IMPORTANT LOVE EMOTIONS

Love is good,
Love is important,
Important are the emotions,
Important are the feelings,
Feelings can hurt,
Feelings can heal,
Heal will the heart if honesty lies within it,
Heal will the mind if the thoughts are just.
Just is love when being sincere,
Just is the heart when life is genuine,
Genuine is the emotions if heartfelt,
Genuine is the feeling if they are earnest.
Earnest love must be to find God,
Earnest is the heart if God is within.
Within the mind thoughts must be authentic to the heart,
Within the heart that authenticates love is truth,
Truth is hard to find,
Truth differs all the time,
Time is of the essence,
Time heals all that is broken.
Broken is love when is unfaithful,
Broken-hearted is the unfulfilled love;
Love is beyond reason,
Love is the most blessed thing created,
Created by God, love is sublime,
Created by the sublimity of God’s love is straightforward.
Straightforward is a marriage that abides by love,
Straightforward is a family that consumes love daily,
Daily the heart congregates with the mind,
Daily love collects feelings from the heart.
Heart that beats fast is a heart in excitement,
Heart which doesn’t feel emotions is better dead;
Dead is the heart that doesn’t love,
Dead is the mind that doesn’t think,
Think before you commit adultery,
Think before you jump into a bed for lust.
Lust is not love,
Lust is unclean.
Unclean is the mind which ponders of the flesh,
Unclean is the body that is uninhibited,
Uninhibited is the lover who fakes love,
Uninhibited is the heart without compassion;
Compassion is a must,
Compassion is a word of God;
God created love to be given sincerely,
God did not create a lover to be controlled;
Controlled feelings bring sorrow,
Controlled emotions are dangerous;
Dangerous is a love of a promiscuous woman,
Sorrow shall accumulate if love is controlled.
Compassion is a must,
Compassion is a word of God;
God created love to be given sincerely,
God did not create a lover to be manipulated;
Manipulated feelings bring sorrow,
Manipulated emotions are dangerous;
Dangerous is a love of a promiscuous woman,
Sorrow shall accumulate if love is manipulated.

Betryayed

i'd just been declared surplus to requirements by my boss
with bloodshot eyes i plodded home completely at a loss
oblivious of my ex-secretary's commiserations
mum's late stage cancer portended impending tribulation
what bruised my heart was my boss' betrayal
his reward for my being unflinchingly loyal
my mind raced to dad's Dane gun, and a well knotted noose, and lethal pills
just one good hot and my sorrows will cease
somehow the thought of my fiancé filled my mind
she was of heaven-so gentle and kind
i'll stay for her. oh such a dear!
i whistled generously, passers by stare

the angelic fiancé turned out a fiendish spouse
she wouldn't cook, she wouldn't work or even clean the house
my income vanished as it came and it was all her effort
she also nagged whenever i offered mum support
but it was her promiscuous lifestyle that often drove me senseless
young, old, rich and poor; she was just so shameless
my limit was reached the day i caught her with my erstwhile boss
homicide was the easier bet but i settled for divorce
to my utmost dismay, the judge added the burden of alimony
to the same unfaithful villain who had wasted my money
worse still outside the courtroom she gave a parting shot
"you were definitely the worst of the lot
even the old judge was much better than you
as was the vicar, the postman and your valet too"

i regained consciousness in the emergency room of a hospital
where i got to learn that my condition had been fatal
somehow, i had consumed some capsules of arsenic
i was just so lucky to have been found by Nick
with tears streaming down my face
i told the doctor all about Grace
for what seemed like ages, he stared blandly at me
then with lips quivering, he said these words to me
“this morning my wife and children were slain by a suicide bomber
i was all set for Israel when you were brought in coma
my duty is to save lives, so i couldn't let you waste yours
life may be mean to us but someone else has it worse
adversities are like batons, you must get them to win a relay race
sorry you just got divorced but therein lies your ace
being alive gives you the chance to get it right again
your ex-wife's loss will be another maiden's gain”

