not long ago the earth was young
a dark shadow rose and blocked the sun
the people were lost in the chaos and hate
they lost everything to this dying fate
as luck grew low and people grew weak
they cried to the sky "its a miracle we seek"
this was the first time the moon did glow
yet not one soul would know
the moon was the miracle of which they cried
and without the shadow passes as the sun bound
by the moon, cycled the earth around and around
peace remained because day and night
slept peacefuly with dark and light
with their truth, protected us all
but with them soon came the fall
a fight broke out between anger and tears
night tried to stop it, but then came fears
fears and envy bred hatred anew
and chaos again spawned and grew
all was not lost at this time of pain
but hope was rare and almost found it vain
a balance must create a chaos
just as finding causes true loss
so if we could not have perfect peace
then how do we quell hatred the beast
if light and dark were truly the same
why was it chaos who was always to blame
finally the spiris decided to go their own ways
tired of wasting energy on the fighting days
their final solution was what saved us all
keep far from each other or suffer the call
if one met another we would all return
and this world that was protected would cease to turn
so now with fears, hate, envy, chaos, tears, dark, night, day, and night along
if these nine spirits had left one another and where seperated and gone
this is where twilight enters the truth
along with the others and joining them were; friend ship, joy, compasion, teamwork, turth
twilight you see was the one that brought with it the rest
twilight brought together everyone and their best
twilight truly showed them the way
and these are the words twilight spoke that day
as long as i remain, i reside of both
dark and light
of day and night
of chaos and compasion
of envy and teamwork
of truth and tears
of joy and fears
of friendship and hate
so believe in me and have no shame
it is only i that hold the burden of blame
i who am everything of you and yet
i who have nothing to lose or benifit
you must reason among one another
and find it in your selves to trust each other
If you orginally read this then, you would have seen it was a villanelle, actualy same it was the poem Hope, which I posted before this one. A very silly copy/paste error that was pointed out. Anyway fixed but original was too long now it's two poems. Thanks for reading.
He know returns the clerihewer of the fewer
Throwing his poetry soup idols in the sewer
With these naughty little lines of rhyme
It's MOSTLY in fun time after time
I think this is very long overdue
Of these I have written quite a few
Technically this one is out of form
With the rest I'll get back to the norm
I don't know what happened to our King of the quatrain
He's writing couplets and rhymes, but I won't complain
Just hopefully he doesn't ever do a free verse
Or I may have to break the rules and curse
Speaking of Jack the Quatrain King and cursing
He has an admirer of his poetry that's been rehearsing
I say that because who leaves comments before the coffee's even hot
I have my suspicions that Mr. Spivey is a robot
Once more with our King to what level does he make me stoop
I left a comment for a poem that contained in the title, Betty Boop
But haha my comment was the first to post
Too bad my house still reeks of burnt toast
I have always written alone, but now enterred a contest of group
With a green eyed girl that once wrote a poem about dog poop
I just had a little fun with it, but never asked her why
Because no one else would write about it was her reply
No if you're going to enter a teamwork contest do it with a Star
For surely you'll have a lot more chances to go very far
Of a thousand different jokes I could make
I'm going to leave it at that for my soul's sake
She seems like a sweet Welsh girl, but I think she has some fire inside
I think if she get's mad the best tatic would be to run and hide
Hopefully I won't let my big mouth get me into that situation
I'll let my words do all of my confrontation
I have always included the great PD in these
But I haven't talked to her in a while and couldn't ask her please
I won't take liberty at this time, I will first reflect
Really it's just a statment of respect
As Spring turns into Summer
The shift in temperatures
Tend to get a little warmer….
Mother Nature calls
For her children of the forest
To come out from hiding
To enjoy the warmth and love
Of the atmosphere,
To establish friendships,
And also, to create
Everlasting partnerships!
Over here, and over there
Hiding amongst the bushes,
Squirrels appeared one-by-one
As if they were playing games.
Then all of a sudden,
Each of their tails
Gave just a little wiggle
To signal to the next squirrel
To disappear until they are gone!
But their escapade
Was being carefully watched
With the wink of an eye
And the impeccable hearing ability,
A clever fox outwitted
The maneuvers of the squirrels.
