Blessed was I to be a thread of love sown by you.
Growing up, I was pleased you thought me your twin flair.
Losing you was the worst heart dark I ever knew.
For years, my grief over you seemed too much to bear.
After you died all of nature's colors seemed blue.
The morn you turned breathless my silence screamed aimless.
I prayed a fathomless numbness would mercy brew.
Seeing you die, I ground curled and cried out shameless.
Twenty years have grown beautiful Dad love to view.
I know your image will stay whole in love clear air.
Now, when birds sing on green days made sunshiny new,
I embrace past shared life without feels of despair.
The definition for the word decadent in this poem is the following: extremely
pleasing
The synonyms you can have in mind are the following: unrestrained and
shameless
I want to indulge in this love
To arrive at its very core
I want that delectable taste
The pleasure that it has in store
I want to revel in opulence
Luxuriate in comfort fine
To savor its decadent treats
Indulging in what is sublime
I want to relish its sweetness
To take in and not abstain
I want to be ravished by love
To give in to pleasure and pain
I want to be wild, uncontrolled
Glutted in a wanton excess
To be obsessively taken
Have my inner woman undress
Like richest silky smooth chocolate
I'll tempt, tantalize, and I'll tease
Making love to be what I want
To melt in my need to appease
Decadently decadent love
Is all that my heart and soul crave
To be lost in time and in place
To drown in a love that can save

This is a repost. There was a time when I was deleting my poems. This was ohe of them. I have brought it back to light. Thanks for reading.
Looking around our country and the world as I’ve watched hatred and misogyny soar
I have to wonder why more people aren’t ashamed of these feelings anymore?
Then again, I’m too old for you to ban the history I’ve read…
a history that shall and should never be forgotten…
I know our great acts as a people…as well as our most vile, shameless and rotten…
From the founding of this country we find incidents of how some people were depraved
from the way they treated the indigenous population…to the people they enslaved.
Wait! What! We forced people off their lands while other people we owned!
How did we not know behavior like this is wrong…and should never be condoned!
There are those who say we’re not the same country… all that happened back in the day
to them I say, look again…look how we’re still mistreating one another today.
It’s amazing how the fear of someone different can harden up a heart
because we’ve been mistreating people…right from our country’s start.
Japanese-Americans, Asians, people of a different color, women…pregnant women too
people with disabilities, from different countries, different races, different religions…the LGBTQ
All of you born to be the people who they are
or who worship a different God…the one you think is great
You’ve all…at one time or another, felt our prejudice…and hate.
With this mistreatment of people is still occurring around the world today…
it appears we have a history of mistreating one another this way.
Which brings me back to my original question..as I’ve watched hatred and misogyny soar:
Why aren’t we as a people more ashamed of these feelings anymore?
But as we continue to mistreat one another…now I’m not so sure.
If I should I be wondering why we’re not more ashamed…
or wondering if we ever were.
A silent scream spreads through the night,
A bittersweet joy in the darkness,
In a world of sour sweetness,
Joyful sadness waltzes bright.
A deafening whisper calls us near,
While noisy silence fills the day;
Jumbo shrimp and icy flames,
They play their little big matches.
Living dead and peaceful strife,
A false truth in everyday life,
An awkward relaxed grace, a surprise,
Truthful lies hide in plain sight.
With cruel kindness, we laugh as we cry,
with open secrets that`re not hidden,
A false reality touches the air,
An uncertain certainty spreads apace.
In shameless honour, a giggle grows,
As chaotic order settles,
Across untimely time and space,
Where grave funny oxymorons lie.
Meaningless Numbers
The worst numbers are those with rough edges
Perversions of nature not smooth or level
With odd forms and shapes
Having them around insults circles
And the innocent curved numbered ones
Meaningless, are the digits not used
If there is more than one, figures get confused
Line them up with math and logic
Hold them against the wall with clues
Find some matches, loose and dry
Place a bomb, lit fuse, beside them
They will not move or tell the truth
They won’t go screaming into the night
They mimic all other numbers to make them numb
Not alive, not to imply they are dead
They are to be hated for that
And when the remainder remains the same
You can count on them for nothing
Their impertinence explains it all
Meaningless numbers are everywhere
Shameless, as even the old ones look the same
I don’t know their names and can’t explain absurdity
When shopping I have to take a number and wait
A cause and effect that escapes me and reason
You are a soligaster of the highest order, held in pristine favor by your court. A wordsmith after Satan’s own heart.
Champion of Doublespeak, a demonstrative firebrand with a MAGA-phone. An artful dodger, complete with chaotic DOGE.
Delusions more grandiose than Bonaparte, crowned King of Deception you be a celebrated charlatan who follies in the scam.
Hats off to the Misleader of the Free World, ‘Trumping’ reality in monolith farce filled fallacies, fabulously flaunting fake.
Protagonists of propaganda. Promoter of pandemonium. You thrive in ‘Mythomania’ unraveling truths with charismatic flare.
Purveyor of provocation.
Pestilence peddling Prince of Calamity. May you find solace amongst the shameless.
