Late Poems

The apples are old
only good for smelling.
They will rot
returning to the earth
via the city dump.
For now they fill the kitchen
with Autumnal tones
and woodland tints.

The rot of this season
abides in its ripe fruit.
Such edible fruits
that tempt the mouth only to deceive.
The berries and apples are too sumptuous;
so quickly on the tongue
do they decay.

In the waste pits
fat white grubs burst their pale skins
releasing all the ailing redolence
of the Fall,
a scent and fodder
for the sinking clumps and tuffets,
for all the mossy corpses
with their damp and lusterless
rags of mist.

Fantastic Flight - Chapter 1 - Passionate, Frozen Desires

(V. 1) I’m so irresponsible,
But you’re gorgeous and irreplaceable
I don’t know how to let go
I don’t know where to go…
I shouldn’t leave behind my past totally
I don’t know how to let go of things
The pains of the past hunts me down again
I’m on my own and I’m sore to the core
I implore you to let go of me! Let go of me!
Let go of me now!! Set me free from bondage and captivity!
Feelin’ like I need a slap in the face literally!

*chorus*

The mountain winds are howling its stormy resentment
The snow glitters on the triumphant mountains…
I’ve tried to conceal these feelings of discontent
My eyes are spraying with tears of sorrow – weep no more, sad fountains
Don’t push me to the limits – I breathe in and out
I let go of my anxiety and trade it with prosperity–
I’m one with the passionate, frozen desires in my heart
I’m strong like Sampson in the bible –
Let the light of day unfreeze my heart’s agony and avarice
I don’t want to believe in those silly allegories…
Am I your living sacrifice?
My heart is as cold as ice…I need to take His advice!
I have faced reality alone before
Is this real or is this a myth? There’s more land to explore!

(V. 2) Dealin’ with a scatterbrained boy’s a job,
It’s like running a different race or realizing you’ve failed from the start
Not one took heart – I won’t let my eyes sob
I’ve painted you a dwelling place where you and I can escape
We can both escape from the worries of this world of woe,
Sinking in its self-indulgent greed and rolling in its death cart
Not one desired true love in his or her heart –
The abyss and the ebony skies clothed them all with one despondent cape
Hand me the duct tape!
Hand me the super glue!
I'll repair you...for you make me feel complete
Like my passionate, frozen desires...now, I can stand on both feet
I'll remain discreet until you rescue me and kiss me
I'll remain trapped in callous night...if you'll embrace me with glorious glee ! ! !
Let me fix you with my passionate, frozen miracles! I won’t push you out of shape!
Surprises are at every corner and every angle – you’ll see me gape!
I’m tired of feeling blue, knowing you for so long
Like a familiar, touching tune of a song

Partial Paper - A Poet Heart-

When ink carries its final tune
Moonshine-like liquid sweeps the mind
Bottles of ink will fill the pen
Composing a symphony on every line
Drops of passion all over the mask you wear
Nothing compares to black stains and broken nails

This part of you
"A CAN'T BE REMOVED" tattoo
The toughest skin you'll ever live in
Fountain pens of split identities
Who Are You?
Sinking words like no other
Poisoned ink piercing every rhyme
Inferior poet, making the heart pure
Anger shattered walls "GIVE ME MORE!"

inclined with a desire to paint all day,
Breathing and beating in every way
Toxic lines, from which ink flows
Inhaling images from the world
Deep and cold sorrowed emotions
True love is always easy to poetize
Dear Poet: "Ink Never Lies."

Pretty pink acrostic ink when nearby
Sugar and salt, Epic taste of reality
Ballads sang under the full moon
Sunny Sonnets, on any rainy day
Odes of rivers from your past
A dark smile jotting down memory lane
Monologue tears brought under pressure
Loading cartridges of fresh Senryu and Haiku"
Dramatic red runs through your veins when all is done
Unfolding old and new propaganda's
POET: You are my favorite verse in every stanza
   Only this, and nothing more
Writing is like giving birth to the moon

Shot Away Dreams

A joyful life was meant to be
Part of my future destiny
Filled with lots of dreams and hope
I was planning to elope
With the one who stole my heart
Special moments not forgot
Staying with you every minute
That your mind and soul will give it
Now those dreams do not exist
Just words upon a lonely list
That will never be fulfilled
Since a gunman shot and killed
The future hopes from under me
My whole world gone instantly
Songs are sung and prayers are said
As dark thoughts fill up my head
Seeing you fall slowly down
Blood is splattered all around
Holding you till your last breath
Tightly in my arms to catch
One last touch and loving feel
Before it becomes too real
Sinking in that you are gone
When I wake to a new dawn
Without the love that I adore
In my heart forever more
Knowing there will always be
An angel watching over me

