Premium Member hand me some time please

hours tick by and transcend
into nothing or eternity
maybe both in line with each other
body mind spirit hold the key
the lock may be rusty
and yet corrosion fails to arrest
what has to be and can be loved

vagaries obstacles dreams aspirations
blessings miracles uncertainty
courage and serenity seek for wisdom

faith without action is dead
action without faith barely alive
karma casts a warm shadow
for the light to emerge

opposites are not contradictions
instead they complement
compliment each other
with humility and vital force

the past is the past
future may not happen
and while it is difficult to accept
the here and now is all I have
which is a lot and
I am grateful with abundant passion

Soul Search

Today I seek the sun,
it's gentle painless play-
words of winter warmth
spur me on my way,
away from death wish,
daily things gone wrong.

Today I seek the sky -
empyreal blue bowl
that stretches thoughts so high
above an endless flow
of clouds caught carrying
this season's rain and snow.

Today I seek the earth-
created solid, oh so sure!
each grain linked to birth,
to death, to my clay feet
ferrying everywhere
life's sublime design.

Today, I seek the sight
of eagles and their wings-
let insight be given free flight,
not as instinct, but free will,
And still find a resting place
in conscience, human limits.

Today, I seek wild ways
of nature, just out of grasp.
Human natured though I am,
God's finger binds mind- heart in clasps-
flesh and blood married
to spirit's inclination.

Today I seek creation -
space, earth, created ploys
designed to bring me back on course -
marvellous designer toys -
The Almighty's mind in miniature
creates in me a purpose.

Today I see my self
earthbound, then soaring -
albatross escaping safe
from earth's dust bowl arena,
from humanity's wild roaring
freed, to search for peaceful dreams.

Today, I seek tomorrow -
a hope beheld, faith's make-me-believe
as bone producing marrow
makes vital force live by my blood,
so heart-man, blindly pumping,
can try transcend the dust of death.

Today I sought my self,
living soul, dying past -
yesterdays given up
form mortal man's newfound mast
supporting eager search for truth.
And then I'll live - at last!

Notes: Soul: a human being - "SOS=Save Our Souls." "Old King Cole was a merry old soul..."
"Strong souls live like fire-hearted Sun's, to spend their strength in further striving
               action." - George Eliot.
"Soul" ="Self" = The person considered as a unique indvisual.
"The inner chambers of the soul are like the photographer's darkroom.Like a
laboratory. One cannot stay there all the time or it becomes the solitary cell
                of the neurotic. Anais Nin.
"Soul Search" = anxious self analysis regarding one's beliefs, motives, moral
                qualities, etc.

Premium Member WWIII

It’s 2022, we’re in the final battle for the soul of the world.
There is no Indo-European root for soul,
the Greek and Germanic roots mean quick-moving, fleeting, mercurial.
I’d add evanescent, impermanent, ephemeral
disappearing, diminishing, dwindling
tenuous, brief, short-lived.
Whatever forever—that’s where we’ll be after WWIII.

World, home, think, breathe: man,
woman the vital force in man, the Anthropocene, men together
violence, virtue, virility. Also, werewolf.
War: to confuse, mix up, make worse.
The old are paying close attention but my sons ignore the thunder,
plate tectonics, gamma ray bursters and mortars on the Eurasian front.
Peace out—the end, limit, boundary, never to have been. So long,
sayonara, shalom, salaam. Take into eternity my hail and farewell.

Premium Member Who Pulls Our Breath

who pulls our breath
and then exhales
rhythmically
by day and night

to find out
we follow the breath
becoming one with the flow
without interfering

silence
makes breath shallow
akin to sleep mode
in the waking state

if breath is erratic
it signals thoughts are present
so we keep watching
until all becomes quiet

we feel magnetism
and nodes within tingle
we celebrate without seeking
delighting in the play

we remain in the bardo
of object bereft no-thingness
feeling fontanel portal
throb with God’s vital force

the energy grid comes alive
soma nectar flows as it likes
grazing all nodes impartially
we become the current itself

in timeless time we return
opening our eyes slowly
feeling the humming renew
its divine caress so sublime

Premium Member existential crises

she realised that she lived all her life as two separate people
identities that would not mix but kept her separate from herself

one that ran away from hardship trauma and reality
full of justified anger resentments and self-pity
with the alter Ego taking her to flights of fancy or delusion
sitting on a rock by the sea and pretending everything was okay
in fact two worlds that could not be further apart and disjointed

alcohol had become her solution and absolute power
wielding a powerful sword of self-harm and depression

through sobriety she found her absolute Higher Power
and a spiritual path of honesty willingness and openness
but faith without action was futile until she faced her own demons

on her journey she believes that she needs her independence
and on that way forward there is no place for him any longer
does not wish there was and made it clear that such certainty would not change

‘I still love you so much and that will always be that way’
but her words ring hollow and the romance of the century is dead
‘My walls have come down which is terrifying and necessary’
and he needs to be careful that the heavy bricks of separation
do not crush him in the process of emotional turmoil
because standing tall is difficult under a mountain of rubble
and he cannot succumb to her darkness for there must be light

he is grateful that he is sober as well and accepts what cannot be changed
guilty that he defined himself almost exclusively through the marriage
made his amends strengthened his belief in a Universal Vital Force
and begins to live life on life’s terms one day at a time to stay sane

his expectations are modest which is one way to avoid further disappointment
Ego and selfishness have been deflated and there is plenty of room
for a God of his own understanding who wants him to be happy joyous and free

