A Contemplation For Good Friday

The word of the day is: ' Excruciating'
an adjective associated with intense pain,
however its root meaning derives from the Latin 'excruciatus'
meaning – ‘From the cross.’

Congratulations! for before or when we die
we all will be - out of that cross.

Life is a crucifixion
for even the greatest joys come to suffering
just as suffering comes to joy.
Love saves.

Jesus’s journey to and from the cross
is both an allegory and a literal teaching.

What we believe becomes our truth.

Today let this Good Friday contemplation
become our own way Of The Cross
for life, be it short or long,
is sometimes a heavy burden and rocky road to climb,
and though the joy may happily outweigh
the tribulations
together they also are our ‘come from the cross’
story.

Jesus is us and his truth is in us.

If Good Friday were a sorrowful event
then it would be called ‘Bad Friday.’
Nothing is Bad today.

A Journey Through Life With Mental Illness

High functioning autism is just a word to most.
Receiving and having are two different word's.
And so we try in having, as little attention drawn
Too ourselves .

Our teachers cannot read our mind's and parents
Through thier ignorance cause more harm than good.
The bullies were thus brutal as bullies will be, fighting
Back was but trouble as trouble needn't be.

Not able to speak or articulate word's as a child, confusion
Was the word, the word of the day as from night.
Hiding in the woods, open in school spankings from teacher's
Back in those day's.

As an adult it was thus to late , police and a record being misunderstood.
Confessing to lie's to people you trust without mens rea,
It mattered not.

Anger , detachment was then a good friend, not knowing the
Why until it was too late.
And why now they ask , when they do not care, it leaves me in
Fear .
That I may loose where I live to those now afraid.

Minds Eye

Inspiration is her word of the day,
for she feels it now come the final sun ray.

She is weary from the sunshine hours,
but her mind is filled with subtly coloured flowers.

She writes sturdy, yet not so fast,
even though thoughts keep streaming past.

She fears she may not capture many a wonder,
but then again, she is certain her dreams will ponder.

So when she awakes to a new agenda,
she puts pen to paper to continue at her minds surrender.

The refreshed blues of her widened eyes perceived
the adventures of her sleeping state as something so greatly achieved.

Inspiration flows fluidly in connection with her soul
and she can say it has beautifully taken its toll.

For she is perpetually in anticipation
of continuing to paint with the colours of her happy imagination.

Premium Member Wiggle Waggle Math Scares Me Too

Sixpence and foursquare seventy-seven minus fifty-two
Come and give me a cuddle, it truly is only us two.
What are you staring at? Is that a cobbler’s shoe?

Just the word mathematics makes me want to boo-hoo.
Donuts in the belfry, quotients in the glue.
Wiggle Waggle Wiggle bottom. I am scared now too.

Jumping over a moon, with your magic eyes of blue.
Multiplication meanness is coming rapidly through.
Mathematics is the word of the day. What can we do?

I am terrified of numbers, just between me and you.
Letters make more sense. I have mastered some of them two.
Geometry and statistics? I hope this poem is finally through.

Day of the Loaded Gun

We're living in times that are broken and bent
Where fragile is the word of the day
More looking to get that ever to give
Not worried at the come what may

There never is rest for the weary head
Or the seam of things come undone
It's no secret kept that what we have left
Is the day of the loaded gun

Battle sides drawn, which side is wrong
Depends on the side you're on
And those that wont play, go their own way
Preferring to be left alone

And alone we'll all be in this society
Of you either need to duck or run
Where losers will weep as the finders keep
In the day of the loaded gun

We fight all the time, the frame of mind
Of selfishness wants its own way
But if it wasn't for self then I ask you who else
Would give you the time of day

Did she pack up and leave because of you and me
Cause I ain't seen hide nor hair of love
Can anyone blame it for calling it quits
In the day of the loaded gun

The Howling Winds of March

The howling winds of March

Furious gusts of air
mightily blow bestirring anchored poet
sitting comfortably numb
securely strapped in his hard to maneuver
easy bath chair
while all around him debris
strewn helter skelter everywhere
heavy objects unmoored
pirouetting topsy turvy

defying laws of physics
cue Adam Smith
courtesy his invisible hand
eulogizing, kickstarting, and regulating
unseen cogs and gear
in order to avoid being plucked up
analogous to whirling dervish
ye dear reader best don
top of the line name brand ironware

to fend off soundcloud
analogous to webbed
whirled wide rooky banshee
hounding kingly bishopric
inducing royal knightmare
whereat pawns called play
as damage control representatives
ultimately linkedin to medicare
for bodily harm suffered

and property destruction
doled out courtesy Nationwide Insurance,
nevertheless yours truly
experienced heightened anxiety
cuz I accidentally, casually, easily,
et cetera eavesdropped,
though a polite gentleman (boot no scholar)
loud talking policyholder
anyone could easily overhear

their strident vocalizations
and they owned chutzpah to *****
re: me for listening to conversation
threatening with abominable language to scare
living daylights, which nearly caused
writer of these words
to soil his underwear
such vociferous threats
wrought quick thinking defense posture,

whereby my ordinary shy demeanor
empowered after downing
powder milk biscuits
(cuz heaven's their tasty)
and declaring warfare
against being bullied
versus suffering as token scapegoat
most every year
from boyhood until emerging adulthood.

After crafting above lines
current generated via whoosh;
I sat mine hind quarters
(otherwise referred to the tush),
which signalled to Doctor Quackenbush,
(id est Groucho Marx)
not deficient with quick wit
whose hook, line and sinker
word of the day namaycush
helped one environmental seaman
high (fish) tail to Hindu Kush
where removal from madding crowd
spiritually inoculated one
with a profound hush.
