World Comes Alive Spring Is In The Air

Pleasure in the Spring it springs in the air.
Whiff scent of nature's breath upon my cheeks
while buds unfurl into artistry flare.
Grace upon agents to pass golden streaks.

Oh, give us a taste of pleasure flowers;
you bloom pretty on fruit trees to bear fruit,
when the spent sun throws up its ray showers
some laborer of life from hidden root.

A spring garden spears scarlet red tulips.
Which plants short or small leaf and which is bloom?
Angel's trumpet as you hang off eave lips.
Oh, give colour bouquet of sweet perfume.

The world comes alive, Spring is in the air.
A new dress it wears. In awe life does stare.

‘Get the motor running head out on the highway looking for adventure’

Well it is only the council road with potholes but Oliver races his pushbike

Walkman headphones sound ‘Born to be wild’ or Attention Deficit Disorder

But there is no doubt in the bikers’ mind that winter is recycling fast time

Orange banana saddle ape hanger handle bars and Che Guevara bandana

Another day for many revolutions as the wheels keep turning in tandem

He abhors bicycle clips as Oliver needs torn jeans to be one of the gang

No leather jacket so the hand me down brown corduroy one takes its place

Pedals turning downhill at full speed hard breaks and sharp swerve to the left

Another 360 degree circle wonderful skid marks adorn his pride and the road

It was easy today because morning dew and pink purple petals greased the path

For once the corroded chain has not come off after that creaking gear change

Countenance smirks on his face because has done it again and he feels so much

More achievement than if he was doing his homework left pathetically languorous

At home where his goody two shoes brother calculates tangents and radius

Oliver is an action boy full of mettle and metal and his scent is lubricant oil

‘Take the world in a love embrace and explode into space’ and dear emotions

Run high almost octane fuelled while his well-behaved sisters play octaves

From Amadeus on Bechstein or Steinway pined to bored ebony and ivory keys

Oliver hammers down wildly as the way forward beckons driven by freedom

He is oblivious to fragrances blossoms and bloom and the sweet scent of nature

Could not care less about chirping birds and the warm temperature resides only

In his teenage blood and guts as he rides through a pile of litter in which rusty

Debris mingles with pneumatic tyres and a very loose spring punctures the air

Magical Forest

In magical forest spring is in the air
After long winter sun has finally answered inhabitants’ prayer
Bear came out of his lair
Wolf as always is chasing a hare

Soon in the old orchid behind the forest will grow apples and pear
With his children story of magical forest farmer will share
He tells them that of time when into deep eyes of forest phantom he would stare
He tells them how the phantom to merry the spring would declare

Love for mysterious phantom the spring would share
But she knew for the forest inhabitants it would be unhappy affair
For this union sun would impair
And during spring no flowers orchid trees would bear

Spring was a lady with long flowing hair
Deep eyes beautiful soul piercing and rare
She was lovely and fair
And to imprison her spirit phantom would not dare

With sun as a father spring three children would bare
Daughter rain brothers growth and wind were in her care
Rain and growth where good well positioned pair
But wind with his wondering nature could not settle anywhere

His parents would despair
Something that phantom would become aware
Maybe winds place is to travel phantom would declare
Spreading seeds and good will everywhere

But what is the place of winds’ soul said spring it can’t be just anywhere
Rain and growth have their spirits with us but wind is everywhere and no where
He never stays long in one place he is motion of air
I have an idea said the phantom which I wish to share

Wind could be your concessionaire
Winds soul can be high end abstract dimension rather than doctrinaire
He can be metaphor, riddle, and fundamental question, philosophy to compare
Beyond expanse and vice perfect in his own lair

That is what would keep magical forest magic phantom would declare
And at the top of that magic would be wind’s questionnaire
Like ballad whispered by bird in midair
Like wonderful story old farmer with his children would share

The Coming of the Spring Queen

When winter became a Spring day.....
The Spring Queen came ,with out delay
She approached through the Whispering Trees
Everything she touched, turned to green
Fresh shoots,budding leaves.....
Flowers to be seen

The Eastern Wind,
bringer of life and green
Followed the Spring Queen
The awakening...........
The greening..........

The Castle gates opened wide
The Spring Queen walked inside..............
The walled garden grown
Welcomed into Castle Heartstone

Her fingers touched the wall........
Instantly the flowers grew..........
In places not before seen
Such is the power of the Spring Queen

The air filled with the sound of birds............
Birdsong, too beautiful for words
For, there was life everywhere
The Spring days,so fair

The mood of the Castle lifted
The life,the colour
The Spring Queen, gifted

The bare trees filled out,
the welcoming shade
The walled garden transformed............
Colour spilling everywhere............
Spring is in the air

Such joy and happiness..........
Bursting through
The Whispering Trees
The East Wind breeze
The meadow flowers, so blue

Fresh flowers filled the Castle...........
Most of all in the Great Hall.........
Where the Heartstone lay,
on the north wall

The hum of bees,
buzzing on the breeze
Spring honey,so sweet...........
A real treat!

The Spring Queen.........
Giving birth...........
To a new and beautiful earth
The land lay green.....
The flowers, to be seen

These flowers,sublime
The emerging springtime............
All too soon the days grew hot.........
The days grew long.........
The days had new meaning............
Soon it would be Summer Queens' time
the intense greening

Premium Member Mr Spring

Hello. My name is Spring and I make an appearance every year.
People have often made comments of me like, 'Spring is in the air'.
For Daylight Saving Time, many will say 'Fall back and Spring forward'.
Well, they can say that, but sometimes I am early and other times late.

