Perhaps it's the reason that I can't stay?
Perhaps I'll find out what that is one day?
Social interaction and conformity
Sound like pretty stupid traits to want especially to me
I can't be tied down, I can't fit in the crowd
I can't live the life that supposes a life onto me
Be who you are, be what you want to be?
Except when that veers outside the bounds of what you got to be
I'll keep one eye on the now and one eye on the move
I'll keep looking behind so I know I won't lose
Always be prepared, always be semi-scared
Knowing life is not what it should or could be
A restless mind not trying find the path of certainty
A cold soul that extracts itself from what people want it to be
Stand in the shallows and watch as they fall into the deep
Sociopathic tendencies fester deep inside the core of me
When life is good let it flow, let your mind feel free
See the blade of fate, the sharp edge of destiny
Turn the knife to ensure what you feel is so real
Trapped mind, trapped soul, escape and be free
Runaway, runaway, run far away from this thing you should be.
I'm not the average stupid mundane broad that's so stupid that I cannot see
That you get a rise and sick pleasure, when you intentionally hurt me
A sociopathic, psychotic, and paranoid-schizophrenic narcissist is all you'll be
Your soul only operates when you're syphoning life forces of the weakened prey
Every day you wear a mask 'cause you aren't willing to learn the righteous way
You're stuck in your past time-warp of dilapidated mistakes you can't cut loose
You have no knowledge of common sense or rationalization truths
You'd rather be stubborn and stay in your low-frequency comfort-zone
Instead of giving a real loyal woman after 7.5 years her own rightful home
Your words say you want me to be treated as a queen ruling an invisible castle
'Cause every time we try and work as a team - it becomes an udder disaster
You made all these promises, said all these sweet-nothings - turned lies
But still over and over you force me over and over again - thousands of tries
You're only "in love" with me on Mondays, Wednesdays, and maybe Fridays
Yet, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays you hate me - not my days
I'm your little puppet-stringed elf, and your pu$$y-slave you can up and use
Still you kept this "acting like you were madly in love with me" just a rouse
Why do I hurt people?
I don't mean to.
I love my friends.
I love my family.
I love my people.
Why do I hurt them?
I don't want to.
I'm supposed to be kind.
Caring.
Gentle.
Soft.
Helpful.
But instead I'm mean.
Selfish.
Harsh.
Arrogant.
Some might even say sociopathic.
I don't want to.
I really don't mean to.
But it happens.
I don't know how to change.
I don't wanna be like this.
But I keep doing it.
I hurt my friends.
I hurt my family.
I hurt my people.
I hurt those who just wanna love me.
But I bite the hands that feed me.
I lie.
I cheat.
I act selfish.
I act arrogant.
I have tendencies of a sociopath.
I don't wanna be like this.
I wanna be someone else.
Why do I hurt the ones I love?
Why must I be so hurtful?
Bitter Lemon Woman
In sarcastic egos, you’ve cornered the market.
A self-important peasant, a show off bourgeoisie
Without compassion, a bitter lemon woman.
A twisted tongue, a controlling snake
A liar, a betrayer and a tortured soul
A pathetic vein of vanity runs through
Your engineered persona.
You Bitter Lemon Woman
Who’s the fairest of them all, mirror?
You’re as transparent, as Perspex.
A deceiver of happiness, always seeking praise.
Showing us your power through control
A well-planned illusion of self-sacrifice.
From a Bitter Lemon Woman.
All for us, nothing for yourself? As if!
Demonstrate your power by misleading.
Arranging meetings and going alone.
Being asked, but not answering the phone.
Classic control of the inferior hangers on.
You’re a Bitter Lemon Woman.
But you misjudged me, didn’t you? I
Had the measure of you, I knew.
My Bitter Lemon Woman.
When I was out of sight, you lost control.
I found your heel and I did the deal.
A condescending smile after swallowing a bitter pill.
Humbled thanks. Loved to have seen your face,
Sociopathic Bitter Lemon Woman.
So, you can’t fool me and will never rule me.
Viva La France? Absolutely, no chance!
My Bitter Lemon Woman.
David Cox 22/03/24
Pork-chop cheeks and whiskey smiles,
Unable to hear the screams,
Or feel the clenched fist of anguish.
Just gravy boats, reporters’ notes,
And passenger windows,
A self-perpetuated pride,
A collective team of ego.
Laughing in hysterical
Deliverance of ignorance.
Playing around,
Intentionally oblivious
To disastrous decisions.
Twenty-plus years too late.
National incompetence,
The scourge of historical importance,
Shattering a nation’s livelihood.
Millions of pieces scattered
In a dense, foggy wood.
A gathering of like-minded fools,
Emerging from the greatest education
And finest halls.
Exemplary in the tradition of failure,
Perfect in self-service.
Number one,
Next to none,
Perfection in vile thoughts,
The master of demon guile.
And under every rock, you lurk,
Sociopathic and absurd,
Elevated by your will,
The autocratic style.
How does a pauper rise to noble feats?
By a system of tricks and treats?
A self-justification through heaps
Of linguistic beats.
A democracy for those who
Plunder the harvest reaps,
Not for all, or those who need,
Just those who wash your feet,
Place great measures
For promised privilege.
To thrive, turn by turn,
A circle of peerage,
Flashing the cleavage of mockery,
Just showing off a parading aristocracy.
The instrument of control,
The hammer to our freedom,
The chisel to our expression,
The square to our heartfelt intention.
The drill to our completion,
Our real nightmare...
The politician.
Pain was something that a man loved to inflict.
He had four daughters and he was very strict.
He demanded control of his wife and daughters.
He had two Son-In-Laws who he slaughtered.
He murdered his first Son-In-Law for the life insurance money.
And he got twice as much cash because it was Double Indemnity.
When he blew off his hand for the insurance money, they wouldn't pay him anything.
So when he decided to decapitate himself, it was all for nothing.
He was eventually brought to justice for the evil that he inflicted.
But he wound up not going to prison even though he was convicted.
He staged his death to look like murder but he actually committed suicide.
He was a very dangerous and evil man, that's something that can't be denied.
The things he did were too horrible to contemplate.
He left this world at the age of 54 in March of 1978.