Being so observant,
He detected the remnants
Of a delectable feast
In a garbage bin positioned
Further to the right side of the porch.
He was so sure that
No one would ever notice,
That based upon his strategic moves,
The tantalizing aroma would entice
His sense of smell and taste
To achieve his ultimate goal.
Nevertheless, the squirrels did not utilize
Teamwork to their advantage.
However, with careful planning and execution,
The fox knew the place and time of
When the garbage was disposed.
A conniving fox used
His intelligent brain to accomplish
His intended goal.
Ultimately, the housewife had
No idea of what transpired.
But she realized over time,
From the corner of her eye,
She caught a glimpse of a fox
Near the garbage bin.
Unbeknownst to the fox,
She knew that the fox was kind,
And in search of food.
She always remembered that,
“A little helping hand to someone in need
Offers a sincere friendship in return.”
Kindness goes a long way
In teaching others to be appreciative
For the random acts of kindness
In which they are about to receive.
Nature is no exception to the rule
…. where love and compassion is bountiful !
Although gay women are attractive,
Can their love be counted on,
A chemistry that’s non-reactive,
Oligarchs of Amazon?
They face perhaps same traps that we do
Think of men as only drone,
An inverse baby kind of voodoo
Makes weak labeled sex to groan.
Where all good jobs are matriarchal
Confident they know what’s best,
A standing joke the patriarchal,
Litmus test for world unrest.
The thought’s out there this might be right on
Most know men have lost the race
Is ‘Women Better’ just a long con,
Bankrupt hyssop’s sexist’s face?
Misogynistic choices kill love
‘Death to men’ no better prayer,
While teamwork puts the hand in glove,
Seems to matter both are there.
Are women victim’s of man’s error?
Most men raised by woman’s side?
Small boys ignoring all their terror,
Little men, their country’s pride.
Men seem to rule, but die in battle
Block what festers deep inside
Then led to slaughter just like cattle
‘Free’ state purchased with their hide.
A girl I loved once had obsession
Wanted more to be like man
A mom at war with her depression,
Made this seem a better plan.
I can’t report she had much luck though
One girlfriend would beat her up
A flower dressed in man’s tuxedo
Life remained a half-filled cup.
But is it nature, is it nurture
Leads us to our confused art?
Heed dying gasp of cloaked John Bircher
Even Bible plays its part!
If life for others is what you choose
This can’t guarantee you’ll win
For life in faith means you could still lose
Doing good can still be sin!
A pig, a poke, that’s all you get,
Some joy, calamity, and yet
If God is dead, get real, get hip,
There’s sure release in death’s strong grip
As poet, I see humor in
This tale I spin, the life of men
God’s presence in man’s history
And Grace that spices mystery
For human love I know exists,
In spite of pain, it still resists
The certain coming of death’s call,
Though life be short, it is your all!

This ones for you. John
Cheers to the last straw!
You drew it and smashed it.
You broke it and slashed it.
This is the end to your lies and your manipulation.
This is the final goodbye to the child that tried more than they should have with you.
What is teamwork to you?
when you treat your wife and son the way you do.
What is teamwork to you?
when you don't care about your own health but your wife and son do.
One more time for the psychopathic, machiavellian, narcissist in the back!
What is teamwork to you?
when you don't give a single ounce of care into your wife and sons health?
No need to answer with all your usual lies and slander, keep your childish mouth shut this time.
Always wanted a son? Yeah? You had one...
Always wanted him to put his foot down right? grow up? He did.
When your son finally puts his foot down to the one person that is the root of all his mental instability.
Now that just cannot happen, right?
It's completely unacceptable!
Unimaginable!
Absolutely outrageous!
How dare he not let you tell his mother that she's a useless human being!
How dare he not worship every damn step in your insanity fueled wake.
How dare he care about his own health.
He should be doing what you say. Right?
Your son could have gone on, but it's just not worth his time anymore. He has no more words left for you, you've never cared to hear them. From this day forward, your sons voice will always be dead to you.
Cheers to the last straw.... John.
