STEPPING INTO THE WOODS

Submerged in the sea of the maddening crowd
I see a verdant island emerge in lonesome me,
displacing the sound stratum of cacophony loud,
unattached from the anchored mind I make me free.

In the precinct of pristine sprawling thicket I wander,
as the rising sun bursts with colors on calm canopy
golden beams flush the leaves in spectral splendor,
in the tranquil depth of silence I merge with serenity.

In the embracing breeze the enchanted boughs quiver,
make mystique motif with lattice of light and shadow,
to me the tapestry of ecstasy the foliage offers forever.
How to hold it within me or make it mine I won’t know.

From the cool cradle of copse I’ve a long way to go
with the forlorn life across the amber landscape fallow.
Grandeur of emerald sheen in my mind I’d strive to stow,
create for my pale heart an expanse of jade meadow.

When I'd seek rest in the fading hours of twilight glow
I’d step into the waiting woods, melt me in its shadow.

Premium Member Love of Edelweiss

This is a slightly revised repost but which was formerly deleted.)

I climbed the high mountain,
breathed in the harsh high air,
really relished the beauty
of the valley where you lived.
And all because it was a custom
to present a perfumed edelweiss
to you whom I loved
in those days gone by.

But you would have none of it,
rejected me out of hand.
I felt dejected and frustrated
but then remembered the old legend
how a damsel princess of old
the beauty of the vale,
remained nubile unattached,
for none deserved her hand.
Thus to her death she remained single
and all the men who loved her, wept.
They buried her high upon a mountain
and covered her grave with roses red.
But as spring came upon her grave
grew lovely white flowers whose scent
embellished the mountain tops,
and everyone agreed that
the flower should be a remembrance
of their love that remained a dream.
A flower all called edelweiss,
a memorial for eternity.

THE ULTIMATE FREEDOM

Walking the life up the steep hill path,
the prying eyes glued to the sparkling rocks
that conceals some pristine crystals of diamond,
I spend all my time to search, unearth and possess.

On the top of the blue hill a palace I see,
its beauty allures me with its golden shine.
The soaring wings of desire grows indomitably,
take me flying there craving to enter and occupy.

Through the enticing portals I fly inside,
the palace instantly turns into a golden cage,
and I lose the expanse of the open sky I adore,
as my freedom fades away to the mirage of nothing.

In the waterfront nearby, from behind the bars
I see raindrops on the cradle of the lotus leaves,
glistening in joy as they dance free in the breeze,
unattached to the embrace of the beguiling green.

As I take an introspective flight deep within me
the bird called desire morphs to detached dew drops,
happily shimmering on the petals of the serene soul,
the golden cage disappears with the melted mirage.

In dark abyss of obsessive chase for the transients
the journey ends, and as the unsighted light appears,
a new voyage begins from nothing to something ecstatic,
and from something to nirvana, the ultimate freedom.

Finding Peace In Trauma

I have become unattached.

My thoughts were displaced and torched with a match.

Ashes become fairy dust.

And that old truth became woven with rust.

In depression, I could still function.

But I was unable to cherish even a moment with the blessed sun.

When mania allowed me to dissociate.

I could feel reality turning faint.

I hope this freedom from guilt will never undo.

A life so far wasted from never questioning my view.

But by the time I became trapped in my haven-

All I could do is call out like a raven.

Everything that escapes will find a new herd.

And disinhibition has caused me to act absurd.

This mania I shall always remember.

Even as it is hacked away like timber.

But some happiness is not worth chasing, always.

And certain types of pain remind me of my younger days.

Yes, there are some months I do forget.

But these new aspirations, I do not regret.

Premium Member The Love of Nature

At times, the feel of the sun on my whole body is delicious
How warm, how comforting, how addicting
Of the sun's rays I shall never have enough
Why, amidst life's harsh darting arrows
The warmth of the sun is like a protective umbrella!

