Lord Teach Us To Pray

Lord, teach us to pray it's been a long and very cold kind of year
With so many now losing their way it has become so visibly clear
For France just another day in a world that has become so rotten
The further we're away from You the darker this life has gotten

With wars being fought everywhere, the news filled with death
Nobody really seems to care or is able to understand it's breath
For as we "left" Your Side oh Lord how quickly we lost our way
We just can't continue our slide oh Lord please teach us to pray

Starvation and disease as even Your Earth is beginning to shake
And even still now no one sees that this is now the time to wake
But so many slumber instead, denying Your Name in every way
For all those who are now dead, please Lord, teach us to pray

Lord teach us to pray as you give sight to those who are blind
Allow those who are lost in such a way that Your Glory they find
For there is no time to lose in calling your children to your side
Jesus paid your sinful dues as for You on that Cross He died

But Lord just teach us to pray...

Isaiah 63:10
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit:
therefore he was turned to be their enemy,
and he fought against them.

Premium Member Bone Beach

Lamenting land of broken hearts left to bleed
Mahogany misery loves company on bone beach

Seas of skeletons once were hearts on sleeves
Littering black sands like sea shells knee deep

See here the hand that was severed for theft
Stealing for reasons to feed others and self

Now a part of bone beaches black sand
And in the sinful world is a handless man

See here there is a woman without her womb
She killed her children during a full moon

She blamed it on a black man sealing doom
She is destined to a bone beach tomb

The hounds of hell will chew and chew
On all the bones and skulls for food

Never will be full despite what’s consumed
For they too are damned with hunger so huge

Bone beach is where elephants go to die
Bodies bloat souls fly high

But for those who have blackness inside
Outcast to black sands hell hounds eat you alive

Job's Dilemma: Sinful Man, Untamed Nature

Nature's, raw fury can no man withstand,
nor deeds of malcontent brothers understand
Natural calamities from: wind, water, divine command;
Man-made disasters by: leader, follower, brigand
Nature's untamed, mystical hand;
Man's marauding, sentient brand
Unseen forces generating chaos in each, hurricane
band ;
Contrasted with marksman's contrived, murderous stand
Without warning, listless gales shiver each, balmy strand;
Foreordained. work strikes with targeted violence planned
Mysterious, random tornadoes o'er storm trough spanned;
Calculating armies o'er demarcated lines fanned
Perilous, isolated earthquakes no instrument had scanned;
Callous looters colluding when supply does not meet demand
Spontaneous, volcanic emissions scar the land;
Gangs marked by sign; through attrition sculpting an urban island
Unforeseen floods lawful lives, endeavors do remand
Dictator coffers overflow; with taxes, kickbacks panned

Premium Member Trust In the Lord With All Your Heart

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. "Peace in you heart. Joy in your soul. Freedom in your spirit. All of these good things and more. Belong to you when you freely trust in the Lord. It shall be well, indeed with your soul. It shall be well, indeed with your soul.

The battle raging deep within your mind. Jesus will fight for you. Jesus will
defeat the enemy of your mind. He will bring his wonderous peace to your mind. He shall defeat the devil, and Jesus Christ will become Lord of your life.

The unclean thoughts raging deep within your heart. Feelings of lust and double mindedness. Whosoever the Lord sets free from the bondage of sin. Is free indeed. Jesus Christ will set your heart free indeed. It will no longer be under bondage of death, hell and the grave.

The black cloud of depression harboring deep within your soul. You soul can be washed whiter than snow. Jesus Christ will faithfully lift the bottomless pit of depression. And deliver you from your mental illness. "Just trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus. But to trust and obey in perfect submission. And pure peace and harmony will flood your soul.

The battle raging deep within your spirit. Has been delivered by the Holy Spirit. Satan is a defeated foe. He has no more power over you. The power over you is love sweet love. Your spirit is being purified. All by the precious blood of the Lamb of God. He has redeemed your captive spirit by setting you free from all of your sinful iniquities. He who the Holy Spirit sets free is freeborn indeed.

A feast of the spirit

A child like omen, bereft with tears,
Hearing the word, conjuring up fears,
Try though he did, to not upset God,
He found himself, in another sinful bog.

Growing up he heard the words,
"If you play with fire, you will get burns!"
Not that the solemn child did,
But for every mistake, the child had hid,
From a punishing God, to a parent,
The things he had done, were not readily apparent.

Forced to grow up at a tender young age,
He tried and tried his best to behave.
Sometimes it's easy, otherwise it's not,
But this child believes it is worth a shot,
And though God had other plans for this troubled
Young mind,
The poor poor child was still left behind.

"I will have my revenge upon you," so said that child,
"Mark my words, it will not be mild."
"I will feast on your spirit, to be more godlike,
It's the only way that I can make it right."

Since Christ had died for the worlds sin,
This little boy decided to give in,
To take his life so as to be without it,
He felt he'd triumph so he shouted.
He fell asleep in morbid depression,
He took his life, as he did not like the lesson.