The Best Year of My Life
By Franklin Price
07/06/2022

I spent the year of sixty-eight in Vietnam to be at war
I wonder as the years are passing, what we there, were fighting for
It wasn't for my marriage. Received “Dear John” on April Fool.
She did not care to wait for me. Someone else was in the pool.
She waited 'til November, before filing for divorce,
To continue her allotment that was spousal then, of course
The days passed by. The nights did too. Then the New Year came along
I caught the Freedom Bird for home, where I, no longer, did belong.
I mustered out in Washington to begin a brand new life
The divorce was finally final. I no longer had a wife

The year was nineteen sixty-nine. My best year had just begun.
Out of all the years, I've lived on earth, it was the best. It was the one
I found a job at KSC. I needed work, and money soon.
In July, I helped make history. We sent a man up to the moon

At the time, I did not know it. I had met my mate for life
She worked at the Center also and was someone else's wife
He was unfaithful, cheated on her, even with a newborn child.
To see this happen to her, drove me crazy, made me wild

Soon they were separated and I offered her my shoulder
Our friendship grew to more than that. My intentions grew much bolder
When their divorce was finally final, she was my lover and my friend.
By November we were married and we would be to the end.

Her child became my daughter. Had not married one but two
I am the father who helped raise her, was the thing for me to do
She has two children of her own. They both make me so proud
The oldest has our first great grand. You can hear me cheer out loud.

I lost my wife in January, this year is twenty twenty-two
Never got to see our great grand son; thinking of that makes me blue
He was born in February. She was watching from above.
She thought so much of family. She was sending down her love.

More than fifty years of happiness were spent on this earth together
Through the good times and the bad times, through the fair and stormy weather
She made my life the happiest, when she said yes, and took my ring
If I could do it all again, I would not change a single thing

For life is what God gives us. I pray to him that you concur.
He will guide me,'til He takes me, And I'll again be seeing her.

Rise and Fall

When you stand in a canoe it can be hard to keep your balance. Likewise when you live life unsure, scared, unfaithful, it can be hard to keep from falling into defeat.
“One cannot be blessed at the same time you constantly prepare for defeat.”

We are deceived by the lie that life is just “good enough” and it can’t get any better, but it can.
“You cannot move on to a better place in life when your roots are planted into the ground of mediocrity.”

When you are doing well in life it can seem that everything is going well and falling into place. You should know when your down that you can rise to better and when you’re up, you can still rise so you may soar like eagles and never fall down. We can bend, but we won’t break.
“Why does one submit to problems and challenges like dog showing its belly in defense of adversity when you can climb your mountains and plant your flag on top of victory, not defeat.”

Some of us just keep getting the short end of stick and wish for a larger, more fulfilling blessing. Keep believing for more by thanking and honoring God for everything and your grateful heart will be rewarded with gifts of grace.
“One can live abundantly by honoring God and believing in Jesus, but moths make holes in your clothes and locust plagues those who oppose Him.”

We wake up to the birds singing songs to the Heavens and go to sleep with the sounds of the night like a lullaby, taking you to sleep. The sunset in the evening reminds us of Heaven as well as the bright morning sun. Your life is precious.
“One can’t prepare for a new day and at the same time prevent it.”

When we make mistakes do not be hard on yourself. The God who sits on the throne of grace will forgive you and will make you’re mistakes a blessing.
When one has been inactive in the faith of ministry and giving, God can use you. The opportunities that God presents to you come and go like smoke in the wind. Prepare to serve Him.

Do not settle in one area in life. Be like nomads who follow the direction that God gives you.
“The mouth of a lion can be shut, but the word of God speaks with no restraints.

Lord, we are a flower In need of your sunlight.
We droop and wither away without you.
With you we will survive and thrive.
May God come and wash my eyes to see.
Thank you Lord for your freedom and grace.
Amen.