A Straight

came in to where I RightBrain sing
my Gay

He seems to want to stay,
to overpower my say
and will to sing
our musing pray
Because...
why?
I wonder what he feels
about me,
us,
about his own deep harmonic longing
to listen for our sung together feelings

You should build a wall around your heart they told her
You are too trusting, too open, too vulnerable, naïve
She laughed thinking of a wall like that.
She was a Pollyanna, a Julie Andrews, Snow White.
She would have lived with the Seven Dwarfs gladly,
Or entered an old codger’s house to hang prisms.
Her open light was a beacon, which drew in a narcissist.
He was handsome, which fooled her, like it had fooled others.
She was whisked away, thinking it was a forever after.
It was a life of hell, for she never learned to build the wall.
Every day thinking this is the day he will turn back into the prince.
Not realizing she had married a sociopathic wolf.
In this world of fake things
Where nothing is real
Nothing is authentic
And the market rules us all
There is no room
For real friendship
We are all using each other
To get ahead
So we pretend to be friends
All the time
Plotting against our so called friends
To get ahead
The market rewards the most vicious
Sociopathic values rule the market
Friendship is for wimps
And losers
Those winners end up
Alone all alone
For they have no real friends
But boy do they have real enemies
For in this fake world of ours
Perhaps hate is the one real emotion
That has survived
Exotic? Lee did not think so
He had heard stories, and neurotic was more likely
Erotic? He began to laugh,
His dendrites pinged with guffaws.
She was no more erotic than a virgin butterfly
Or so he had been told
By one who intended to keep her for himself
One who spread rumors about her ugliness of heart.
One who was psycho and sociopathic
His cousin, James, the ruiner
The one who hurt women
Almost as fast as they fell for him.
Luckily Lee was open hearted.
He decided to meet her for himself.
Stunningly gorgeous green eyes met his browns
Briefly, shyly, discreetly.
If anything was ever exotic it was
oranges, lemons, the rain forest and these green eyes
She was erotic too, and he enjoyed
savoring her, and saving her for himself.
