Around one hundred millennia ago
there was a man from Eritrea.
“I run like gazelle and can throw,
a spear to kill was my idea”.
Feed my family, develop a tribe,
with teamwork hunger satiated.
But now too many subscribe,
so it's time we migrated.
No more can we sustain here,
we must find pastures new.
Sadly my time is drawing near,
so son it is up to you.
Wandering north meet Neanderthal
interact with a white skin wonder.
Ice advance, again home we must haul,
and our peace is blown asunder.
Head west we must choose a road,
one way Roman another Viking.
Just another human episode,
to verdant island of our liking.
Ancestral history investigations,
I come across a heritage stat.
67 million in just 25 generations.
I could hardly believe that.
But its true check it out,
two parents and keep doubling.
It soon hits 67 million no doubt,
in just 500 years, could this be troubling?
Well maybe a concern to some,
but when it is all translated.
The probability has become
that we must all be related.
So I book a DNA test place
to investigate my genetic area.
It tells me that there is a trace,
of a man from Eritrea.
Zealots are totally incapable of any emotion other than rage. It is an unalterable law that people who claim to care about the human race are utterly indifferent to the sufferings of individuals.
— Quentin Crisp
ZEALOTS
The raging machine, storms of zigzagging arrows, fueled by each word that bounces off the trampoline of their eardrums. A zealot sage, an oxymoronic knight, not a saint. Stained not with tears but billowing eyes and cheeks.
emotional wreck
concentrated on one theme
no deviation
The heave and the ho of heavy sacks. Teamwork in torrent. The zealot doesn’t stop to hear a prophet, except Simon. Simon will buzz in their ear about a diamond but the team has their eyes on the gold. With cold, strong hands, they sharpen their swords, meditating on the prize. They want to topsy-turvy, throw out the law, upturn the tables of dirty coins.
if one turned his head
a scene of perfect substance -
heals blind, deaf and dumb
Does the tyrant trump the zealot, or is power the point? Both explode. Not on their sides, you will be imprisoned or stomped out. Simple Simon was a zealot whose ears steared toward the Son of God.
Simon the Zealot
apostles known by their works
one’s tax collector
Zealots loose whilst hell’s hammer wills the fastening of cruel suffering. This innocent has the right approach to rid the world of tyrants though the chariots have not entered the course. The zealots would still be wielding their swords as the stone was kicked away in a powerful way.
Zealots have their way
the martyrs follow Christ’s way
Simon chose wisely
Speculation and a whole lotta hope
went out to the new leaders of both teams.
one fella even went as far as saying, he
saw an offsite
performance of two league performers
during a televised championship warmup.
He thought what was beiung presented insulted
longtime fans, and merchandised buyers alike.
" he said he gagged in observance!"
he complained of both offensive manuvering and
defensive posturing. He saw the flaws in momentuem and complained of
forward movement
even when moves and sequenses weren't as effective as the
should have been.
Uniformity and collaborating
means teamwork. Rusty stiffness
and unimpressive showmanship
causes backlash.
so smooth and even sportsmanship
gives coach and managers
hooray points.
New Team Lineup.

