Wacky ego from hero to zero tacky shi*show taco

Gabbatoir bete noir Pom bomb Dauphinoise

Done like a kipper without Warne’s flipper

Stellar Aussie fella mortadella from the cellar

Hoodwink stink of our skipper.. all cheesy hype

Shocker if this is our Test best.. zest of fu*k fest

In the locker of Davy call in the navy cos Bazball ain’t gravy

Rip Pee Wee Herman

There was nothing out there like it
When Paul Reuben’s show first aired.
To the Pee Wee’s Playhouse family,
No one else could be compared.

There was Globey (yes, a talking globe)
And Chairry (yes, a chair),
Plus a host of wacky others,
All with silliness to spare.

Cowboy Curtis, Mr. Window,
Blue-faced Jambi, Miss Yvonne,
Pterri, Reba, Randy, Conky,
Oh, the list goes on and on.

Leading all of them was Pee Wee,
Less a grown-up, more a kid,
Who delighted in his buddies
And in everything they did.

And the joy was so infectious,
Even parents had to smile.
(Also, sneaky wordplay for adults
Showed up once in a while.)

I’ll remember Pee Wee Herman
(Reuben’s alter ego star)
For providing entertainment
Filled with joy, though quite bizarre.

I was grateful, as a parent,
That with Pee Wee on TV,
There was laughter, now recalled
By both my grown-up son and me.

Premium Member Jabberwacky

I know a scamp who chortles frabjously
as in the springtime galumphing he goes.
And just to show how wacky he can be,
he makes his tongue point up to touch his nose!

He has no wicked claws or eyes with flame
to match those of the manxome Jabberwock.
But just beware his jaws. Although he’s tame,
he can’t be stopped once he begins to talk!

I vouch that he can jabber endlessly
and have me at the end of my short rope.
My ears just might fall off one day, for he
gyres gibberish just like a gyroscope.

I dub my beamish grandson “Jabberwack”
for how he acts and how he loves to yak!

Premium Member No Wacky Weed

Do not sell me that wacky weed.
That is something I no longer need.
Besides, you overload the bags with seed.
Anybody can smell that putrid smoke.
It only makes me cough and choke.
The stuff does not even make me high.
To this mean green, I must say “goodbye”.

I was pulled over by the police one day.
He saw I had a joint in the ashtray.
Off into his patrol car in handcuffs I went.
One night in a small jail cell was spent.
My honey came by the next day without fail.
She was nice enough to put up my bail.
I cannot afford another police report.
The judge does not want to see me in his court.
If I ever reappear before him one day,
for a longer time, he will put me away.
Do not consider me a client and spender.
To your package, I will stamp “RETURN TO SENDER”.

Premium Member Frost On Your Noodle

If there's frost on your noodle, don't despair
It's a sign of genius if you've got grey hair

But the experts say when the colour takes flight
Intelligence doesn't just happen overnight

It takes years and years of bumps and grinds
So make sure you don't get left behind

To survive in this crazy and wacky old world
Ya gotta be ready for whatever gets hurled

Grey hair says intelligence between the ears
Achieving great wisdom throughout the years

A scholarly person you've turned out to be
Now if only your kiddies could also see

That parents are not just a couple of dolts
May even be smarter than a lot of young colts

Who may know computers and all that stuff
That's not all there is, it's not quite enough

To be able to deal with the challenges of life
One needs the smarts to deal with strife

For everyday problems that are bound to arise
Facing head on life's every surprise

Don't be embarrassed by frost on you noodle
You've got the whole kit and caboodle

Acquiring great knowledge throughout the years
With loads of laughter and many tears

Premium Member America Did Not Die

For crying out loud
Due to the outcome
I was not particularly proud
For more than two centuries, election days go and come
At a similar season, every four years
This time, there were plenty of wows and tears
Of disappointment, heartbreak, anger, anxiety and sadness
And the other half was full of glee or happiness
Such is life. Politics is a dirty and unpredictable animal
No, America did not die. Things are normal
We’re still talking about immigration, liberty
Freedom of speech, and of course the economy
We’re hoping that everything will be better
America has been great for a long time, forever
It’s redundant to add ‘again’ to the propaganda
Yes, America did not drown or die in the middle of the political saga
In the wrath of the hurricanes or in the deadly spillover of the rivers
Where the two parties fought fiercely like two hale tigers
America is an immensely prosperous country
Ignore the false promotional and advertising slogan
America is a huge market with a very rich economy
Ignore the wacky and delusional politicians and Élon
Tigers, lions, jaguars and hyenas are fighting and vying
For their portion or stomach. It is a new political spring
In November. America will not die, on the contrary
We pray, hope and dream to see a better country.

Premium Member Wacky Towns

I've visited many towns and cities as I've traversed this old orb,
Their culture, their food, their beauty and architecture to absorb.
Istanbul, Tokyo, Athens, Casablanca and London I fondly recall;
Well-known names, but the names of English villages beats them all!

It would be interesting to know who established the town of Throop,
And the name of the prankster who settled the village of Droop!
The borough of Great Snoring must be a sleepy village (so to speak).
I suspect Piddlehinton is rife with bushes to hide behind to sneak a leak!

I suppose citizens of Blubberhouse are proud to call it their abode.
Picklechurch and Picklescott are villages with exotic names bestowed.
Then there are the towns of Affpuddle, Puddletown and Briants Puddle.
What crackpots concocted those names to amuse and thus befuddle?

Barton In The Beans and Bitchfield grace the verdant country-side,
And in the bergs of Didling and Papplewick, denizens happily abide.
I must admit that here in the colonies there are oddly named towns too,
Like Bean Blossom, Tillamook and Intercourse, just to name a few!

College-League Baseball Sonnet

Small stadium built in the late forties,
minor-league once, but has been left behind,
built with girders and backless, wooden seats,
a local relic of an older time.
The players look so young, barely can shave,
the pitching is rough and some balls are dropped,
a few have been drafted by big league names,
one has promise, at ninety-four was clocked.
Young kids run around, and between innings
some do wacky races upon the field,
but have fun even if they’re not ‘winning,’
and the high-fives from the players are real.
So far not a hit has yet cleared the wall,
but six bucks is still good for live baseball.

Brouhaha

The reunion that caused all of the zany brouhaha
From a family kerfuffle with one humorless raw flaw

It all went down quite swiftly, in a quick split lickety
And ended outside in the hedges most thorn thickety

A tray of food put cattywampus on the table by papa
Slipped and fell in by our taradiddle called mama

She was always a snip uppity and pinch or two persnickety
Especially toward mad uncle Ed who's getting old and rickety

As she landed on her derriere he let out a great guffaw
We chuckled and chortled but soon saw our big faux paw

She hurled everything at us from cups to fence white pickety
We dodged and ran fast as we can it was quite a sticky wickety

Flabbergasted brother Bob signaled to hurry with a caw caw
Grampa ran by gramma and pinched her rump with Ooh la la

She caught us all with a sprightly jump, hop and a skippety
And threw us in that hedge like a wild flibbertigibbety

This tale may be strewn with yickety yak and blah blah blah
But that's how ma and pa caused all that wacky brouhaha
