Another Sex Scandal Hits the Party of Family Values

Another sex scandal hits the party of family values

Another fall from imperial grace
Another pastor
Caught in a red hot sex scandal

He claims that his wife
Had an affair with a pool boy
Who tried to black mail him

The pool boy denies it
Says the man liked to watch
And it was a consensual affair
No black mail at all

But the damage was set
The man
Was the president
Of a prominent university
An close allay of the President

Who led the evangelical support
For the President
And remains one of his close allay

Preaching that the Republicans
Are the party of family values
But in the end
People are people
And sometimes
They engage in inappropriate
Wrongful actions

Sinful actions indeed
Contrary to the teachings
Of the Christian faith

While preaching the opposite
In their smarmy snarky
Hollier than thou Attitude

they are hypocrites
Not following the tenants
Of the Christian faith
That they so proudly proclaim

In fact not doing what Jesus
 would have done
Yet another family values preacher
Caught up in a tawdry sex scandal

Now do doubt the president
Will deny that he even knows him
Just the way it is
It is what it is after all

Premium Member We May Become a Time

We may have found a time
in human maturation
when our history of depression
becomes unveiled mutual suppression
of healthy impressions,

We may be coming upon a time
of opportunities for climate ministrations
to reverse spiritual dehydration
of ego-souls
and our co-habitating eco-soils
for healthy safety.

There may come a space
on Earth's revolutions
when natural LeftBrain
abstract deductions
listen with less WholeEarth violence
resistance
secularizing dissonance
to Earth's ancient RightBrain inductions,
invocations,
win/win invitations,

When physical
personal
political
economic knowledge
follows EarthMother's original teachings
metaphysically multicultural,
interdependent
eco-political wisdom

Indigenously rebecoming
our return to Here with Now,
3DSpace with 2Dipolar Times
EgoSoul within becoming healthy EcoSystemic
anti-racist
pro-Green EarthJustice,
rebecoming NonViolent CoEmpathic UnDuality
verbal/non-verbal confluence
LeftBrain ironic coincidental Space
with RightBrain iconic co-operative Time

May be coming upon this 20/20 SpaceTime
in humane win/win playtime
of bicameral maturation,
nutrition,
communication,
win/win administration

Is better than
win/lose health and safety values
for masturbation

Is better than
total lose/lose patriarchal castration.

We may have found a
Once Upon Our EarthTime
in human eco/ego-political
Right/Left
Yin/Yang maturation
when our history of depression
becomes unveiled mutual suppression/repression
of healthy ecological
and safer theological impressions.

Premium Member A FEW SENTENCES WOULD SUFFICE

I admit…I haven’t read many of the religious writings out there
but I’ve read a few…and I imagine all their authors were hoping to make a case
by transcribing words and teachings to help make this world a better place.

However…When I look out on our world and see all the damage done
in the name of what is written in religious texts…
When I see pain, suffering, hatred, wars and killing
in the name of a religion…I am bewildered and perplexed.

It seems to me…many of their original teachings…doctrines
and canons by ‘believers’ have been amended…
allowing them to do cruel and heinous things
in ways the authors never intended.

When one looks at the many pages of religious writings out there…
I imagine their creators…should have been a little more precise….
knowing if they had to do it over again…a few sentences would suffice:

Empathy and love is the basis of all religions
It is what can truly make us great….
When we love our neighbor as we love ourselves
there is no room for hate.

I suppose they could have added:
Live a life of love, compassion and kindness…treat everyone the same
so when you’re gone…people will smile whenever they say your name

As I say…I haven’t read many religious writings….
but I imagine what would bring a smile to any of their creator’s face
is knowing everyone who truly heeds their words…
no matter what language they are written in…
will leave this world a better place.

my heart has been broken and my soul cracked many times
I have been knocked down
life has stabbed me with with daggers that still bleed
I have fallen to pieces

life can be very cruel
and words and jabs can leave one fragmented and unsure
childhood was not a very happy journey
there was too much grief and death

my wounds are hidden
for I wear a mask of happiness each day
if people hurt me I become dark silent
where I fold my wings

but through
teachings philosophical I have studied
and found a great truth
a belief system and a code of morals

I asked God he said
put your faith in the bible
buddha says
live in now

and tao said have calm patience
so I have a new ideology path
can handle pain but think I will always be
a bit cracked

Vacation Bible School 2006

A Child’s Eyes
By
Tom Wright

Each time we peer
Into the eyes of a child there’s a choice
We can walk away or become involved.
For behind each child’s colored windows
Lay the answers to future problems unsolved.