Seven Teams all start from the Horus Position
they compete team by team until only one
team is left
I sit here and cry for all the lost
The victims of our world in conflict
The innocent should not pay the cost
These tears a coming horror predict
Mothers and children blown away
The victims of a world in conflict
We talk yet we have nothing to say
Not understanding what's going on
Mothers and children blown away
With blood spilled is the victory won
Survivors haunt ghost towns as they wait
Not understanding what's going on
We cannot leave the outcome to fate
Watching the destruction of the weak
Survivors haunt ghost towns as they wait
Rise from our silence it's time to speak
No longer looking the other way
Watching the destruction of the weak
The helpless do not know what to say
I sit here and cry for all the lost
No longer looking the other way
The innocent should not pay the cost
Part two of the teamwork contest.
Alternating verses me then Eileen.
My dear Mama, oh so dear,
A mother true, always near.
From childhood's dawn till present day,
You guided us, showed the way.
With "Sugar Boy" by your side,
Together you led, with love and pride.
To "Oko Eti-ose" and "Oko Okuku" farms,
We trekked, with loaded arms.
The roads were long, the loads were heavy,
I cried, but you helped me be brave.
Coming home, with weary feet,
You soothed my tears, made our hearts meet.
With meager pay, as teacher true,
You and "Sugar Boy" saw us through.
Education's doors, you opened wide,
Degrees acquired, our futures inside.
In pain, you helped; in need, you gave,
Ensuring food, a roof to save.
Your partnership, a shining light,
Taught me teamwork, day and night.
You and Papa, a perfect pair,
United, selfless, beyond compare.
No difference, in love and care,
You both showed us, how to share.
May your days be long and bright,
Filled with joy, love's warm light.
We recognize, your sacrifices grand,
Thank you, dear Mama, hand in hand.
The "Busy Bees" danced
The "Nightingales" sang
All day long we practiced
To make a difference with
Our acts and words for the visitors.
They would see full flow of energy
A mix of teamwork and play and loving
And on opening night in the auditorium
Up at "Central Farm" outside the City of Belize
We shared the love
As love was shared with us
We were from rich and poor families
In Belize, British Honduras, but...
A week of free summer fun gave
Sweet memories of butterflies, and breeze
And the order in which we enjoyed three meals
And in between snacks, and comfort sleep
With sound of wilds, and waterfall.
Memories of that day Miss Wilshire from the Y
parked her car, and walked into our yard
And spoke in silence with Granny
And when she departed
Granny summoned me from playing
Beneath our house; I felt scared
Hadn't done anything wrong. She said,
"You and your sisters got summer treat"
That was sweet music to my ear, I can still hear.

compound word verse
There is a worthy cause you see
could start a trend which needs to be
spearheaded.
Deal with arrogance, grand pooh-bah,
don’t act like some maharaja,
bigheaded.
Be stubborn and members you’ll lose.
Teamwork succeeds under one who’s
clearheaded.
What to do with folks who complain,
a leader in angst must remain
coolheaded.
Share the wealth and share applauses
lest you find your worthy cause is
deadheaded.

I used Rhyme Zone and How Many Syllables?
The latter lists both "coolheaded" and "deadheaded" as 4 syllable words. I count them both as having 3 syllables. Have contacted them about these two mistakes and await a reply.??
Have found all of my compound words online at Farlex Free Dictionary.
I like to bring board games into the classrooms every once in a while.
It causes my students to laugh and play, some of them first time smile.
I’ve never found a better way to check these things, their basic reading level, and more.
“I’m going to tell; you’re a cheater! You lie! That’s not the rules!” It shows me losers, sore.
This amazing method tells me a lot, and rather quickly, going room to room.
The teachers roll their eyes, wondering what I am doing; hoping I will leave soon.
“I can’t be on a team with her, I don’t like him, we do not get along.”
Some of them have targeted the whole class, when they sing this silly song.
Known they are as the Lisbon Lions
But of the West of Scotland were they scions.
Etched in history is their name
Because of that 1967 game.
Immortality upon them is endowed
As they made their fans so proud.
But as the years do move on
So are we left with fewer sons.
One such by the name of McBride
Recently passed to the other side.
A centreforward of great repute
He could score with head or either foot.
Such a joy was he to watch
It made you so proud to be Scotch.
Yet all his roots dated back to Eire
Than which land none is fairer.
As a boy he grew up in Govan
Where the once proud Rangers' writ did run
However,because of their sectarian divide
He could not be signed by his local side.
He plied his trade skilfully and well
As every team he played for can proudly tell
He showed goalscoring was his great art
And his teamwork played a major part
When he finally joined them in the East End
He was destined to become a true legend
His goals set him in a world apart
And he played for Celtic with all his heart.
Although he played not in the European final
His contribution till Christmas that season was vital
With goals galore and impressive teamwork
He was a model player who would never shirk.
And so the crowning glory of his team
Without his contribution would not have been
As a man who never lost the common touch
He remains in our memories loved so much.