Does Nox hold sway where you sit or lay,
or stand blanketed in deep fog's clime?
Where perfectly proportioned physical deformity holds
in substantive and coddled awe' sublime.
Shrouded in shot from fusil's beautiful dark pall,
far from heredity's nameless and shameless hall.
We walked as friends, along a stoney ledge
talking of women and lofty soul's reprisal'd pledge.
Wore separate clothes, to separate mothers
we cling'd,
free of our father's shadow at last.
Yet in time..
if your beliefs differ from mine
will you still call me brother?
We are so few since wreck and ruin,
should hate ever.,
take us away one another.
I'd never turn against, you have my word,
no matter the seizur'd absence of mind.
For it held strong our promised bond,
and for it,
prefer neck to the sword.
No crowning achievement in sorrows my truth,
faithful friendship strong as any belief,
more than life it's a simple us I hold to.,
for w'out us there'd be no more we.
fettered frightened multitude at our backyard,
wailing in sombre sigh, waiting for beckett's “godots”
multitude with talents begs their oppressor to survive,
dying amidst plenty with multitudinous buried unfinished destinies,
stunted by great grand fathers who by hex and vex held million in thralldom
The new oppressor worse than the slave masters of yore bereft of ideas
conquered able bodied myriads
deceived by dinosaurs that some future belongs to them,
and by turns, shameless retards, recycle themselves from North, west south.
old felons fit for gallows, and the slumbering youth
waiting, even at fifty with no more strength to pursue their dreams
Table turned ,
A great giant of yesteryear now a crumbled decrepit through aeonian corruption
rogues who ruled and ruined us now more relevant than a Nobel.
criminals rewrite our history to fit their lenses of lies
corn and national rapist, takes a new title in the vacuum of hero
A country without a hero, the most peopled hub of Africa
A mixture linseed and flaxseed
and their youth sleep on
oh sanctity! What savagery is cast upon your honour,
where religion is the garb of two faced enemies
Leaders as criminals Yes ALL, no hero among thieves.
Desperation for power, bereft of ideas to lit up the darkness
A vast exotic hub of resources , submerged by men without honour
should we name names?
Their conscience loud the wounds for the wealth stolen for their own children
as the rest are cowered in fear, by the Police who they armed protecting them and killing others
How many gloomy days is yet to come?
How long will dreams be buried ?
In the country of cowards
as the youth whose destinies is wasted sleep on
Through the mists, they swim south.
Same as a badger's swim wood in the mouth.
Natural bearing and timing in untamed life.
Wolves in a hurry are in their strife.
They wreak ruin by laying up the principles.
I wonder whether the birds grasp the fools.
I wonder whether the birds understand why.
Blending ducks, geese, and pigeons apply.
Panic swelled when they heard gunfire.
This is accomplished for delight or dire.
How well do they regard the process?
Moose, elk, and other gigantic broadness.
If all these hunts are allowed to meander.
He has no qualms over a horrific murder.
Do they, similar to the sphinx, need man wiped out?
I never realized nature left signs or had content.
She abhorred demise for the fine of her sake.
This shameless abuse of the human wake.
Bestow the existence of the species up to the end.
The actual expense of mischief is as yet unfurled.
This stunt is a shame to humankind.
Lands have stopped delivering food grind.
Since trees are infected from the root.
The biological basis has become moot.

Day’s labor done and task set aside my eyes are called to the glorious beauties of horizon’s setting sun, while whispers of gentle flowing breeze bring memory of home.....cleansing my soul and signing end to yet another day so far from you. Golden rays stream from heavens above,,, lifting my hopes to that distant place as with eyes closed the brilliant colors of our yesterdays unfold before me.... beckoned by call of this my thirsty soul.
Waves of passion timeless and clear spill through now open gates as heart, mind and soul are swept once more to that place of calm reassurance, rejoicing in the known peace so perfectly centered in the glory of your love.
Though here, I am there, surrounded by treasures mine for the taking, a melody of moments take life, ,,,,hands of the clock stand still,,,,, and I stand- arms empty yet holding firm in loving embrace.
Miles distant and time long past your kisses rained gentle upon these cheeks, cheeks which now burn with the sting of tears shameless flow, falling to the dry dust of this broken land.
Standing on hallowed ground my simple prayer this fleeting shadow of hope might tarry a moment longer in the light.....
,,,,holding,,,, holding tight with all my might to this moment we now share across such cruel distance.... ohhhh more precious than gold these grains which once flowed through the seamless glass of time.
Yes surely such ecstasy shall fade as waters held in open hand, ,,,,still I hold tight that I might take glimpse of you even if it be through the tainted eyes of this mind’s memory.
Ohhhh.....so bitter sweet that I’m allowed here, and there, for surely the painful sting of known return to tomorrow’s struggles awaits......yet still,,,,,still,,,,,, one more breath,, one more kiss,,,,,, one more long embrace ......
Alas I turn and face the truth of many a day to come, thankful and refreshed in the sweet breath just past and the fresh airs of home relived.