Hope it was worth it. I've lost track of how much I've tried with you. I tried till it started killing me mentally and physically, I'm tired of you crying to me about something then going straight back to your nasty ways. Not my fault that you don't care to remember that your wife and son struggle with your mere presence on the daily. Ignorance is bliss, up until it isn't.
I love you Mom, with all my heart and every fiber of my being but I can love him no longer
Coach Dad
It is a magic time when a child ventures
Into the world, spreading wings,
Beginning the oft painful process
of moving from the nest to the sky.
And it is a fragile time, where first experiences
Weigh heavily on shaping the direction
In which young life begins to move
And often whether it moves at all
It is a trying time, of fear and nervousness
One little step out on their own
The start of something bold and beautiful
The molding of a young child's eye
Much is made of parents and peers,
Oft unaddressed is the role of others
Teachers and coaches, a collective entity
Not dissimilar from fathers and mothers
The torch of responsibility being passed
If only for a brief moment
No more clinging to the safety and comfort
of what is already a norm and known
Encouragement or unkind words
So often a matter of chance and moods
Have mighty impacts on growing hearts
Precious opportunities to help a growing life
Young minds and hearts right on the surface
We remember our coaches, good and bad
Caring or not, patience or none,
The struggles, thin times and thick
A team of seven year olds
Is not unlike a litter of unruly puppies
How will they ever pay attention?
Give them a ball, a glove, and a game!
Pride, courage, athleticism, self-confidence
All showcased for the world to see
Taking turns and building bonds
Grasping much more than a newfound skill
If you can stand to be measured,
and fail by that measure, even repeatedly
But come back from it, you'll forever have
One more vital skill in life’s toolbox
One youngster will not win the game alone
But the team can, and its joy
Is multiplied many times over.
All these things and more can be taught.
Whether it be on the field or off
Teamwork, respect and camaraderie
Will forever be entrenched in the mind
Of a well instructed boy or girl

True workplace beauty resides not in grand corner offices
Or sleek designer furniture that impresses.
Nor is it found in trendy open floor plans,
Or state-of-the-art gadgets in employees' hands.
It doesn't dwell in fancy lobbies with marble floors,
Or in boardrooms behind imposing doors.
It's not confined to Silicon Valley's sprawling campuses,
Or Wall Street's towering glass fortresses.
For workplace beauty knows the craft of productivity,
And cares not for superficial creativity.
But...
Perhaps it blooms in a sun-lit, plant-filled space,
Where ideas flourish and stress has no place.
Perhaps it hums in collaborative zones,
Where teamwork thrives and innovation is sown.
Perhaps you'll find it in quiet focus nooks,
Where deep work happens, away from overlooked.
Perhaps it dances in flexible seating arrangements,
Adapting to tasks with swift rearrangements.
Or...
Perhaps it sparkles in a well-stocked break room,
Where casual chats dispel work-day gloom.
Perhaps it glows in ergonomic design,
Where comfort and health perfectly align.
Perhaps it sings in spaces that inspire,
With art and colour to light creative fire.
Perhaps it whispers in soundproof pods,
Where concentration nods.
For...
It is the flow that comes from a well-designed space,
The productivity that quickens work's pace.
It is the balance of function and form,
That makes coming to work the happy norm.
It is the synergy of team and place,
The innovation that thrives in this space.
It is the well-being that permeates the air,
When employees know their company cares.
So...
Make not the mistake of neglecting your space,
For the workplace, beauty sets the work-life pace.
It's beyond mere aesthetics or trendy design,
It's where purpose and people intertwine.
For "Workplace Beauty"...
Once embraced, it transforms the daily grind,
To a place where great work and joy are combined!
There is fire in your tenderhearted spirit
You are the stars,
Sprinkled in the ebony sky
Search for a dwelling place most charitable
Don’t run away…
I’ll take some time to recover from a broken heart
I’ll remain in my cage-like dorm
I heard you screaming for help
I hope this rope will do you some good
To pull you up to cloud seven
Or cloud nine…that would be sublime
I wish you could figure things out
Faster than lightning strikes
Attempting to reveal to you the best route no one has stepped foot in
Trust me, I know where I’m going from here
Nudge me if you are starting to build up fear
In your heart…pounding vigorously with repetition
God has sent me a profound vision
Let us seek the Lord while He may be found
Disregard the anxiety and let Him get the best of us
And He will surely lighten up our loads
There is strength within you
So, why are you so scared of the dark?