Unspoken Words Ii - Travel

Tick tock and watch the clock move back into the past. Let's enter a time machine and run into the past or step back into the future who knows? Let's go to a time where you and I were so equal we were considered as one. Let's go to those times when we were so high the sky seemed like the ground. Let's reminisce on those times that we went so deep you thought a bottomless pit was shallow. Let's... Let's Travel.

There was a time when I wanted to be your past, present and future but sadly you never thought that far. All you thought about is what benefited you. Whether I win or lose as long as you are happy that's all that matters. Well sadly tunnel vision only shows you a way forward not a way out. You never considered all possible outcomes, other ways to satisfy your needs. I know I'm a boy a woman can make a man of. I know I'm a boy that would stay up with you just to see a smile on your face. I know I'm a boy that can see the light in you within your darkest moments. I know... I know we can Travel.

I honestly thought our relationship would reach ground-breaking heights, but then we all know that you can't spell trust without "us." Did you know that success only comes before work in the dictionary? You were in such a rush to reach the top and I never understood why. You doubted me when I told you let's work and we'll succeed? You doubted the fact that just because we were not from the same world we couldn't reach an equilibrium. You doubted what I felt for you. You doubted... You doubted me when I said let's Travel.

They say a mistake is only a mistake if you learn from it. So if you do it twice what do you call it? A hobby? Cause it looks like you found a new hobby in being unfaithful. I heard that everyone deserves a second chance but do you deserve a third one? I don't know. Question: Will you ever find another person like me? You might someone who looks like me, but he's not me. You might find someone who laughs like me, but he's not me. You might find someone who holds you like me, but he's not me. Hell, you might find someone who cares, just like I did, but he's not me. We were supposed to be Romeo and Juliet. We were supposed to have a future together. We were meant to love one another. Hell, we were meant to die side by side. We... We were meant to Travel.

A Battle To Exist

Deep pain bores into scalp as eyelids struggle to open;
Glaring sun menaces eyes as they face the sky boldly.
First thought dawns on me like elixir; I'm alive!
The vast blue sky seems to smile upon my spirit holy.

Hands try to grasp hot sand as I wade to turn on stomach.
Pitiless grains escape between my fingers, mockingly.
In tremendous effort, I crawl to nearest patch of shade.
My heart pumps heavily while sweat oozes out profusely.

Images flash; I'm pushed off yacht by lover unfaithful.
Mock inability to swim; I acted it wisely.
His satisfied grin is all I could see before diving.
Skills of past champion revived, I swam courageously.

This virgin island, is haven to me now;
Life's strong in me! Branches I shove away, decisively.
Cautious exploration; Travelers trees welcome me.
With stick sharp I poke at it, water flows abundantly!

I do drink to my content and refresh myself while hares
jump around; I whisper to them and one stops daringly.
"Angel" I mumble as I follow it; on water melon I stumble.
Food! Hit with stone; humid sweet red flesh to wolf greedily.

Twigs, I gather and "SOS" I draw on the white expanse.
Angel from hole, under branched tree, beckons me temptingly.
A red bird hovers; branches dry and green, some Ravenala leaves,
enough to give me most desired tree lodge, marvelously.

"Now, some thorough exploration." Angel nods approval.
Disgust filled heart softens and I long to hug her fondly.
On other side of island, I land in a rocky area.
Good heaven! Rainwater is trapped in a pond; so lovely.

The sun sets the direction and I venture inland.
Swarm of mosquitoes invade my burnt skin, voraciously.
I run like a mad to land among wild peppermint.
No mosquito here…repellent herbs! I deduce quickly.

Handfuls I pluck, to rub on my body at night.
My watermelon shell, now dry, serves me efficiently.
Pipik, my red bird and Angel watch "friends, how to light this tinder nest?"
Eureka! here, my heart shaped glass pendant gleams suddenly.

Settled nearly for a week now, hope never leaves me.. I'm to live!

