Banyan Tears
i'd lifted myself from the tyranny of war i'd triumphed over the sorted mountain sparingly scattered throughout a fascist abyss vaguely i'd remember freedom a calmness withered beneath my soft brown skin bathe within the shameless beam glowing from my wide brown eyes i'd witnessed the trees weep in the deep silence of the dawn awakening too soon before the morning dew rashin enough moisture to cleanse the warm blood from the coarse bark dripping solemnly into the the sinking roots rising wrapping clinging again to the stretched out branches posing as arms of strength continuing to embrace flesh and bones of dark ripened nectar my heart pounding the smell of damp breath angry hounds gather near the bottom of the wood amidst what is evil and what is good