There is strength within you
Look up to the eagle for a fruitful flight
There is strength within you
You got to dig deep to find the gold
There is strength abiding in you
When I’m with you…we need to get along
As long as He notices our teamwork
I’ll be your flashlight in the dead of night
I’ll be there by your side forevermore
We’re on this bumpy ride
Don’t lose faith in the long run
You have strength inside and out
There is strength burning in your heart no doubt
Restoring might in your heart
~~~
In your heart
~~~
I stick close to you
Like a dog, dependent on you…
Where are you going, partner? Somewhere new?
Anyways, good luck on future findings
The answers are tucked in your heart
In your heart
You got to earn back your strength
I’ve seen your miracles and talents – so majestic
That strength is within you...
Within you…
I treasure it completely
You complete me, sweet darling
Will you let me have a slice of it?
That would be totally legit! =]
It is amazing yet so true about top notched sports stars...
There is always a time when they're the undisputed stars...
They'll be top seeded in all the major tournaments they entered in...
And unsurprisingly and unceasingly they perform to cement their top billing....
At such periods in time, their reign is sublime and they're the ones to beat...
Probably their aura of being top seeds quelled the fight out of many a lower seed..
Only in such periods when time seems to stand still as they reign supreme....
Best exemplified by Datuk Nicol Ann David who was 109months queen supreme ...
Like any other champion, she gets dethroned but she'll soon regain her top ranking...
But as age catches up, her subsequent reign is not going to be smooth sailing...
It's impossible for her to equal ever again that record setting 109months reign....
It took years for her exorable climb up to such a pinnacle of excellence...
For a champion, long hours and back breaking training sessions are unseen ......
And a professional teamwork are in place to ensure such perennial dominance...
But the fact remains, after a period of unceasing dominance....
All champions, whatever their game, will fade into the distant horizon...
Makes you wonder, stars of yesteyears, if age is not in the equation...
Will their mastery, skills and experience match new and upcoming champions?
Take a look at Datuk Lee Chong Wei in badminton, he was once the top honco...
Losing was never an option and his invincibility was an aura lesser players yield pronto...
After an unfortunate enforced lay off from badminton due to suspected drug misuse....
Therein lies several episodes of labourous climb back into the world rankings...
These days yesteryear champions are unceremoniously chucked out of rankings...
Each time an eager young turk charges into the finals and resets the ensuing rankings...
I stand atop the mountain high
A champion, I’ve earned my prize
Through sweat and tears, I’ve reached the sky
My triumph now, it’s no surprise
I faced my fears, I pushed on through
My team beside me all the way
Together, we achieved the new
The glory that we have today
But it wasn’t always easy
There were moments of defeat
We had to stay strong and believe
In ourselves, in our team, in our feat
We trained hard, we gave it our all
We knew we had what it takes
To rise above, to stand up tall
To be the ones who never break
And now we stand here, victorious
Our hearts filled with pride and joy
We proved that we were the best
Through hard work, teamwork, and employ
So let this victory be a lesson
To all who strive for greatness too
Believe in yourself, in your passion
And with hard work, you’ll see it through
For champions are not born, but made
Through dedication, sweat, and tears
So keep pushing, don’t be afraid
And conquer all your doubts and fears
And when you reach the top of the hill
And feel the wind upon your face
You’ll know that all your hard work still
Was worth it, for this is your place
A champion, with heart and soul
A leader, who inspires the rest
A winner, who never loses control
But always strives to be the best
So let this victory be a reminder
Of all that you have achieved
And let it drive you to be kinder
To yourself, to those in need
For champions are not just about winning
But about the journey that they take
The lessons learned, the growth within
And the memories that they make
So when you look back on your life
And see all that you have done
You’ll know that every struggle and strife
Was worth it, for now you’ve won
A champion, in heart and soul
A leader, who inspires the rest
A winner, who never loses control
But always strives to be the best
