Emerald walks

Upon the Multi Sands Beach Blvd, a vibrant trace,
Of rainbows painted, in this sun-kissed place.
Where Florida lizards, emerald, quick, and keen,
And tiny frogs, hop through the meadow scene.
They revel in freedom, where the grasses grow,
Beneath the warm winds, with a gentle flow.

The fresh, cool water, with a rhythmic sigh,
Sends waves to crash, as sea turtles drift by.
A silent ballet, of ocean's grace and might,
As ancient creatures, swim in morning light.
And on the shoreline, where the breakers roam,
The surf guys gather, feeling right at home.

With 'cloud coffee cups,' a steamy, morning treat,
They watch the ocean, from their sandy seat.
Then afternoon arrives, with leisurely grace,
For tea and biscuits, jam-sweet on the face.
A moment of calm, as the day gently turns,
Before the evening's lively spirit burns.

For later, laughter echoes, clear and strong,
As smash burgers sizzle, where they all belong.
With "cool kids" gathered, from the territory wide,
A fellowship forged, with nothing left to hide.
Of land and air, their vibrant tales unfold,
As the proud, brave flag, in the breeze, is bold.
It moves in the air, a symbol, free and bright,
Crowning this day, with its glorious light.

Premium Member Soaring Eagles

The majestic eagle preens itself as a brilliant new day is born,
Flexing its lithesome wings to prepare for its daily bourne.
The rising sun enhances it exquisite gilded plumage.
Gentle zephyrs will uphold its wings, its flight to assuage.

From atop a craggy tor where nestles its rustic aerie,
It surveys its domain, rugged mountain and rolling prairie.
From its lofty perch, it spots vistas mere man will never see,
Anon to ride the surging winds, its earthly bonds to flee!

Stretching its powerful wings ready to begin the day,
It sets about that eternal quest to seek its daily prey.
Aerobatic savvy it will use and hunting skills it will test,
To fill is needs and the gaping maws of eaglets in the nest!

Other winged creatures flee when its clarion scream is heard.
'Tis perilous to invade the territory of this raptorial bird.
The august eagle displays a most imposing aerial ballet,
As it swiftly and silently descends upon its hapless prey!

It is apt that the eagle is the symbol of these United States.
There are so many venerable traits that in each equates.
Cleared-eyed vision, firm resolve and imposing nobility,
Meeting all challenges and dangers with stalwart versatility!

Babies

Human babies surly are the most helpless creatures of them all,
born without ability and dependent on a breast,
born before our memory,
and all we do is rest,
our heads oversized,
and unaware at best

some animals take in territory,
we shut our eyes and cry,
while others have mobility
the human baby lies

a head the neck cannot support,
no clear instincts, no clear thoughts,
lacking something of the wild
we don't have a first resort

the instant animal awareness
appearing years after we're born,
eventual we roll and crawl,
limited by our physical form

we don't have the strength of monkeys
and their brains are doing more
when we're born we're complete numpties
useless to our very core

over time we grow and become much more
but many don't, of that I'm sure,

Premium Member Victims

This world of ours is not always a good place
behind closed doors so many terrible things occur.
Hidden from plain sight some suffer endless torture
by the very ones who should love them the most.
Terrible things done sometimes in loves name
horrific beatings handed out, just for the sake of control.
Murders committed simply because one person will not share
killing so no-one else can take their supposed loved one away.
Children living in fear beaten and starved flinching at loud voices
creeping round like little mice hoping praying they are not noticed.
Gangs that bully and terrorise neighbourhoods while selling drugs
slashing up rival gangs purely for more territory to increase their strangle hold
to continue their evil crimes. Young girls and boys sold into sexual slavery,
victims each and everyone and all for profit. War torn countries
full of horrendous abuse, dead and injured cast aside like trash.
Yet for each who deals out these horrible crimes once they were
different, once they were loved. Can all be explained away by the fact
that they were taught by those that reared them in these horrific circumstances?
Or is it true that some were born monsters who enjoy other's pain and grief?
Practicing their craft on helpless victims as they grow up pulling wings of birds
slicing and dicing up beloved pets. Always attacking the weak and helpless.
Plain bullies that carry out their crimes in secret afraid to face those of strength.
One never really knows what goes on behind those closed doors. Yet when a
victim finally snaps and turns the tables oft times they are the ones our systems
punish and lock away behind bars while their tormentor is left free to continue
their rampage. Who I ask is the beast? Mankind surely deserves this name not animals.

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO DESERVES OUR ALLELUIA FOR HIS GLORY

December 31 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Revelation 19-22

Key Verse – Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.

