HEART THAT DELIGHTS IN THE LORD WHO IS OUR GOD
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, calling each of us His child
Fully adopting us though sin-defiled
While transforming our character from being earthly-wild…
Now, we are bound toward heaven, divinely-styled.
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, drawing us by His compassion
Fully caring for us though stained with transgression
While purifying our mind through His sanctification…
Now, we are cleansed toward perfection, enjoying His redemption.
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, ruling over us with His faithfulness
Fully guiding us though disobedient along stubbornness
While drawing our soul near His altar of prayerfulness…
Now, we are surrendered toward righteousness, submissive unto holiness.
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, helping us by His leading
Fully controlling us though rebellious due to backsliding
While disciplining our will against worldliness-standing…
Now, we are humbled toward genuine worship, grateful for His life-building.
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, assuring us by His security
Fully upholding us though doubting due to uncertainty
While teaching our spirit upon His wisdom’s integrity…
Now, we are enlightened toward ministry where we can invest for eternity.

Who is our God, enabling us through His empowerment
Fully training us though ignorant and filled with humanistic sentiment
While subduing our arrogance of haughty entitlement…
Now, we are revived toward fruitfulness marked by faith-advancement.
Our heart delights in the Lord
Who is our God, showering us His blessings
Fully providing for us though unfaithful midst grace-pressings
While rebuking our selfishness that can bring cursings…
Now, we are grateful toward joyful living, overcoming lossings.
