Dem rashnul boys shure fixate on dat suthern *ss,
seem not to care 'bout big or small or lad or lass.
De reason fo dis fasinashun seems unclear;
dat’s not da way strait thinkin folk do talk 'round here.
We’d likely vite ya over to our dubble-wide,
but we got backhoes when we need a body hide.
We hates to see ya talkin bad about de Lawd,
we hope ya meet before ya coved up wid sod.
So mebbe lay off all dem jokes 'bout kissing kin,
and we won’t all be sayin, 'bless yo heart' agin.

Don’t laugh at daydreams!
That childish doodle
Scribbled on the math paper,
That drawing on the essay.
Those eyes that look out
The window and see beyond the
Teacher’s understanding
Might foretell the future!

Dreams are seeds that grow
And twine into a bridge that
Ideas cross, to become the hope
Of realities yet to come.
Who imagined man could fly?
Who guessed a magnitude
Of horsepower could be contained
Beneath a metal hood?

The great designer starts
With the rough and childish
Sketches of that daydreamer
Who sees a vision past today.
The child obsessed with nature’s lore
Becomes the famous botanist
Who finds a cure, in nature’s
Hidden secrets, for human ills.

Beware the feverish world
That fears dreams, afraid of change,
That blindly reaches out
To stifle those who break the mold!
Hold in your palm your seeds.
Plant them in the fertile soil of thought.
Water them, feed them.
Let them grow unfettered.

For this is our tomorrow.
Without dreams, ideas, hope,
There cannot be a future!
Shrug off the disbelievers!
Smile back at those who laugh,
Prisoners in their strait-jacket minds.
Spin your dreams far out, and weave a
Gossamer and steely bridge to destiny!

The Narrow Strait

I encountered the cursed female along the way.
Six heads had she; six heads to devour my men.
My crew and I held tight to the cliffs to survive that day.
Six of my men were devoured on that voyage back then.

We landed on an island, the island of the Sun.
I didn't want to go there, but my crew sought rest.
The fools in my crew slaughtered a calf- the most sacred one.
Zeus then cursed my luck, cutting it in half at best.

I alone survived; my crew perished under Zeus's wrath.
A storm sent me backwards to face Charybdis's might.
Sheltering in a tree, I evaded her warpath.
On the wreckage of my ship I floated, barely surviving the fight.

This my account of that narrow strait.
This is but one tale of the things I must tell.
Thankful am I, for not having met my fate.
My name is Odysseus; remember it well.

Blank and Block Continue

Block stays solid in the afternoon
As all good cubes should do
Past, present and the future contemplated
They remain the same and never change

Blank stares strait ahead in one direction
Contributes very little to society
Casting no reflection on the ocean
Simply sits and waits for it to stop

Seashore swells with anticipation
Day and waves break there together
In the morning Blank continues
Nothing there on the nothing new

Even with bright sun light looking on
It too shows indifference to the dawn
There, expressionless, becoming dim
Blank waits for it to set

Circles come to life to populate the world
There is no question this is strange behavior
Blank and Block pause to reflect
Refuse to give an inch to reason

Blank and Block continue, rarely think about extinction
That is not what they are paid to do
Circles have every right to occupy their space
Even if Blank and Block become replaced

To say I have less lived...
and more written is not being entirely
fair. Poets breathe soul life into every
lyric statement.

Not merely metaphorically
speaking. Word-painted-skies, on closer
analysis are precisely inked examples of intensely
hyperbolic, ethereal-like possessed oxidation! (Try
to say that 10x’s fast!)

A writer’s penned pictures meant to float above
common trite integers of merely surface showy delight --

All my canvases their nature by
design are birthed to be never-settling (deathless)

evolving metaphysical transcending primers (talk about elevated ego!) --

While sub-strait substances are
compounded impenetrable dark also evident are
silvery streaks of transversal light --

My feeling contributions remain
and have always been creative world enough for me…

Though often contrary and border-less defined
for that same reason have kept me duty free from man
only subject to God! --

Therefore, when I die,
please hang my works on some moving wall --

No matter, museum or brothel:

A novel idea, perhaps throw them to the foot
of a purging water fall:

To be rushingly transported off to more saturating sea,

My suggestion not a mere medium of briny salt for addicted fishes

Emulsion

There is something in the sea that is raging war against thee. The explorers of times knew what was divine; they explore the four corners of the earth to dig up all the dirt, they knew about the existence of life and they made decades of human sacrifice, exploring the unknown at sea, fighting with big waves, that sometimes rise up from the ocean floor and covers their ships, forcing them to take a sudden dip. Sometimes they lost the entire fleet to rough weather and rough waters, and if they get lucky, they beat the pirates at their games, and their lives was never the same.

Christopher Columbus in his time understood the geography of the world, he discovered the island for Europe and discovered much of the West Indies but did not make it to the East indies
it was for Vasco da Gama to explore and the Europeans to ignore. India had spices and the British knew how to roll the dice. India had tea but Columbus died before he could exchange, European coffee.

There is so much in this world except for men, women, boys and girls. The world could not remain as it is so the Dutch, the Spaniards, the Portuguese, the English made a fortune from it and create much fuss over it. They are the old rogues of the sea, and they have the right remedy for thee. They were good seamen of the past; they knew the length and breadth of the sea and the music it plays for thee.

The weather has changed and exploration is not the same; there is an emulsion in the sea, so don’t let it covers thee. Read the lines clearly and examine the color of the waters, when the texture changes search the submarine below and it will lead you to the next row.

I open the space in the ground, to see what was coming into the town; there were two pipes along the strait, one that leads to another gate. Examine the emulsion in the sea and correct the PH chart for me; there is a two-phase system that is colliding with thee.
Check the emulsion in the sea.

Premium Member Ship's Suicide

In the shadow of the Second World War,
Fuehrer wanted to augment maritime power
and control the waters of the northern oceans.
In the North Sea he proudly set sail Bismarck,
the largest German battleship ever built.

On maiden voyage off the coast of Scandinavia
she got fiercely engaged with the Royal Navy,
heavily damaged, survived the first battle
in the fateful strait of Denmark,
but was totally crippled by later air attack.

She was scuttled by the German navy,
bringing her brief life to an unceremonious end,
as she committed suicide so to say, and sank
to save herself from further ignominy.

Shore Leave

shore leave

The ship, in the bay, had a load of grain from the fertile soil
of Ukraine, loaded in Odesa, and sent on its way across the Black Sea.
In the Dardanelles, a stop for inspections to see if the ship had
gods other than grain, not on the manifest.
She voyaged the Mediterranean to the Strait of Gibraltar, turned
sharply, starboard, up the coast of Portugal and anchored in Cascais.
Some of the crew was going ashore, shopping and drinking a few beers
as they waited for the launch on the larboard of the ship.
The ship was due to be unloaded in Lisbon on Monday, where other
crew members could go ashore and see the sight of the great city.
The lot, god’s will, for a seaman to be eternally outsider, passing
through, but only at home on the high seas.