Telephone rings
Announcing your name
Caller ID pings
This is so insane
Selfish acts of subterfuge
Leaving us both confused
Despite the tightening noose
Calling you is what I choose-
I can’t let go

“Hi, how was your day?
What’s that you say?
Have I learned by now
How to play well with others?
What? No? I don't have to bother?”
(Your words stabbing like a shiv)
“You have your own life to live
You have your own love to give-
Just not to me”

Somber thoughts of divorce
Sucking all my vital force
This will be such a blow
To the people we know
As mute as a mime
Losing track of real time
Zombifying my day
Hunting for quick getaway-
But no such luck

What shall I do thus
                    ~Telephone rings

If we fail to repair us?
                    ~Announcing your name

Lament inevitable loss?
                    ~Caller ID pings

Calculate incalculable cost?
                    ~This is so insane

I’m a solid secular success
                    ~Selfish acts of subterfuge

I’m a massive mental mess
                    ~Leaving us both confused

At least the former pays the bills
                    ~Despite the tightening noose

No use in crying when milk spills-
~Calling you is what I choose

What’s done is done
                    ~I can’t let go

Yield Not, But Know

Ash - grey chemised
she shifts her shape
as silver flakes float coat
stripped naked places,
sheath curves and angled spaces
Angry glitter tingle stings
thick earth skin with prickly flames
and rumble rise regurgitates
shimmy - shake shudders
in magma's deep thrombosis.

Her feather boa plume
tightens hot cloud chokehold,
acrid smoke flung up in air
without a care, heat exhumes
her arrival, announced fiery flounce -
Hot air blast flicks ash everywhere

Grande dame, her vital force runs hot,
and bold, red and gold- full blooded flow,
feisty fight to escape fate,
inner pulses push a violent urge
to bleed and drape red lava's cape
across green fields, human habitations
Unplacated, rising up, proud impairment
anger virulent, out of hellbent
immolation via pyramidal vent.
She lifts her tiara, red ruby globs,
hurls evidence in defense - great blobs
of royal reign - no abdication!

Throaty roars rend intonation
into screeching supplications -
She knows full well, soon enough,
her phoenix fate infarction
Too late for earth's burst heart
High drama is a living, dying art
Impassioned pleas too late for some,
Earth's burnout buries victims in her wake

High on an island hill,
the boy lay crushed, and still
on temple altar, throat cut, bled out
Hurried offering, did not appease,
nor bring softening release
for angry, ancient mountain
Head caved in by falling blocks
of measured, square cut stone,
the priest grovelled on his knees
Gravel filled their mouths, no space for pleas
No one heard half- whispered final groans

And Earth, once she settled down,
murmured not another sound

Premium Member beach bones

not a bone to pick on beach walks
with my lover just pleasure and leisure
strolls in the sand of time and togetherness
joined at the hips of mind body and soul

sizzling fingertips and footsteps near the edge
of the water crested in undulation
two people one wavelength
vital force and universal calling
treading a path of happy destiny

every now and then we find a fossilised form
minute skeleton small reminder
that permanence does not exist
of the past being bygone
and the future yet to come
as long as life grants us more hours

sometimes there is a bit of amber to be found
majestic tree sap for jewellery and ornaments
treasure gems and relics of measured meter
and the wonderful presence of nature
resonating resin if fortune is kind

occasionally a fish gnawed to the bone
by a seagull like Jonathan Livingston
its meaning as melodious as a Bach symphony
while our strides become a concerto in themselves
the saunter resembles a poem
quietly recited without words
simply flowing to the sound of the waves
of synaesthetic delight with sea stars’ applause
to the magnificent galactic power of
sun moon and stellar composure

sorrows melt away with each further step
the foreshore fuses between our toes
as the covered bones print a trail
washed away by tidal command

gratitude humility love and compassion
truly not a bone to grind with each other
blessed by a union made in heaven and beyond

Beauty In Distics

Sweet is ,sweeter
          when it is tasted..

          True love,
what is received and given ...

           Dry heart without love,
life without love makes you cry ...

            Tear of love is sublime.
            tear of hate, it's a crime ...

When lost that you may be found,
to find that you don't Lose yourself...

Preferably to be rich than to be poor,
further valuable to be human than to be rich ...

               False friend is failure
helpful friend, it is vital force ...

Premium Member when you stop digging

he thought that he had reached another rock bottom
paused meditated and prayed on events out of his control
there was still a gaping hole waiting to swallow him though
but he held on to the edges to avoid the void and oblivion

his heart ached but with rational thinking fairly intact
he reached out for the soul in honest spiritual connection
surrendered completely and asked for justice and fairness
for peace serenity courage and the wisdom of the Vital Force

with that he could image a future of freedom and growth
at least some glimpse of such a miracle to happen
all he had to do was not stand in his own way
to allow for a rain bow to come when the tempest has passed

he felt no anger nor resentments within his own disappointment
humbly requested for his character defects to be dissolved
and promised to put into action in all his struggling affairs
faith without work is dead and he wanted to live and stop digging
