Overlooked

Overlooked-by Dominique Smith

Can you cry the ocean so those in need can come over with a boat? No but I ca- Can you fix a window with the scraps of band-aid? No, But I ca- Can you burn like the paddles who can bring life back to the barren waste land?! No but I ca- Do you know the future is going to be bright because the sun will be blocking the fear of those with their eyes closed!? No but I ca- I have had enough!

Who are you? Why cant you speak!? Can take the acid and razors to the back door so only the weak will prevail!? Can you take the smoke from a factory pull it into the lungs of the ratchet!? Can you put the bullet from a misfire to the right target? Left hand up right leg to the dirt. Have the tragedy of the unknown really come forth to tell us the last site of humanity? Can you bring the head of the insightful to tears with nothing more mere gesture of your eye? Well, no but I ca- Im not done! Can you regrow the heart lost to those who have fought? They have fought for those spitting in their homes that will never get the dired poison out of the carpet of rage?

Well? Speak! Speak! Where .... where are you? A note found on the drift of the air " I cant fight, I can't cure, I cant bring life into the dead condition of those have been washed with acid, I cant pray or study enough to bring the blood to the living in the beds of the damned. I can however love, listen, encourage, remind those who are lost that life isnt a trial for people who are

Tiny Dancer

Ash falls off the mantal
Into the carpet
Like a target
White to Grey
Just like my face

Loved you like a movie
Slow beginnings
Quicker endings
But every moment
Was worth the pace

You're in my bones
You're skin deep
Feels like a welcome home
But im the black sheep

I miss dancing under string lights
Elton John, tiny dancer in the night
You left me hanging like those lights
Surrendered all my rights
Just for a conversation or two
Ruined myself all over again
Just to aid and abbet you

Flashbacks of you
Feel like snow
in the middle of june
Out of place
But gone too soon

My love was a promise
I swore to keep
It was eternities long
And Oceans deep
Had to throw it all to sea
Just to forget me

Premium Member Rubik's Cube As Spherical

Cognizant that the Rubik’s cube is not spherical
My child still plays it as a ball in his dexterity’s portrayal…
He’s labeled as special with society’s approval
Surmounting afflicting disability, never in denial.

With his Rubik’s cube he tosses and rolls with delight
His mirth prevails midst spastic blight…
Oh, he shows his thumbs-up of achievement height
When the toy reaches his target goal’s flight.

Midst his handling, the Rubik’s cube becomes as round
Therapeutic as he feels love that does abound…
While inside warm caring, he twists and turns around
To dream along God-blest sleep of wellness-sound.

*Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

She's Spooky Fun

she has that lovely dark face
she has those lovely long legs
she has that charming nice smile
she's that sweet lovely lady

She's reading spooks stories
She's into them spooky tales
She's engrossed in the weirdo
She's got me real spooked

She's giving me that warm smile
She's trying and deliberately stalling
She's really enthralling in charm n moves
She's got them smooth hunters moves

She has already guessed mine motives
She already knows what moves i will play
She's gonna feel it when i make the move
she's that marks-woman and am the target

She's engrossed in her spook stories as i make my move
She flinches not as yours steals them forbidden pleasures
She so delightfully looks ahead with a longing for that promise
She's got me hooked good reeled in and i am her today's fair game

Ready-Set-21

Let’s get rid of all the people
starting with the old
no one will suspect
we could be so bold.

We’ll track their every movement
wouldn’t that be neat
then we’ll go and target
the one’s still eating meat.

Convince them they’re all different
inclusion was a bust
and other than the demi-gods
there’s no one you can trust.

By the time they catch on
claim they’re purely woke
they’ll be but the punchline
to this planetary joke.

So, wear your masks, walk your dogs
pick up after them
knowing all would be just fine
if it hadn’t been for H I M

If People Must Die Like This

If people must die like this
If you ask me
I only can ask God why
Why we have to go this way
Why evil must kill up the
Living so much
If you ask me I only can
Talk to God
Cos talking to men
Sim impossible today
No wonder we still living
In an ignorant world

If people must die like this
Then why are we made
To live
Why then are we born
Why then do we grow
If we are ment to die
For nothing
Why then must we live

If people must die like this
Who is then to live
Is it those whose aim
Target destruction
Is it those who are
In communion in evil
Is it those who destroy
Humanity
Who are we leaving
The world for
Will it be left in the hands
Of blood suckers

If people must die like this
Then the world needs
A change
And the chance is in our
Hands
We all got powers
And together with it
A world to truly live
In peace and truth
Can be born from
The womb of love

Premium Member Oh say can you see

Oh say can you see blood soaked
Baltimore reeking of falsified documents
blood soaked levies oh say can you see
corruption over board Atta Mohammed
and Bin Laden brought to trial on this land
oh say can you see veterans crying while
domestic abusers dine in Caribbean pajamas
oh say can you see our beautiful flag torn
tatters lifted rasing all doubt as truth balance
gravity a surety of peace no organized crime
could ever devour with falsified documents
orchestrated to assist abusers and target
the victims of domestic violence oh say can
you see Francis Scott Key galloping over the
bridge chanting the red coats are coat they
came dear and falsified documents data breach
to harm disabled veterans and their families
waarheid thee uncharted endeavor of fraud and
waste have mercy on us and on the whole world.

And our Flag was still There .

Premium Member Getting Chummy

“Doo-doo, doo-doo,” we hear the beast coming.
Music gets under our skin. The worst of attacks,
narrated by the boat’s captain. Unsettling sink
of the USS Indianapolis. Just below the hull,
a giant life wanting to strike a blow. This boat
a smaller target. Getting chummy, stomachs
lurching. Baited by grimmer details. A solid blow
to the vessel. All hands on deck - only three.
“Doo-doo, doo-doo,” and oftentimes whimsical.
Who will survive? Aye! Aye! Not the captain!
The shark will save the other half for dinner.
You, who know, know what happens. Those
who don’t, be warned; watch, get an education!

Premium Member HE DIDN'T HAVE A dIMe--

He was there standing at the corner on a medium. He held a sign up, he was dressed
ragged, as his sign said, I'm hungry.
Give anything, anything appreciated.
He didn't have a dime yet and his reflection.
The Sun shone on him.His shoes were clean, not dirty. They looked new
Yet he didn't have a dime, a shopping cart beside him, turned upside down from Target, he embellished his eyes glared, and stared as I approached him, I stopped at the stoplight, I rolled the window down, he said. God bless you, sir.His shoes better than mine. His shoes
AND YET HE DIDN'T HAVE A DIME
His mouth formed sounds of pleas urpolled out from his lips.\nThe shopping cart he had upside down.He used as a seat
Those sincere and not deemed vulgar.\nI had no cash , no change on me
I too smile in reply, God's grace and blessings to you sir
I too do not have a dime?

Premium Member Direct Aim

The silk clock melts on the horizon’s crest,
As shadows aim their arrows at the sun,
A marble eye surveys the tangled sequence,
Before the silver journey has begun.

The target is a mirror made of breath,
It shatters into singing hummingbirds,
To dance across the emerald fields of light,
Without a single, cold, acoustic word.

A telescope looks backward through the void,
Where vision aims to catch the quiet fire,
The geometry of space is now transformed,
To fulfill the spirit’s waking, slow desire.

Now rests the focus in the palm of sand,
A feather weight upon a heavy tide,
It waits to bloom upon the seeker’s point,
Where aim and destination coincide.
