A Call to Worship

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:24

“A Call to Worship”
As long as I have a voice, I will sing of my Godly choice. I will worship you!
As long as my hands can raise, I will give God all the praise! I will worship you!
When I wake up to start a new day, I will speak directly to God when I pray
I will worship you!
When the evening sun’s going down, I’m thankful my Lord still around!
I will worship you!
When the toils of life makes me frown, the Holy Spirit still can be found!
I will worship you
When the valleys seem more than we can bear, we know God answers prayer!
I will worship you
When I cross over to Heaven shore, and my life on Earth is no more!
I will worship you!
When I kneel at your golden throne, and my soul will finally feel at home!
I will worship you!

I live in a small pueblo where every day or so

my neighbours sweep the pavement to keep

their side of the road clean and pick up the litter

And I like Beppo the Street Sweeper in Momo

by Michael Ende who always has the time

to speak a kind word to his legendary mates

Never liked to litter with trash rubbish or garbage

but I have cast words and actions upon my fellows

sometimes in anger and others in vulnerable pain

and they need not forget forgive or reward me

for my apologies must not sanction me with a medal

‘Purple Heart’ for my own suffering through the offence

which became a junk yard for wrong actions and speech

Life is short and wasteful memories can be long

but a short ‘I am sorry’ does not do any harm

as long as its honest and not for scoring immaculate

points on a spread sheet of blemishes and deceit

From my door step I voice ‘Hola’ and ‘Que pasa?’

to the little old ladies with the curlers and brooms

Dettol in hand and staggering steps in their stride

and wish to put my failings into the recycling bin

sanitize with truthful acceptance of my part in a toxic

environment that needs a tidy up before it sticks

like dog poo on a foul conscience and reeks havoc

‘Disculpe’ and ‘Lo siento’ as a tiny ‘mea culpa’

is simply an offer of truce not a white shiny flag

of capitulation or forced armistice under duress

but Peace and social encounters are tough enough

even without grievances and self-righteous pride

I can’t turn into perfume and on some occasions

an ‘I beg your pardon’ was not granted the request

my appeal for friendship was rebuffed and thrown

straight back into my face with fierce vengeance

but more often than not a land fill site of regret was

granted a home for a sincere olive branch in the shelter

of simply doing the right thing as the best one can do

Ice Age Cometh Moot Point 2nd Glacier

Impossible mission to uncouple accountability,
(no matter minuscule - veritable drop within
figurative bucket when quantity contrasted/
compared alongside industrial waste courtesy
major corporations), yet helplessness prevails
survival (mine) inextricably bound trappings
twenty first century allow, enable, and provide

exploiting even dollop so called nonrenewable
resources, I could sacrifice corporeal entity -
body, mind and spirit within eyeblink exhales
last breath before becoming repurposed - inert
cremated ashes randomly scattered across all
points encompassing terrestrial world wide web.

Obituary -
Despite havoc primate species did wreak
from the afterlife I figuratively speak
and applaud millennials whose peak
performance accorded courtesy
your token "aged hippie,"

mild mannered and meek
and long haired pencil necked geek,
whose disembodied spirit
now volunteers as Halloween sideshow freak
incorporating gallows humor tongue in cheek.

Into the blue, another new dimension;
into the blue- our destiny is Mars.
A strong reality, long-term ascension-
into the blue among the planets, stars.

Those former sci-fi program memories
   will soon become a realistic fact;
our NASA teams now speak of guarantees
that man of Earth on Mars is not abstract.

Into the blue they'll go; six months asleep,
   suspended animation all the way,
in modules filled with six and wired to keep
all fed and breathing on their space beltway.

A new frontier for earthlings to soon tool-
to Mars, perhaps a planet in that space
where not too hot- too cold will meet the rule
that Mars is in our Goldilocks Zone place.

=======================================
Note:The term "The Goldilocks Zone" is used to describe the
"habitable zone around a star when the temperature is
not too hot or too cold." Dr. Charley Lineweaver, Stuart Gary

After the Earth, Mars is the most habitable planet in our
solar system due to several reasons: Its soil contains water
to extract. It isn't too cold or too hot. There is enough
sunlight to use solar panels.

