Mind paints canvas of life as amateur
Some hues taken from palette of events
Some contributed by human nature
oozing from emotive urge at moments.
Heart gallery frames happy happenings
Those turn weepy are mercilessly torn
Ugly chapters showing spastic paintings
Some to erase and some get forgotten.
Brush browses on multiple episodes,
Patches of pigments collide in collage
kaleidoscope of memory decodes
Some pictures go hazy, some to enlarge.
Throughout life did ‘Mind’ the painter paint well?
Canvas of life with overlapped hues can't tell.
Diamond in the rough
Skyline, makes me hot like a fevered owl,
As light languishes in my murky puddle
Like a furious flea made of phosphorous
And indecision. My indecision.
Like sad gray lenses over my pupils; my heart's pulse,
From which sacred energy rains down on us
Like the quarreling feathers from above.
And all through, too...
The birds, we birds, flutter and fret our way...
Keep busy, make busy, we'll all have a laugh one day.
One day, we'll all know the joke at the exact same time
And our spastic wings will fold as we stand adjacent to our greater spirit.
Our diamonds out of the rough,
Us, climbing out of sand.
Exploring the celestial
there is my child, acknowledged as special
reckoning the stars with eloquence
freely propelled, bereft of spastic persistence
maneuvering his wheel chair-turned spaceship
defying gravity of disability along miraculous workmanship
verily mirth-filled
exuberantly thrilled!!!
Now, unbound from angst of bumps’ torture
anticipated by mother's heart upon mind's posture
h e r e am I wondrously ecstatic
basking under pleasure of dreamy merriment, so therapeutic
delighted at this worthwhile surreal moment
indeed transcending magical engagement---
to wake up verily thankful to the God of miracles
Who specializes in impossibilities*!!!
*Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Born in April, two thousand and nine
he was spastic along his weak spine---
yet, we parents call him, "son of mine."
Midst life's challenges when he turned nine
God blest him for triumph*'s milestone-shine
cheering through thumbs-up gestures, "I'm fine."
Now, able to count from one to nine
he zooms via wheel chair with no whine
sharing by sign language, "let us dine."
*Psalm 92:4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

"That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed." Romans 15:32 of the King James Bible
My journey with our special child is sublime halcyon indeed
testifying the vibrant essence of love-propped deed
that can be nurtured along caring breed
beyond reverberating dogmatic creed.
Special… midst quirks of sheer mirth
joyous son is God’s blessing
greeting family members with glad smile
marked by good morning of sign language bliss
radiating cheers that champion hope.
Special child spells victory
gesturing double thumbs up
interspersed with his spastic praying hands
as he seeks for God’s favor and guidance
toward triumphant day worth thanking for.
Beholding his milestones, defying disability's blight
I rejoice to witness him surmounting with grace-filled might
congenital defect that serves as lingering blight
because compassion upholds him to experience goodness-delight.
His special needs require care
as well as patience and grace
meeting demands challenging parents’ role
to stay sober, serenely strong with poise
vanquishing panic against frantic sigh.
Special kindness always reigns
since home begets charity
where safety fortress abides smiting fear
propelling members toward faith ventures
especially to do meaningful roles.
Surely, our special child exudes good heart
grateful for support along security's rampart
protecting him against evil dart
as love prevails with impact that does not depart.

Peace triumphs over my heart
as I behold my dear special child does his best part
against spastic attacks' blight
learning through sign language delight
manifesting blissful countenance with smile
brightened with advancement style
radiant with hope's glow
midst vibrant milestones' show
along God's power and grace*
progressing despite debility-case.
Indeed, this pattern I see in him pleasantly
with the Lord's compassion at work miraculously
while divine mercy soothes his woes gently
and together we pray, thanking Christ joyously.
*2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Just a little ditty
about two sown pretty ...
Each eager for a fabric
woven with love classic
had ridden textile wagons
thru much spastic traffic.
Seeking their prime patent
of material fantastic, they
both fell flattened in cloth
scenes dramatic; wrinkle-doom,
static dragons had torched
all their wagons.
Then, a textile server sewed
them together with threaded
fervor. Now two, his burlap
made battens are by her satin
fastened to strap their love
gladdened in passion’s best
lacy tatting. Their burlap and
satin when curled up in nothin’
is the best seamed somethin’
in the fabric magic patent.

Just shut up and get a life,
I'm not like you, I've a reason to live ya,
if you weren't a berk you'd have a wife,
but with berks no one gives a....
change your tactic you're a spastic
loopy mate you're geriatric,
I'll give you something a little trick,
shut your mouth, on people don't pick,
yesterday you said I burn fast,
today it looks like you that learns fast,
cus on the whole you're a dictator son,
a sell out to an alcohol addiction,
because this is soup I added the tator
am I your match? I just put you out,
who's the supernova now, laters hater,
I'm off to live, don't come back about
They snuggled, wrestled, patted, hugged, slept and ate together.
Growing from babies to toddlers in all kinds of weather.
We brought out this photo and our daughter stared with horror.
You are as bad as the grandma who lives next door!
This is unhealthy, despicable, awful, terribly unclean.
The cat on her lap gave me a feline stare that was mean.
When you were little, it was the only way you would eat.
We thought it was hilariously funny, and kind of sweet.
MOM! She said, I am a doctor; this is unclean and bad.
She truly is the prissiest child that we ever had.
Her daughter got on the floor and shared a dish with our dog.
I made a flying leap toward her, looking like a spastic erratic frog.
What are you trying to cover up? Ms. Persnickety asked.
Let’s have a drink! Yelled my husband, taking out a wine flask.
We did not want to be limited to the time we could see her babe.
She might be a doctor, but she is not as nice as our older son Abe.
Introversion explores an isolated ego voice
While extra-relational versions
speak a more complex eco-political choice
of historic context
embedded in sensory feelings
positively healthy memories
and those more negatively traumatic,
wealth stealing
And those stuck in in-between
and/or not negatively aptic

and traumatic angers,
empowering memories of past dismembering

for lack of active healthy wealth
rather than emotional constipation.
