fine
If ya asked me to give er a ratin
She'd be a ten or at least a nine
Da more dat I got inta ma drinkin
Ma senses dey became super fine
I noticed sum good lookin fella
Eyen dat special woman o mine
The vessels in ma neck started poppin
My eyes began glowin a sickly green
I got up frum ma chair started screamin
Dats right I started makin a scene
Ma little woman she was sum embarrassed
That yung fella smashed me in da face
Tank goodness she came to ma rescue
It's a good ting she had a can a mace
It seems I'd been mad about nutin
Dat young fella had been on a date
Ma wife told me dat I'd bin right silly
She was quite sure dat his date's name was Nate
Tankfully dos green eyes dey turned back ta blue
Da colour now is gone wit out a trace

Ang Alamat ng Epic Fail
Bakit at paano nga ba
Na ang tawag sa
Kanilang idiniskarga o idinerail
Pare-pareho kaming idiniskarga
Taong 2012 sa aming mga opisina
Sabay ang TED Secretary
Sa Secretary ng DILG
Na sa ere naglaho
At si Mar Roxas umupo
Ito ang epiko ng panay pang-aagaw
Gaya ng isang mula sa Mambusao
Na noong 2002 ako sa Top 1 pinaalis
Ngayong 2012, taga-Mambusao pinatugis?!
Tinugis si Labao - #OrasNa ng laglagan!
Parang “Laglag-Bala” sa mga paliparan
Laglagan talaga ang trip ng mga Dilawan
Parang yung sa Drug Trade na “Onsehan”
Oras na talaga ng mga mang-aagaw
Mga Liberal na salimpapaw
Parang yung mga kaaway
Sa Epiko ng Panay.

*Alamat ng Kanilang mga Expressions
One year, over the ocean, Santa veered off course
His reindeer were battling a hurricane force.
As the sleigh went spinning and spiraling around,
an island appeared far below on the ground,
dotted with palms on a white sandy beach.
Santa took heart that land was in reach.
Through starlight’s glow and the light of the moon
Santa touched down — not a moment too soon.
A lavish Luau on Lahaula mats was laid,
a sumptuous feast over which a Kahuna prayed
with fish on ti leaves, tropical fruits, and eggs-fu-yung
colorful flower leis were draped after being strung
Pearly shells glimmered on every waving palm
Ukuleles were strumming to songs sweet and calm
while dancers swayed ami with soft hula hands.
Santa had landed in a paradise found.
His beard was snow white, his boots shiny black
and he wore a red suit with a red elfin hat.
“I’m Father Christmas,” and - I’m surprised too
that we celebrate in much the same way as you
with peace and goodwill, and with eating and singing.
‘Mele Kalikimaka,’ is our song of greeting
As we celebrate Christmas— in island style.
On they kept strumming, and singing and drumming.
while Santa felt tempted to stay and join in.
But time was short as Christmas morning grew near.
He had sworn a duty to all he held dear.
He saw a bright star rising up in the East
The time had come - he must leave from this feast
So he readied his reindeer to take to the stars
This was the latest — he’d ever been — by far
to bring toys to children all over the world
curled up in bed in their little dreamworlds.
“Come Dasher, Come Dancer, Come Prancer and Vixen.
Come Comet, Come Cupid, Come Donner and Blitzen.”
We’ll find our way here some other midnight
“Mele Kalikimaka to ALL - and to ALL a Good Night.”
Fall is having something of a moment - in Paris - from what I hear.
Me? I’m enjoying some large-group foundational instruction, small-group clinical tutorials, and what they call ‘dense-coursework’ because endless memorization and scientific concept acquisition isn’t dense at all.
Peter’s in Paris for goods, Woot!
And lucky him, he’s adjusting to waking up
to ‘Betty (Get Money) by Yung Gravy,’
blasting from my Sonos One speaker at 6am
right after Charles and I finish our morning 5k.
I’m trying to be present for him, to atone for endless studies.
My diary charts my intentions, anyway, like satirical epistolaries.
Now that Peter’s in Paris, he seems “S” obsessed!
I didn’t tell him, “Wait, isn’t that what A.I. is for?”
No, I go to minimal lengths to discourage him,
for we’re each other’s raw materials, are we not?
Shakespeare, a man who obviously spent a lot of his time on the Internet. Wrote about that very specific, emotional-space and little else. He disguised it, of course, with sexual allusions, drunken sword fights, mistaken identities and sick-burns - but it’s all there.
Incest, gender-bending, sneaking around, and jesters spilling blunt truths about “appetites.”
But he presented it all as real, human and normal - signaling pleasures full of breathing, tasting, feeling, and the overt-expression of sexual actions - he was a man ahead of his time - made for social media.
Of course, you can’t trust what a poet writes of love.
Not because of dissimulation, but because love is so exciting
- that the happening is all-consuming - and in the after-pauses, much is forgotten.

Pagsusumamo sa Dios
(1) Oh Dios naming Tagapaglikha
Na may akda ng aming tadhana
Ako ay nagsusumamo
Na sa CapSU ay ibalik po
(2) Ako ay naroon noong una
Nagtuturo sa mga bata
Isang dedikadong guro
Na nais ngayong maging AO
(3) Sa Education maaari akong manguna
UP Graduate na, may Masteral pa
Mataas ang pinag-aralan ko
Para sa pagiging AO
(4) Sa Experience maaari ring manguna
Ako yata ang may pinakamahaba
Nagtrabaho sa pribado at sa publiko
Pasok ako sa pagiging AO
(5) Sa Eligibility maaari ring manguna
May Civil Service na, may LET pa
Naging Civil Servant at Guro
Puwede rin sa pagiging AO
(6) Sa Exam maaari ring manguna
Nasagutan ko lahat ng tanong nila
Kung sa CSE at LET nakapasa ako
Pasado rin dapat sa pagiging AO
(7) Sa Trainings maaari ring manguna
May CPD na, may NC2 pa
Merong training sa Ateneo
Piliin na ako sa pagiging AO
(8) Sa Interview maaari ring manguna
Nasagot ko naman mga tanong nila
Mga sagot mula sa isip at puso
Patungo sa pagiging AO
(9) Pero kahit tantiyado ko na
Ang ating panguguna
Akin paring siniguro
Ang ating panalo
(10) Sa mga Makapangyarihan umapela
Humingi ng tulong at pag-asa
Sapagkat kinikilala ko
Ang impluwensiya ng mga ito
(11) Sana ang pagbigyan nila
Ay yung walang-wala na
Isang pulubi na gaya ko
Hindi yung meron nang trabaho
(12) Dahil noong ako ay mawala
Sa CapSU ilang tao na
Ako ay back-to-zero
5 taon na walang trabaho
(13) CapSU nalang ang aking pag-sa
Sa iba ay wala na talaga
Kung ako ay pagbibigyan muli rito
Mamahalin ko nang lubusan ito
(14) Siya ay aking sinisita
Palaging nasa aking gunita
Siya ay nasa aking puso
Laman din lagi ng isip ko
(15) Oh CapSU na aking sinta
Tayo ay pinagtagpo at itinadhana
Sana ay muli ako
Na makapaglingkod sa iyo!