Premium Member One Step Closer To the Edge

Beset by doubts before I rise from bed
Problems prey on my worrisome mind
My ability to reason has been maligned
Cockamamie notions fill me with dread

I see in the mirror, a disgruntled reflection
the haggard expression on my vexed face
I wear a frown that's been plastered in place
Malaise of despair poisons me with infection

On the edge of a mountain, lost in thought
always hungry and thirsty for peace of mind
It's been illusive to me, or have I been blind
Wanting to do what's right, but falling short

My past hovers in stygian clouds overhead
I haven't always made the wisest decisions,
which worries me to the point of derision
My sanity is in question, so lightly I tread

Conscience wallowing, sinking in quicksand
I'm standing at the fork of two raging rivers
My legs are trembling and my lip quivers
Crying for help; someone to take my hand

Would if I could, be a model of perfection
My psyche is shackled by chaotic unrest
Sagacity abandoned me; life is a mental test
I second guess myself with fear of rejection

I climbed back up to that mountain ledge
engrossed by waves crashing beneath me
Contemplating an idea to set my mind free
I wearily move one step closer to the edge

Experienced Lady

Innocence so was allured
she a baby for a chocolate
                                             captivated with the illusion
thought life's it's own beautiful reason

From straight to bend of back bone
for charade of life no solution
                                           carnal damage still going on
                                        now suffering from agoraphobia

                                           Sense of cerebellum sinking
no strength to go for a combat
oh! her sacrificed heart is crushed
cries again but with only vision

Premium Member A World Ends

And they would strut around the fire
Then sat upon their stools,
And argued long, in learned terms,
Who wore the better jewels!
But then there was a man about
Who none had seen before,
And though he wore a gentle face,
They felt a gentle horror.
For he did not dance around the fire
Or strut about like fools,
Nor did he argue who it was
That wore the better jewels.
And then there was a sudden fright
As when a spirit calls:
For he did not stand within the crowd
But stood within the walls!
And as he moved within the walls
A warmer air was felt,
And with a sort of sinking dread,
The walls began to melt.
They offered him their rubies
And diamonds from their hair,
They offered him the wedding bands
Of women young and fair.
They offered him the peerage,
They vowed to make him king,
They offered him the chilly duke
And any other thing.
For all of this, he did not care,
He took the world unaware
With silver lightning in his hair.

Will To Live

Feeling down, and really out,
mind now clouded up by doubt.
I know that this is not like me,
for my soul always soars quite free.

Depression is an ugly bird,
that has no wings and is absurd.
for nothing's changed, except for me,
just feelings that should never be.

My heart is sad, I know not why,
comfort now would be... to die,
where is that spark that filled my soul,
I'm sinking now in life's dark hole.

I know the path, I've been before,
and only me can force the cure,
no medicine will rescue me,
but God it's hard to struggle free.

I think it comes when I've been high,
when scorching wings against the sky.
what right have I to love my life,
when most of it is torn with strife.

But this I promise to myself,
I'll cure this malady of health,
for all life's wonders are still there,
It's only 'me' who doesn't care.

I'm over worked and over stressed,
is this the reason I'm depressed?
Alas, I know that's not the case,
I take both these within my pace.

It's being happy when I know
that others cannot share my glow,
I think I share in worldwide grief,
to give my soul it's core belief.

But I must quickly let it go
before it traps me down below,
return to life and start to run,
shake off this care and have some fun.

There's time and place for everything
and sometimes we must bear life's sting,
it's up to me my way to choose,
but left to feelings, I'd just lose.

I have to find the will to live
with only logic left to give,
ignore the aching in my soul,
and claw my way out from this hole.

In Your Lifetime

In your lifetime you will not escape without doing at least one good deed,
No matter how much your greed.
To some one else your mere existence
Will be a positive influence

You will be a hero to more than just your Mum,
Even if you are a bum.
Your words of wisdom will reach a listening ear,
Even if you don't care.

Even one act of kindness freely given,
Will be felt in heaven.
And despite your worst efforts here
Someone will bestow love on you here.

Even if you mostly only shout,
The laughter trapped inside of you will find a way out.
And you will put on at least one good show,
Though you don't think so.

You will lead someone out of the night
Into the light,
You will give someone a reason to smile,
Even if you feel not worthwhile.

Your trust will be given out,
even where there is doubt.
And your advice will be taken
Even if you are faking.

You will discover a belief in something,
No matter what you are thinking.
A belief in yourself could be that something,
That would stop you sinking is what I am thinking.
