Loki's Lament and Curse Part 4 By Thomas Laufey

Odin:
The crimes of the father
Reach out to the son you yourself has agreed to that
Old as you are.
Loki:
Then you Odin are truly cursed
Even more so than me
And I had never agreed to that when it came
To any of the aesir, vanir or jotun.
Unless we were in a time of war.
And Thor and Vidar will inherit
The burden of those transgressions
Soon I shall be free Odin and when I am
The worlds will tremble and burn with my wrath
For the deaths of my children
From the betrayal of the aesir and vanir
Against the clans of Laufey and Farbauti and Muspelheim
For you odin and tyr for imprisoning me
Hast made an enemy of their king,Surtr.
And the ship of nails, will be the first sign odin
When the ship is spotted on the sea free of its mooring, my Chains will break
At the same time the fetters of my son fenrir shall shatter.
Then your doom and the doom of aesir is nigh.
For i am the firestorm, the breaker of worlds, the sly god,
The father of monsters and the flame dancer

"Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom". Thomas Jefferson

When I was very young, regardless of society's philosophy,
Our parents taught us that HONESTY was the best policy.

Seems to me, that true HONESTY gives birth to inner liberty.
Seems to me, presently, impression goes farther than ability.

Genuineness is fading, and hypocrisy is hiding transparency.
Seems to me, presently, one's craft reveals less creativity.

Seems to me, presently, an age of falsity and dishonesty.
When truth permeates the soul, it will release HONESTY.

Seems to me that pride and blind ambition ends in futility.
Intellectual HONESTY is the 'high ground' of true integrity.

The lack of common sense, trust, and unity is a travesty.
One's popularity must always be inferior to one's credibility.

Premium Member The Fb Link To a Short One Minute Video of My Life- Thanks Andrea

Hi Souper Friends! :) I just read Andrea's blog about the latest on FB....which is a short video prepared by FB about the highlights of your life since joining the community. I had already done my video of my time on FB, but Andrea reminded me that we can share....You should check her blog and get the link for her movie.....lovely!

Here is mine....so you get to know more about me and my life. There is a pic of my daughter getting baptized by my father, who is a pastor. Precious precious memories....Also, the tiara that you see was sent to me by F J THOMAS who wrote a poem in which she crowned me the Queen....That was a lovely package I received from her, and it also contained notes from other loved ones in my "kingdom". That surely is a highlight in my life. You also see a pic of three men....the one on the far left is my husband, the others are his brothers.....Also pics of my daughter, Shereen, the joy and light of my life!

It is a lovely little movie....Hope you enjoy. Just copy paste this link into your browser. Hugs

Premium Member The Beauty Is In the Walking

It's really a marvellous gift to walk
to go wherever moving your two feet
just taking only one step at a time
enjoy all before you that you meet

Think fully of all that's in the walking
the ability in walking is full of grace
hard to find words to describe it's beauty
feeling within a movement all up your face

But destinations cause such interruptions
the flow and energy comes to a stop
this betrays our hopes and our focus
makes one filled with feelings that flop

Always wanting to move on like life
turn the next page of that super book
this is like walking take the next step
while you can before road turns crook

('But the beauty is in the walking; we are betrayed by destinations')

March Covers the Tiny, Shivering Buds With Frost

March covers the tiny, shivering buds
with frost, soon they'll adorn women's hair
to attract mates who seek an intimate affair;
some guys like dark hair, others like blonde hair,
its the choice of brooms, of certain studs
who prefer ladies who dress with a distinctive flair!

Earth and sea are silent and dominate
the mood of bleakness and anxiety,
impatient eyes peak from windows
and seem tired of snow dreaming of flowers,
of sunshine, of all that's lovely...
to put away a long winter of solitude!

Granny plants seeds in clay pots,
they lay on the balcony where pink roses sipped
rain and basked in scorching sun rays,
their aroma filled the breezy rooms decorated with curtains
that flapped and were lulled by the incoming breeze
blown in by elms that reached the window of Louise...
while Lily embroidered a wool shawl and sang!

Nobody is in a rush to go anywhere,
boredom slows them down quite a bit,
they can't find a better reason to exist;
they lack energy and motivation unless
a shot of whisky warms their cold blood
and a witty smile beautifies their gloominess!
Emily acts differently, she takes Furry for a walk
and meets Mat who entertains her with his sexy talk;
he's a notorious playboy and all girls are aware
of his tactic: he chases after them thinking he's a stud!

Traces of snow are only left on the yellowed grass,
Clare spreads breadcrumbs attracting pigeons that shriek
and swooping down they scare the whims out of Thomas,
who's is playing chess with Alex, he turns into a freak
with an expression of contempt for the harmless creatures!

March covers the tiny, shivering buds with frost,
staying inside is too boring and bears a cost
for the bachelors who search for their new darlings
in open spaces where romance lives and thrives!

Psalms 63:1 - (KJV) (A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Glowing like the gentle sun, revealing skies
Enthused by luminous hopes, inspirations
Inviting soothing seas, memories, reprise

Feelings awash, hues of vivid sensations
Remembering the most beautiful promise
In rainbow colors, whimsical vibrations

Silencing rain, assuring doubting Thomas
There is wondrous love in the heart who believes
Much more beautiful than the brightest phlomis

Erasing pain and sorrow from one who greaves
His love fills the soul up with amazing peace
It’s the gift for those whose heart truly receives

His blessing, the wonder of love that won’t cease
He’s holding your hand – you’re His masterpiece

Premium Member Tribute to an Unknown Poet

“Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.”
— Thomas Gray, Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard

Well known or not, we write our poetry
Our inner souls reflected in our ink
Also influenced by our family tree
We every now and then cause some to think

The years pass by and then away we go
Well known are some, but others not so much
‘Tis easier to honor those we know
While unknowns by the wayside fall as such

Each unknown poet lived a real life too
Their love of verse sprang from their dear hearts’ wells
Their memory forgotten, but still true
For remembrance and respect we ring the bells

This tribute to an unknown poet’s life
Shows that we care and mitigates our strife

Tidal Waves

Brackish debris filled surf retreats
depositing into hard sand graves
pictures stolen from post cards

Shards of a city strewn disjointedly
still ticking clocks idled in the moment
streets awash in decorative disarray

liquid mud roiling through the streets
ravenous pain stalking its victims
cold shock of sunshine’s failure

hands clutching grabbing
carried on the crust of fear
waving in silent farewell

luxury and comfort crushed
wild furor of seismic waves
expending tectonic energy

Gazebo of Prayer - Thomas Kinkade

a perfect
place
a peaceful
space
for a time of
reverent renewal
a moment of silence
to refuel
the trees
soften the light
creating harmonies
of shadows and hues bright
fragrant floral aromas
float in the air
in this small sanctum
of solitude fair
birds sing happily
in the trees
as if a church choir
praising God with ease
thanking Him for the
grace given
to this little
garden of heaven
look and listen and
allow His presence
to fill our hearts
in its small world essence
the gazebo of prayer
helps connect with Providence
a beacon for all of us
in providing guidance
a shelter, a haven
a refuge, a retreat
getting lost in this gazebo
where my God I greet