Sometimes, Old Man Winter hangs around too long, taking up my 'air space'.
And sometimes, I can't wait to 'Spring forward', attempting to push him aside.
That's right my friend, there is more going on up there than meets the eye.
And when cold clashes with heat, especially in my season, there's always
trouble in the sky. And usually, when there's trouble in the sky, it's not long before there's trouble on the ground. I might show up before I am officially
due or I may come after I'm due. It's another way of saying that I might be in the air but not on the ground in your neck of the woods. I may be in the air, but you do not see, hear, or even feel me. You take this winter of 2019 for example. I don't rightly know what's going on out here, and I don't know how long Mr. Winter is going to last, but things are definitely much different.

Anyway, I want to say that each of us seasons has to show up and do our job, and I'm hoping that, as you might be also, Mr. Winter does not overstay or infringe upon my responsibilities. I have to show up on time to restore life, create beauty, and get things growing again. I can't do that if Mr. Winter wears out his welcome, and it is absolutely unthinkable to try pushing him around because he's much stronger than I. So whereas I might be in the air, I might also be there cold and covered in snow, just waiting my turn.

A faint perfume of lilac blooms has stirred the sleeping dawn
Bright sunlight weaves a golden loom with threads across the lawn
Crisp white-lipped Delphiniums tossed snowflakes to the hills, while
Daffodils and pink jonquils shake off the morning chill

Each violet of morning has left no stone deferred
Found growing near, a sprout appears from every seed interred!
Greeting me like candle flames, are poppies, gold and red
Hawthorne weaves a golden crown around the arbor's head!

I look long past the windowpane, and spring has bloomed anew,
just in time to see the sky revealed in shades of blue
knitting primroses in surprise! A sight long overdue!
Lost between the flagstones, alyssum, wild and free, has
mushroomed into puffs of white, competing with sweet peas!
New sprouts of cosmos spring alive in flowerbeds we've teased

On winter's lace a pansy face is smiling up at last!
Petunias in their pastel coats, are dressed like royalty
Queen of all in velvet robes, the iris crowns the grass!
Resplendent are the foxgloves…..and the dragons are a Snap!

Sweet Williams are such gentlemen, they make the morning grand
Tiger lilies brave the wind, stalking in the breeze
Under every shady tree, violas are reprieved, while
verdant shades of primrose lace wear green upon their sleeves
Wisteria's hysteria spreads levity with ease!

Xanadu is Statice "quo"……now, what more could it do?
Yarrow blooms tomorrow. I'll have to dry a few
Zinnias mean that spring has sprung, to share fresh air with you!

Click a tee, click a tee, click a tee click,
Flick a dee, fick a dee, fick a dee, flick,
I do all of this to attract you my dear,
To lose you is my only fear,
I’ll sing you my song, tra la la, tra la la,
But I have many ways to impress you.
Spring is in the air, and I’m at my best,
Look at my red ruffled feathers on my chest,
My irresistible colorful plumage you won’t resist,
I want to show off to you, please watch me I insist.
I do not mind that you look quite dowdy
That is why we males are the dancing rowdy
Watch me swing from a tree my love
Notice my dangling dazzling feathers from high above
As I tumble down through the sky towards you,
Do you want to watch me whilst I run over water,
Doobey doobey doobey da, do doobey da do.
I have prepared many a nest for you, please
Choose one be my mate, don’t tease,
This one I’ve swept the garden clean with a twig,
Have decorated it with pebbles and flowers,
I’ve spent many hours
And I’ve built the nest with an exquisite view
While you lie with our chicks watching the blue
Sky, now I will dance for you
You can dance with me if you want,
As we bond, follow my fancy footwork when we slide
And definitely glide
Along a branch, and maybe by now you might.
Think I’m right
There, you have shown me I’m the one,
Agile, handsome, colorful and trim
And you are so pretty and slim,
Come, let’s enter our love nest,
With an avid zest.
Chirp a do, chirp a do, chirp a do, do!

Spring Is In the Air

Air smelling lavender lily, in splash of wild flowers.
Bowers of rustic rosebuds, first love fragrance hours.
Cloudless skies exalt blue, fuzzed in luscious green.
Daffodils of yellow beams, bloom with night jasmine.
Ephemeral path of blue birds, sync butterflies scarlet,
Fancy rejoice of dalliance, in pink and purple banquet.
Gardens cloister colored valleys , petals in avalanche
Hyacinth perfumed sunshine, glossy blossoms branch.
In transit, cold greets summer, change of fresh attire,
Juvenile mind that's young, feels like flying higher.
Kisses stolen in gentle flirts, flowing streams of nectar,
Love sings joy and dance, in promise of new laughter.
Magical burst of smiling buds, re-sprout hidden hope,
Notes of mirth in dulcet , birds weave nest to cope.
Orange foliage sets fire, as decors of art unveil.
Primrose bedecked palanquins , sway in royal gale,
Queen of nature rides in beauty, crocuses in thicket.
Resurrected winter mist,..in green life, all succulent.
Sonnets, ballads, songs, gallery of dream for ages
Timeless glory of beauty in painter and poet pages
Up from a pastel sky, nymphs walk down filigree paths
Valentine day's just gone, the season of love to last
Wild cherry blossoms of silk, greet in a pink hello
Xylophone notes chant in a stream of music flow.
Young lovers gyrate... in a romantic love affair
Zephyr wind throws a hug,...Spring is in the air.