At other times, the caress of the wind is arousing
It tends to guide me towards adventure
It tends to bid me to listen to its call
To imagine that somewhere, on high grounds
It can take the form of hot air balloons and just swipe me away!

More, each time, the touch of the rain feels soothing
The flames that inhabit my body die out
And cooled off, I can shake my toils away
And smile at life
As if I were its own queen!

And of course, the wet and cold grass is inviting
On it, I do feel like reclining
For as long as my free time shall allow me to
Grass, smelling like the paths of the other worlds
Bid me to smile, at nothing and no one in particular!

Pray, to enjoy the display of nature
I have chosen to remain unattached
And carefree
Unburdened, even if this implies
That I shall have to be penniless!

Yes, there, scotched on the mountain side, I get to dream
Of flying like birds
Of flying without wings
Of swimming in torrid waters
Of touching the moon, while keeping my feet on Earth!

Pray, I shall not get home tonight
I shall sit and wait on the mountains for the moon to show up
Who knows, I might turn into a werewolf
Or meet a romantic vampire
Who knows where my nature-bent imagination shall take me?

Premium Member The Power of Innocence

Innocence is a profound divine feature
Like a lotus leaf unmoistened from all vice
Extolled in sermon talks by every preacher
Plunges like a cascade from the paradise

Shines with the purity of jasmine flowers
Like an unclouded crystalline dome, it gleams
As melodic as a birdsong from towers
Pristine like the quiescent water in streams

Innocent people wish for others' welfare
Their lives are open diaries in all spheres
With no inhibitions all things they do share
Their hearts unspoiled like stored honey for years

Innocence is God as He is unattached
Replicate Him and to Him perfectly matched.

3.07
“Strange that knowing lust
as an enemy of knowledge,
one so weak and nearing death
should still crave sensual pleasure”

3.13
“Why should a person of steady mind,
who sees the nothingness of objects,
prefer one thing to another?”

3.14
“He who is unattached,
untouched by opposites,
free of desire,
experiences neither pleasure nor pain
as events pass through”

Ah! Reading verse three point seven
Words of wisdom flowing from heaven
The clue seen by very few
Is that we may engage in pleasure if we renew
Renew renew renew our free flowing attention
Avoiding at all times indulgence & stagnation

Moving on to verses thirteen & fourteen
We see that it are weeds of ferality we need to wean
Recognising that fear & desire imagery
Are ego contaminants of delusion & memory
Let events unfold and karma play its role
What matters images moving as long as we are whole

Verse revisited on 25-October-2021

Taking inspiration from the enlightened sage
Even whilst lower and higher minds battles wage
We have on the one hand animal cravings of a ghoul
Whilst on the other, divine impulse that makes us feel whole
Thus recognising our feeling of mind-body ferality
We rotate sense polarity to reclaim serenity
For to imbibe wisdom in definitiveness
We must merge in totality with That oneness
Whereupon though we know, there is oscillation
Between equanimous meditation and turbid agitation
In timeless time, boundaries between form and void blur
Head and heart aligned, melds with love, as nodes within stir
Responding to ego cravings as of body need, not greed
Priority shifts to love and light as bliss throbs breed
Whereupon though we renounce not any delight
Each act is surrendered to God day and night
By consciousness transmutation we become free
Breezing nonchalantly through life in our each entrée
In time stretched stillness moment by moment, love entwined
Following the scent of love and playing out earth role as assigned

In the dreaming domain
of dainty dawn
gentle zephyr flows,
ripples the radiant facade
of the placid pond,
where
on the lilting lap
of a silken lotus leaf,
floating forlorn,
rolls restless
a rain drop,
      resplendent.

The sparkling rays
of the scarlet sun
transform it into
an opalescent pristine pearl,
lest it drops down
       disowned,
the leaf entwines
its transient trance
with satin threads of love,
but doesn’t get attached
to the possession,
      ephemeral.

