Lord Teach Us To Pray

Lord, teach us to pray it's been a long and very cold kind of year
With so many now losing their way it has become so visibly clear
For France just another day in a world that has become so rotten
The further we're away from You the darker this life has gotten

With wars being fought everywhere, the news filled with death
Nobody really seems to care or is able to understand it's breath
For as we "left" Your Side oh Lord how quickly we lost our way
We just can't continue our slide oh Lord please teach us to pray

Starvation and disease as even Your Earth is beginning to shake
And even still now no one sees that this is now the time to wake
But so many slumber instead, denying Your Name in every way
For all those who are now dead, please Lord, teach us to pray

Lord teach us to pray as you give sight to those who are blind
Allow those who are lost in such a way that Your Glory they find
For there is no time to lose in calling your children to your side
Jesus paid your sinful dues as for You on that Cross He died

But Lord just teach us to pray...

Isaiah 63:10
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit:
therefore he was turned to be their enemy,
and he fought against them.

Vincent, I love your prayer. We all need to reach out and pray for all this violence to come to an end. Blessings & hugs 7