To Have Once Kissed The Monster Of Sorrows And Burning Death

I slow-walked hot desert sands,
cacti begging to stick my naked feet
volcano sun searing my white-faced skin
why, why has blindness sent me into this inferno
to wander its scorching earth, its mind blasting rays.
Shall I perish and become those white bones I've seen
just another beast that ate glassy sand
a dying soul, weeping for denied love, for lost love
a dying heart jagged in its loneliness
in its unfathomable emptiness,
hollow moans escaping parched lips
dried cries, showering hurt's coldest depths
with spittle from a cavern of pain.
Night winds seep into this body and its brief respite
no relief from broken thoughts
she that once had loved me the best
now as gone as, sweetest of hope once cherished so.
Has not, punishment been unduly gifted,
burned alive for a single unfaithful touch of lips
she that vexed me, ate my lust and gave this my due
now sings to me in my dying breath,
her true form now shown,
hideous in its ghastly armor,
its claws sharp as razors
its fangs glowing in crimson hues
only now does light reveal what lust had deceived
a monster birthed to bring only destruction.
I feel the sun, its rays warm my newfound white,
lizards hide under under my new bony white gleam
lighter now with flesh eaten and rotted away,
a ghost, staring blindly at that accursed fireball above
and in deepest of woes, in saddest of thoughts
curse the woeful day I first betrayed Love
to kiss that monster of sorrows and burning death.

Robert Lindley, 10-20-2018
Free Verse, Dark Verse, (A Dying Desert Stroll)

Note: Woke at about 3 am , dying of thirst. Went to
the fridge and got cold water to drink. Wide awake,
I decided to read some of my old poetry. One sad poem
gave rise to my sitting down and writing this, a dark
tale of lost love, punishment for a weakened kiss given
to a monster deceiving in appearance and later, too late
finally seen for what it was.
A tale that has had befallen many a young man-- when a
sexy vixen set fang and claw in, to led astray those
in a weak moment of temptation yield to its deceiving beauty.
This inspired by an old poem written in 1975, and the Halloween
 decorations in my neighbors yards..

Premium Member Unmade - FIRE AND ICE, part 1

Let the demons play — and let them fall
As they seek their next prey.
Merry-go-round, lost and found,
Salt trodden deep in earth and pain.

Zombies crawl. An ass's stall.
I don’t need this bottle.
I don’t need you.

Forgive me —
For all the prayers I whispered in your name in vain.
Enemies within,
Those who proclaimed to be my friends.

Lucky, I suppose,
That the last seven years were already hell —
So when your shadow came,
My mind was ready to let go of this shame.

To my unfaithful beloved —
A mask of joy,
A face long tarnished.
The whore of Babylon.
The queen of ice.
Go to your best friend.
I am not him.

My errors —
But thy affairs.
My vain prayers —
Your dragon’s lair.
Wheat, tares,
Smoke, and ashes.

Set my demons free or bury them. It matters not.
But let the world know —
There is moloch...
And then,
There is you.

1. (Honest John)
2. You, (Snow White ) the Ice Queen —
You both were demons
are demons
demons

The tragedy:
A ripple in time,
That cost me (Ginger)—
One of my mentors.
Spiritually, emotionally.
I bit the hand that fed me.

You —
You gave me amnesia.
Trauma-Induced Dissociation.
And I laid my pain on (Obsidian butterfly)

You humiliated me.
You dehumanized me.
You demasculinized me.
You unmade me.
You shattered me.
You haunted me.

Because of you…
I can now be friends with (Obsidian butterfly)
I hadn’t spoken to her in 8 years —
Because of her divorce.
I projected myself on her husband,
Wrote her off.

And yet, I reached out again…
Because of you.

Two weeks ago, I saw a beast.
And I thought of you.
Along with this and that —
Something broke.

I am
A corroded lead nail —
Twisted, cracked —
Forgotten beneath flaking paint and dust.

You squeezed my soul.
And all that remains is bitterness.

I loved you.
You F***ing whore.