Under the searing sun
the pond water simmers
within the cauldron
of the scorching day,
the singed lotus leaf
scrunches to wait
for the end of its time,
its guest fluid gem
resigned to destiny
wistfully dries up,
freed by desiccated longing
      unattached,
of the prudent leaf,
and
disappears in drifting air
to obscure triviality
with it’s a transient entity,
      unpossessed
in adorable abandon.

In winter twilight
as the wilted leaf
of the defoliated tree
of my languid life
floats on ebbing tide
of the consumed time,
my essence distils
a drop of elixir,
the bracing bliss,
under luminous divinity
I embrace enlightenment
      engrossed,
imbibe sublime serenity
of detachment derivative,
      illumined.

Premium Member Pure Awareness

Pure awareness
Unattached to form
Just IS
As it IS
Complete
But since the awareness wishes
Choicelessly wishes
To engage in movement
It does
Creating matter
And energising it
With a part of itself
Without reducing itself
Or being affected by matter
Though in it, with it
And so
Matter ...
Or consciousness
Thus energised
By awareness
Yawns
Stirs
Stretches
Awakens
And becomes itself ...
Awareness
There then being no difference
No separateness
Between the awareness
That brought this awareness
Into being
And ITSELF

The human form
Of consciousness
Is the latent awareness
Having already yawned
Already stirred
And now awakening
Within form
To become awareness
Pure awareness
Without form
The body
An instrument magnificent
Enigmatically magnificent
Within which
Consciousness detects
Grid lines that connect ...
The entire body itself ...
Completely
Each grid line
Having nodes
These nodes are then occupied
Energised
By awareness
Making them conscious
Just as awareness
Once made consciousness awareness
And so
Each node is now consciousness
Enabling awareness
To be joyous in movement
Of the node consciousness
Born
Energised
And awakening
Within it
Later to be distinct though unified
To itself become awareness
As is ALL

These grid lines
All interconnected
Across the body
Of which the spine to head chakras ...
Are but one
A prominent one but nevertheless ...
One of several grids
Each continuum of the grid
Whether at the node or without
Being alive & aware
So as such
Everything being awareness
In entirety
Yet ...
The magnification of awareness
At the nodes
Which are consciousnesses
Dormant and now created, born
Or say energised
Awaken
And thereby enable
The totality of consciousness
Within form awakening
And experiencing awakening
In conjunction within
Nodes awakening
In unison
As a symphony
Of the formless movement
Of awareness itself
Are connected at all continuums
Of the entirety of awareness
Boundlessly
Within form
Without form
As the one awareness
That IS

Disclaimer:

No elaboration offered
For the revelation in stillness
Which each consciousness
Awakening
To & as awareness
In timeless time
Receives and becomes
As One in Oneness
Pure Awareness

Flashback from 30-November-2018

Finally Too Late

On the warm wet day in december
I look back at my life and remember
How it was in days gone by
Everyone i loved taken and still i know not why
Years that cant be lived again
Moments gone in a whisp of wind
A tear slips from my eye down my face
Times i wish could be replaced
Each year has swifty sped away
To be replaced with dismal gray
Never having risked too much
Never knowing true loves touch
Always remembering the way pain felt
Dealing with the hand fate dealt
This year not like all the others
I found my heart in the hand of another
I fought hard to steer clear and remain unattached
Little did i know my determination was matched
For you never gave a second thought
To get around my walls you fought
And not just a little but with your all
And you were gone when i felt them fall
When this coming year the day arrives
That on a sparrows wings our hearts take off and flies
When your beautiful smile brings air to these lungs once again
When our lives finally truly begin
You will feel complete in every way
My love will show from within every day
I will strive during the years for you to never need to doubt
You will always know what my mission in life is about
I will hold you tightly as your body and mind recieves its rest
Watching the rise and fall of your chest
Every nite loved no matter our past
The only love destined to last
A mission only to love you unconditionally
For now til infinaity
That is all i want to give to you
Even on the days that are hard to get through
Because baby girl theres nothing you can ever do
That will stop my love for you..