Their innocence
Directs the eye’s communiqué.
Unwitting children needing Godly training,
A vehicle of choice is Vacation Bible School
Lessons there learned, could be life sustaining,

There is Jumping Juniper
And eye dilating Bible stories to hear.
To a young child, Bible School is one big deal.
With crafts, prizes, cookies and ice cream cones
Or wearing a cool aid mustache as they run and squeal,

Lord, let each participant
Summon from within, Patience,
Acting not malicious or being in too great haste.
But make them as sponges to soak up your teachings*
For the minds of precocious children we dare not waste.

*Train up a child in the way he should go:
And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Premium Member LEGACY FROM LEGACY

Education being knowledge

My mind opened up into wonder
My thoughts embraced yonder
Listened and absorbed
Possibilities on every turn
Theories directed
Legacies wisdom
Values to use in one’s own life
That is what I got from Dr. Shabazz’s teachings
No doubt
Pure education through and through

For me, it became pursue.

Premium Member The Tapestry of Now

From faded photos, whispers of a past I can't forget,
The stories of my grandmas, a lingering regret.
Of promises unspoken, of rights that were denied,
Of strength in silent protest, with dignity and pride.
We see the newsreel footage, the black-and-white reports,
And wonder at the courage of those who filled the courts.
This country built on freedom, with ideals so grand,
Did we truly follow God's eternal, just command?

The screens we hold now flicker with new tragedies each day,
Another headline screaming, another soul astray.
A mother’s tearful vigil, a father’s plea for grace,
A child’s future broken in a divided, fractured space.
I scroll through angry comments, through judgments sharp and cold,
A world of instant opinions, a story yet untold
Of who we are, a people, created from one source,
Losing our connection, veering off our righteous course.

My blood begins to simmer, a digital, hot rage,
At every hateful message on a post or comment page.
How can we forget the lessons, the words from Jesus' lips?
To love our closest neighbor, to heal the bitter rips.
For every soul is precious, a masterpiece of light,
Created in His image, shining ever bright.
And yet we build our borders, with fear as our main guide,
Ignoring all the teachings He gave us from inside.

But then a different image, a hopeful, small detail,
A protest sign held high, a spirit to prevail.
A person reaching outward, a hand stretched out in need,
Planting seeds of kindness, a beautiful new creed.
The future isn't written, it’s a blog post in the making,
A chance for new beginnings, a risk we must be taking.
To write a different story, to change the trending feed,
To show a Christian nation that answers every need.

So let’s use our devices for a holy, righteous fight,
To amplify the voices that champion what is right.
For in each face, I see Him, the Savior, Lord, and Friend,
Whose love can mend all broken things, right to the very end.
Let's share a message of hope, with all the world to see,
A digital revolution for peace and liberty.
For God has shown the pathway, of love that wins it all,
And in that blessed mission, we answer freedom’s call.

Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Groaning Hearer

January 18 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Exodus 2-4

Key Verse – Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GROANING HEARER

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily listening to my cries of helplessness
Thank You for opening to me Your compassion’s greatness
With Your nursing kindness
Which I desire whenever You offer to me Your forgiveness.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily responding to my burdens I cast fully
Thank You for looking to my welfare lovingly
With Your corrections You give out righteously
Which I deserve whenever You rebuke my doubts by Your promise truthfully.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily sufficing me in my discontentment
Thank You for upholding me by Your encouragement
With Your triumphant freedom and enlightenment
Which I do seek whenever You remind me of Your covenant-settlement.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily guiding through Your leadership
Thank You for warming me by Your fellowship
With Your revival for my stewardship and discipleship
Which I dare to enjoy whenever You enclose me around Your partnership.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily bracing me up along Your might
Thank You for ushering me to trust Your Word of light
With Your sanctifying peace, making my faith pleasant in Your sight
Which I delight in whenever You clothe me by Your standard so right.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily answering me by Your gracious voice
Thank You for pardoning my confessed sins along guilt’s noise
With Your teachings for me to radiate Your divine poise
Which I declare whenever You let me testify about perfect choice.

Lord God, You are my groaning Hearer…
Readily showing me Your holiness-beauty
Thank You for meeting my needs through Your caring authority
With Your wondrous fatherly sovereignty
Which I depend on whenever You visit me by Your security’s certainty.

Premium Member Be Honest Until You Cannot Be

Be honest we say in churches
in conversations with our children
at school in classes
in cub scouts and boy scout troops
A big deal with the Girl Scouts

Easy when you are young, for the
truth is all you know. You have nothing but
the truth, for it is what young children speak
until they are savagely punished for telling it.

That is when children learn to lie
So please thank their parents
for teaching them to lie.
and be aware of the parent’s level of brutality
in these early teachings.

I am not talking of spankings.
I am talking of beatings with weapons.
or of savage beatings where the wall or a table
or a chair or a lamp is the weapon.
I am specifically thinking of belts.