I was beaten,
Battered,
Threatened at gunpoint.
You raped me —
By letting him.
I was forced to watch.

You violated my body and my soul
By what you allowed.
And I fractured —
Trauma-Induced Dissociation.

But for the longest time,
I unfairly choose to blame someone
I'm sorry for being angry towards you, (Obsidian butterfly

Go For It

Life is a dangerous struggle
Full of inconsistencies, challenges and pains
Life is not fair even to the fair skinned
The dark skinned are not faring better either
In everyone's backyard a little rain must drop
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it.

In life, even the rich also cry
The poor in pains and agonies cries ceaselessly
The middle class have no problems 'cause they never existed
The orphans on the street go bare footed and hungry
Everyone is plagued by this turbulent journey called life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it.

Life is an endless and unpleasant adventure
Ending in one phase and continues in another phase
Beggers beg and no one gives to them
Widows cry and no one hears their voice
Everyone is caught up in this crazy web called life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it

In life, the religious are not the righteous
The righteous looks rough and rugged
Unnoticed because they have no class
For long we have been in this turmoil called life
And it has promised to continue unabated, no end at sight
Whatever happens, set your goals and go for it

The smart acts smartly by running away
They cross the sea, the Mediterranean sea
Unfortunately, you can't run away from life
Run away from it here and you will meet it there
Even though we're here, I know we'll soon be there
Only if we can set our goals and go for it

Life is everywhere, has no friends, has no foes
Life rewards, reproved and reprimands
Everyone is lotted opportunities in life
And it's their responsibility to take them
The faithful pray while the unfaithful prey
Whatever you do, set your goals and go for it

Life has no end, life has no beginning
Life is an omen, the omen never lies
Life keeps everyone busy on their own lane
Though some lanes are fast, some are slow
But ultimately every vehicle gets to its destination
Only if we can just set our goals and go for it

Life cares for no one, Life is hostile
Life is an excruciating and toilsome lot
Imperfect Life preaches perfection
Unfortunately, no one needs perfection
We're all trapped in this vicious cycle called Life
Whatever be your lot, set your goals and go for it

Carnage At Sea

They packed their picnic basket s and journeyed towards the sun, with boxes of liquor, creates of beers and a drum fill with carbonated soda; busloads of them, drove down the slopes, with dug out boats and makeshift floats.

They traveled with the band, guitar and key board fold up in their hand, with cymbals and steel drum resting on their shoulder; they braved the heat and cross the street.

They were all in a jubilant mood so they set off to have fun in the radiant sun. Hundreds of them landed on the beach in the sweltering heat and pitch their tents. They stare at the distance as the ferocious waves wash against their feet.

Big ships start rolling in, and the carnival boat began to sing, the music was pounding and the people were dancing and chanting to the rhythms. Some were waving hand kerchief, and handmade flags, people of all races colors and creeds mingled together while the big ship cruise towards shore.

The ship came to a sudden stop and several small boats ferried the people towards the shore. Their bright colors blended with the sun drove their passion to the extreme and so the party began.

Meanwhile the band on the shore, sets off a different score and the people went wild stirring their soul to the extreme. Drunken men sprawl out on the beach, hugging the sand with a bottle of beer in the other hand while the unfaithful woman walks around entertaining the men without gown.

The beach party was in full swing and people continue to pour in; boat loads and the ship loads of people crowd the shore. I noticed something strange from a distance; blood was washing around the side of the ship, the exact spot that that destiny was walking in. It wasn’t a gun man or a family man; it was a school of shark that surrounds the boat mauling the passenger in their throat as they leave the boat.

The blood thirsty sharks mauled twenty-one people to death without a shot fired or an action discovered. No shouts or scream not even a whisper was heard, they all died silently in their dreams.

The carnage took place in the middle of the sea and the sharks slowly pulled the captain’s body to the bottom of the ocean..The beach party continues in full swing and the light on the beach never grows dim.
