Life is a playground
We are all players
Conditioned since birth
Trying to reach the top
We all struggle
Without peace
If we stopped playing
Became aware
We would realise
We are a dot in universe
We just cannot excel
Without cooperation
All that we gain
Will die with us
Aim not to play
but to enjoy happily
every moment of stay
Be conscious of life
Act thoughtfully
Aim is not to win
But to end this game
eternally continuing
To know the self
To get out of playground
Ruled by our ego and senses
We just go where they take us
We don't ponder deep
Merely wanting to prove
We are better than rest
Endless is our quest
Ending only at death
We don't realise
We are soul not body
We belong to another realm
A world sans ego
No competition
No play
A place where we
mindfully exist
Blissful every moment
To win the game of life
We need to end our ego
Restrain our senses
Control our thoughts
Realise they belong to body
We are soul
Then try to see ourselves
Look within, for light of Lord
Our soul, the real us
trapped in body
Seeking emancipation
That is the goal of game of life
Those who succeed are winners
Others are born-again
Another play ground
New set of rules
A new game

I can’t see amidst the darkness
Can’t make out the figure standing before me
My mentality has been damaged
Yet, I manage
But why?
Must I continue?
So many times have I felt the urge
The urge to cry
Only they would not flow
They remain trapped inside
Just as the feelings that I feel
If only the ears can be set free
But who would want to do that?
If no one even wants to speak to me,
Who would dare come close enough to free my tears?
What am I afraid of?
Could it be rejection,
Or would it be pain?
There is only one who could bring the relief that I need
We have met before, but briefly
Each encounter we had was cut short
It was some time ago
So my heart doesn’t remember her
Neither does my soul
I tried to jog their memory,
But they only drew blanks
I told them she was the only one to make me happy
And that her name was Love
My heart and soul both responded
Love Who?
The dark night of the soul
Feels like a wall so deep,
anchored in the heavy hours of waiting,
holding back the dawn
like stone against the rising tide.
You place your palms against the cold edge
and whisper a prayer into the stillness.
It feels as though your words fall quiet,
trapped on this side of the shadow,
where Heaven seems silent
and the midnight feels permanent.
Yet prayer is not a fragile thing—
it sinks the roots into the deep darkness,
holding fast when your strength gives out.
For even in the quietest valley,
the Father is listening in the deep.
He does not leave you in the shadow,
and the God who hears in the dark
will carry you into the light.

our imagination.
I am far from adored innocence
I am a flawed perfection
Believe me, I want significance
Felt useless by rejection
I am willing to feel peace all day
I need to be heard during nostalgic nightfall
Crickets call for me as I stray away
Into the narrow path that lead to His hopeful hall
Losing my mind into the sinking sad of your saturated woe
Buried my feet below the surface of your waves to and fro
Anything happens sadly when happiness fails us yesterday
But, tomorrow is a day away, so I pray we make it all the way
Still, you are the ever-swaying clouds, glistening in the desert sky
What about you pour down your healing rain and dew?
Sorry, but not sorry I am sick with the crazy love flu too
Colliding with rain of disdain that loses grip of jubilation on high
I feel a jolt of energy as I pass you by like a quick bolt
I broke down your walls and, yes, you allowed me to
Honey, you think I am silly, innocent and inexperienced,
But I have learned life’s lessons that are so difficult…
I am not unskilled and naïve…don’t you have a clue?