Two Months
(Since you've been in Heaven)
By Franklin Price
03/18/2021

Dear Lord, today marks two months since my Barbara left this life
Since You, in love and kindness, took away her pain and strife
You waited 'til our daughter Dani, could be with us on that day
We held tightly to each other as you took Barb's soul away

Thank you Lord and Savior for the ultimate you gave
Your only son, upon the cross, for our sinful lives to save
Barb's with you up in Heaven for she believed that this is true
I'll join her when it's my time, for I do believe it too

Dani stayed with me 'til Sunday. The two of us, both laughed and cried.
We celebrated lives together, knowing Barb was by your side
Part of all our lives, is death. The ones left, then must progress
Dwelling on the dear departed, can make the left one's lives a mess

Alone and left with sorrow, thinking only, “woe is me”
I heard her voice from heaven, “It will be okay, you'll see”.
Facebook posts, and phone calls, E-mails, cards, more than a few.
The love was overwhelming, allowing life to start anew

God, you blessed me with my poetry to help me try to understand
Sent an old time friend to visit, to help me out and hold my hand
Last week I went to Florida to see my family and friends
All of them brought joy to me, For those I missed, I make amends.

I have more friends than I deserve. Time was through before I knew
I love you, though I did not see you. I know there's more than just a few.
God, I want to thank you for everything you've given me
For touching hands, down here on Earth, for my friends and family.

You safely brought a new life, to my down trod mourning scene
A Great grandchild to celebrate, and his given name is Dean
We're going out to see him when Barbara's birthday comes around
On the twenty-third of April, we will hear his first hand sound

You read right, I'm saying we, Barb is always in my heart
She'll see Dean through my own eyes, though she's seen him from the start
I know that she was looking down when he took a breath and cried
From Heaven she was watching, for she would not be denied

Although I'm still in mourning, it's with a forward facing smile
I know that's what Barb wants for me, for a frown's just not my style.

The Light of the world is Jesus Christ.***

The Light of the world is Jesus Christ!
He is our shining beacon of hope amidst
the covering darkness of this sinful world.***

He is our bright and shining candle light.***

He is our bright and shining candle light,
morning, noon and night! OH! Let!
Let all of the heavens and the earth
rejoice and sing! Glory to God our
newborn King!

He is our bright and shining candle light,
morning, noon, and night! Let all of the
heavenly and earthly saints rejoice and
sing! Glory to God in the highest and
peace on earth goodwill towards men
and women, boys and girls! ***

In heaven there is no darkness at all!***

In heaven there is no darkness at all!
Rejoice all of you heavenly saints and
gather round the throne of mercy and grace.
In heaven there is no nighttime, only
permanently God's Son's Shine!***

In heaven there is no darkness at all!***

Rejoice all of you saints of the earth below!
Jesus Christ will return before we know all
in the twinkling of an eye. The dead
in Christ shall be the first to rise.

Than we who are still alive, shall gather
together with them in the cloudy skies.
Our sinful bodies shall be instantly changed
into bodies of immortality! And we shall
sing and shout the victory!

With the shout of the archangel and the
trumpet of God, we shall meet him in
the middle of the cloudy air. And be
transported to our heavenly paradise!
In heaven there is no darkness at all! ***

Premium Member Pointed Fingers, Sneering Faces

With sadness and a deeply furrowed brow
I am apalled at the hate and wonder how
this world will somehow manage to survive
while bigotry and enmity eats humans alive

Lines are drawn between black and white
by those with penchants to bicker and fight
Words fly like feathers plucked over a nest
Blood seeps through the wounds in my chest

Humanity has fallen from grace and gone mad
Dark visions are of sorrow, my thoughts unclad
I've been stripped bare, left moaning deep sighs
Tears held in check behind my lamenting eyes

If you think you are innocent, you have no clue
You continue to accuse others until you turn blue
Point those scornful fingers at your sneering faces
Where anger and bitterness have left ugly traces

Earth is my sinful child but don't call me "mother"
Your wickedness and abuse causes me to smother
I pray with each mournful beat of my woeful heart
Seek the truth before you tear this sad world apart

Another Sex Scandal Hits the Party of Family Values

Another sex scandal hits the party of family values

Another fall from imperial grace
Another pastor
Caught in a red hot sex scandal

He claims that his wife
Had an affair with a pool boy
Who tried to black mail him

The pool boy denies it
Says the man liked to watch
And it was a consensual affair
No black mail at all

But the damage was set
The man
Was the president
Of a prominent university
An close allay of the President

Who led the evangelical support
For the President
And remains one of his close allay

Preaching that the Republicans
Are the party of family values
But in the end
People are people
And sometimes
They engage in inappropriate
Wrongful actions

Sinful actions indeed
Contrary to the teachings
Of the Christian faith

While preaching the opposite
In their smarmy snarky
Hollier than thou Attitude

they are hypocrites
Not following the tenants
Of the Christian faith
That they so proudly proclaim

In fact not doing what Jesus
 would have done
Yet another family values preacher
Caught up in a tawdry sex scandal

Now do doubt the president
Will deny that he even knows him
Just the way it is
It is what it is after all

One Last Time Before Next Time

ONE LAST TIME BEFORE NEXT TIME

As too much can’t get enough
Despite all efforts to get maximum satisfaction
Stingy time refusing to give us more time
Managing the little time we got; doing a lot in short period
Each climax surpassing the former; sapped energy seeking revival
So selfless we were, clinging to satisfy each other.

Deep in love with what we do
Every moment appearing like the first moment
Every time like the first time; always fun like the other
It turned from normal to everyday chores that must be observed
Same thing, same people, same exploit, same way
Yet, it always seems a new adventure.

With consistency came addiction
The constant lust to be lost; deep in the passion
Abstinence would mean insanity with sinful cure
Journey from home; far into other homes of other people
Soon the desirable would be unavailable and the available desirable
Before then, I need one last time before next time...