????Soul Energized We're
     Energized ?? Drops of Reign

Each drop of rain says His name
Each drop of rain praises Him, reigns
Every pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter
Fillings of each creek, streams, valleys and craters

Ever so Every Soul pores, pours
Shedding spores moisture
Droplets of Heavens spots of dew drops

Every window that gails breeze that sails
Is a breath of life
Every small burst of breeze is Our Father's breath

His ?? lips speak life ??
His words bring forth life
Everything He spoke forth, speaks of
Becomes just does!

(Becomes)

Every light that does shine
He begins it in Him
Soul energized energy multiplied
Confidently He's so provides

We're the image of Him; Elohim
And in Him (were) we're...being

Soul Energized we are drops of Reign

I walk on blue and smell of white
Dressed by the setting sun
I run into orange melting
into marigolds a blooming interlude
I float on speeds depending on my mood
Purple and pink is a melody I sing
Orchids in skies will make you think
I speak of colours and whisper
The flavour of the day
Candyfloss or bubblegum, I do have a say
I dance in the dark around a silver ball
She calls out to me timid and small
I cover her face with a veil
As she practices before a curtain call
I turn grey when I’m sad but it not too bad
It makes me just lighter as I open up
and wash away your sorrows
As I cool the earth down and fill her tomorrow’s!

A Right To Life

A right to life.

I have the right to write.
I may not be right in what I write,
But I still have the right to write.

Freedom of speech is poetry. Do you see?
Because what they teach is, learn to read to feel free.
They plant the seed of doubt in you and me
And I just say what I see.

My thoughts are right to me and wrong to you;
I write what I feel and I’ll probably be sued.
This feud must end; my words are only words.
I only speak what I’ve already heard.

Mixed up I am, but my poetry is real,
This is how I really feel.
So how do you feel about what I write?
Is this writer right?

I’ve nothing to say, but lots I must write,
For I fear I could die without affecting your life.
I fear I could meet you in the afterlife
And have nothing to say, except did you enjoy the ride?

Centuries of Seeking

Centuries of seeking yet never to find,
The one true soul that was like mine.
So many souls I have touched along my way,
Yet never one to take my hand or make me want to stay.
And so I walked through this journey with a smile and loving heart.
Still seeking that one true love to capture my heart.
Never feeling it was meant for me,
Never admitting the depth of loneliness in me.
You entered my path and somehow I knew My searching was over for I found the heart that is true.
Never speaking those romantic words \,
But touching my spirit and soul where feelings speak volumes not just words.
My journey now is over as a single soul,
Now we follow the path together for we make each other whole.
Bonded in spirit, in soul and heart,
We now look to a new future, a new life and a new start.

Words have a way
To etch fond say
In fun and play

Words in a surge
Can feed an urge
In thoughts that merge

Words paint and show
A certain glow
Of light that flows

Words touch and heal
Or else conceal
Meaning that spills

Words in good time
Can slot new rhymes
In truth that chimes

Words on a page
Can line and stage
Time beyond age

Words can cause hurt
In splash of dirt
In unkind flirt

Words in a string
Can hurl and fling
Troubles that spring

Words spread a balm
As soul knows calm
In voiceless psalm

Words work to fill
The air with thrills
In timely spills

Words cannot flow
Where stillness grows
A silent show

Words are but thoughts
That speak a lot
In ceaseless plots

Words take a break
When thoughts forsake
Mind games most fake

Words feed the prime
Of curls that rhyme
In lines that chime

Words become still
In drowning fill
Of weary will

The Gift

Now as I can recall
your smile.. your laughter
and all that is of you
A gift to pass on..
Kind words
dripped from your heart
Love
seen in your misty eyes
and I knew
how much you adored
daddy's girls
huge parts of you..
and I knew
no gift
could be found
that really would speak for you..
Now as I can recall
no dolls.. no princess dresses
for me.. from you..
I didn’t notice, then
how a void could disturb
and break a bond
if not the love you gave
your love
that bridged all the gaps
opened gates of bliss
mended all the cracks
and deafened ugly sounds..
A gift to pass on..
So rare! So priceless!
wouldn’t be misted by dust
would be able to deal with time
but never adjust..
A gift to pass on..
not a mere memory
or just a piece
of a poet's glossary
It is the peace and beauty
You once infused into me
A most precious gift
You offered me!