FAITH IN GOD WHO DESERVES OUR ALLELUIA FOR HIS GLORY

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s gratefulness…
He did save our souls by His merciful graciousness
And now transforming us from sinfulness’ uselessness
Toward ways of holiness with His forgiveness’ effectiveness.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s humble position…
He did justify our status by His redemptive adoption
And now rescuing us from transgressions’ destruction
Toward deeds of kindness with His workmanship’s sanctification.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s wholehearted sincerity…
He did convert our perspective by His wise sovereignty
And now pulling us from worldliness’ vanity
Toward values of eternity with His leadership’s authority.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s Biblical stand…
He did bend our will by His powerful hand
And now freeing us from selfishness’ demand
Toward sacrifices of service-errand with His Scriptures’ command.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s obedient paces…
He did straighten our attitude by His righteous braces
And now separating us from pride’s curses
Toward exaltation of worship-praises with His compassion’s forces.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s fruitful stewardship…
He did change our work-position by His offered relationship
And now nurturing us from humanistic friendship
Toward peacefulness in prayer with His blissful fellowship.

God deserves our alleluia for His glory through our faith’s eternal life history
He did quicken our spirit by His mighty victory
And now strengthening us from becoming weary
Toward expansion of soulwinning territory with His Gospel story.

FAITH IN GOD WHO RULES OVER US

God rules over us with His greatness
Letting us exalt Him along His goodness

the awakening again night sweats wet sheet
a cold damp room filled with gloom screams
wails sighs distant cries the war on the mind
has began all over again passing through

enemy territory life exploding like bombs
quieting thought mere panic send familiar
waves throughout your body gun shots loudly
rang out the soft beating drum of your own

infant heart beat takes over wires surround
your womb deep inside hostage situations
the calmness gathered beneath drenched
covers from the trenches of a mental break

beating down your self consciousness while
fight flight abruptly arrive to rescue you the
sinking helpless feeling of darkness overwhelms
you while you recite i matter an yet the enemy

is invisible taunting teasing tampering with your
inner most peace ripping brain matter tasting
blood of traumatic events severe violent hardship
your body trembles your mind captured you quietly

lay there helpless asking where is chaplin where is
red cross you are alone within your own rapture
heart pounding pill box fall to the floor mental
health treatment on the other side of the door

Premium Member The Red Poppy

The barren trees swayed
 in the fall breeze
 the moon cast shadows
on leafless branches
giving them life like features
the forest became spooky
as shadows danced about
the sound of gurgling water
traveled over the distance
it became the only sound
heard in the night
only the moonlight
guided them on their way
in the stillness of the night
they would have to sneak
into enemy territory
one broken snap of a twig
could make them aware
silence was of importance
they skirted among the trees
surrounded the enemy encampment
capturing them without a shot
we now wear red poppies
to brave soldiers of the past
so we never forget
the lives lost in war.

Through the Rear View Mirror

You were in the rear view mirror of my life
That one chance encounter to last a lifetime
What a wonderful day it was

Frolicking about the pool two strangers in a foreign land
The ocean waves beckoning us to foray into unknown territory
Sea urchins, star fish, and shells waiting for us to join them in dance

The heat of the day matching the rising temperatures in my heart
Overhead the sun baking our skin like a toaster set on high
Glances were exchanged but only for a moment

For any lasting looks into those deep brown eyes and…
All clean fun our laughter speaking for itself
Until the setting sun and a waiting plane ticket ended it all

Back home my thoughts would return to that day and you
Though I knew the city you lived in I didn’t know your name
Or the street you resided on but the memories remained

Like a haunting which would not go away, a ghost only imagined
On that rare occasion passing through your town
A watchful eye for the woman who now held my heart hostage

But it was for not, the years multiplying like an adding machine
Days would fade into night but not thoughts of you
Of that moment in the sun when all felt perfect

And then…it happened
A twist of fate
A phone call from a friend

A dinner
A date
And everlasting love

New Voice In Our Yard Yesterday

A voice I’ve never heard before
spoke to me as I walked
past the copse of oaks yesterday.

I stopped. Listening
to the pleasant sound
in our back yard
announcing something sensational.

I could still see my breath
in the early morning sun,
making me feel good,
like getting to work on time
in those years before retirement.

And then I wondered
if the new song bird in the trees
stopped to rest
while traveling south for winter.

Or was the feathered creature
seeking its mate
or declaring new territory?

I looked into the branches
to admire this source of
reveille, but failed to find it.

Today I heard silence.
Maybe we’ll meet again
when we also travel south in a few weeks.