I try to prove my worth…however, you’re not convinced…
Remember December and its elegant ember that burns within us
Soon, June shall grant us a July of justifiable change, so don’t fuss
Clinging on to the dark ceiling of set-me-free
Oh, how I long for authentic, sky-high liberty
I am a victim to vulnerability these days unfortunately
My voice is vital to His ears as I cry for help honestly
Tigers of tragic tension and turmoil try to attack me at every angle
I am hungry for Your gracious guidance, for I am an unsolved riddle
Please forgive me, I am a sinner and I am not innocent
I have done you so much wrong in the past and present
I have a million downfalls, but I am strong and full of courage
In a dangerous dilemma, trapped in failure jail that’s as cold as a fridge
I am frozen and left freezing
Again, I am deceived entirely by your shady intentions
I am sick of people-pleasing
So, I won’t pretend I am not sinking due to sorrow sessions
Oh, dear friend, from the start,
I thought you had a kind heart
You hurt me…
You took my innocence
Someone saw me crying the other day
They didn't know me but asked if I was okay
I sniffled and said someone I know is dying
It's not perfectly true so I feel bad for lying
It's not an old family member or a friend of mine
But it's the me I used to know that's dying
I can't get out of bed anymore
I'm trapped in a room, eyes are the door
I can't escape the room that is my mind
The monsters whispers the only thing I can find
I'm a ghost again in my life
I was hallowed out and given the knife
I can't be trusted with this device
I hurt everyone, even myself I slice
Even when I don't intend to
I try to spare them from the pain, I swear I do
I push them away
Further and further each day
But then I die more and more
As I become but a shell of what I used to adore
Is this affliction terminal now?
Is this the cheery girl's final bow?
In the womb there was no room
for a babe to thrive and bloom.
By the will of God conceived, as
a regretful burden perceived
by a single mom who can't comprehend
generational blessings she's chosen to end.
Fearful tears drip down. Who could care?
She feels so trapped, but the clinic is there.
"It's not human yet," "You'll feel relieved."
Each familiar-as-Hitler lie is believed.
As time elapses, the loss has begotten
trauma and shame that won't be forgotten.
In the womb there was no room.
The chamber of life became an empty tomb.
------------------------
In the inn there was no room
for the babe in Mary's womb.
By the spirit of God conceived,
in a filthy manger received
to a virgin mother whose eyes behold
the very Savior the prophets foretold!
With joyful tears, she praises the Lord.
Though fearful, she chooses to trust His word,
believing her Jesus' blood sacrifice
would pardon her sin and give her new life.
His cruel death was mocked, but Jesus is risen
for generations of sinners, forever forgiven!
In the inn there was no room.
From the chamber of death, life rose from the tomb!
When it all starts,
Within my walls, darkness falls,
Formidable tall scars scrape against my heart,
Tears fall, dangling from my eyes,
I cry for all the pain, I ache.
It starts and I’m trapped in sadness,
Feeling the need for love,
Lost love, from past love, eclipse my thoughts for today,
Wanting to change the pain,
But I can’t really do that now,
Can I
From above you rest,
Living your best life, up in heaven,
I really hope you are doing well.
Your lovely son, misses you,
Somehow he has shown more strength,
Stronger than me, even though we were apart,
I can’t help miss you too,
All that happened,
Doesn’t really matter now,
You’re in heaven now.
I sit here on this cement step
leading down to my abysmal abode.
The full moon at my back
does nothing to soothe
my seething soul.
I tell myself that
I wish not to be trapped of my own accord
in the very halls I so despise.
Yet one brief foray above,
to the place where my family resides
grants no reprieve;
just a reminder that the reasons for my seclusion
dwell in the actions of one.
A brother's choice brings his brother pain.
But no blame is cast on him;
I do not begrudge him his happiness.
And yet, his choice confuses me;
selfishness and immaturity,
malice and manipulation
confront me with a female voice.
In the interests of peace
I hold my tongue;
But how long can I last?
How long until my convictions and pride
overcome all forced barriers?
A gentle breeze picks up
and quiets my musings;
I let it brush my face,
fingers of the wind feeling like
a lover's tender touch on my cheek.
I allow myself imaginings of happier times
and I descend into reverie
as my body descends the stairs.
My dream girl's not a doll, no Kewpie cutie,
Or an heiress, or an actress on the screen.
She's neither nun nor acrobat,
Nor wears fine feathers in her hat,
No frump for Trump Republican,
No beauty queen.
She's not a princess trapped inside an ivory palace
Awaiting rescue by a valiant knight like me.
She doesn't dazzle like aurora borealis,
Or sing arias from "Carmen" like Ms. Callas,
Or practice taekwondo,
Or even know tai chi.
But the girl I dream about has joy and laughter,
And her heart's as full of love as it can be.
When my spirit's low, she lifts it to the rafter,
And I know we'll have a happily ever after
Every time I dream of her
And she of me.
