what if one man died to stop world starvation?
what if one died to end racial segregation?
what if one man died for social justification?
what if one man died so we could have eternal salvation?
what would you do? what would you say?
would you get on your knees and for them pray?
what if one woman stood up for gender equality?
what if one woman refused to stand and give up her seat?
what if one woman served all her life trying to save lost souls?
what if one woman took a stance to help empower woman's roles?
what would you say? what would you do?
would you stand and applaud them and give them their proper due?
throughout the history of mankind
many have stood up and many have died for a cause
men and women who were fearless in their quest
willing to died without pause
Ghandi, Dr. Martin Luther King and Medgar Evers
Rosa Parks, Susan B. and Mother Theresa
they all took a stand in this world to make a sacrifice for us
but the one who died to set our souls free was Christ Jesus
I saw you cry and wondered why
I’d ask, but I didn’t wanna pry
How could I prove my hunch was right
In what my instincts said?
I never knew why you wouldn’t stay
You grabbed your purse and ran away
But when you couldn’t escape the light
I saw your skin had bled
Your life to me’s this mystery
You’ve chosen not to share with me
You want to keep it sewn up tight
I’ll honor your request
That choice is yours ‘cause no one’s sure
Just what goes on behind closed doors
But blinding others to your plight
You cheat yourself instead
For winter sleeves in summer heat
Hide the bruises buried deep
You yearn for rescue from your fight
To free you from this dread
You’ve often dreamt of life so sweet
Where true love sweeps you off your feet
A place where freedom feels just right
And harm will never tread
So be the one - let loose your tongue!
For heroes who remain unsung
Rose to power from their fight
By speaking out instead

Cut To The Chase...And Tan Hat Man!
Though reading horror stories (macabre),
an only every now and again
genre crazy wave
washing over me like
a killer tsunami,
(subsequently fueling
desperation) to save
thine scrawny ****,
(a derriere laughing stock,
and hence cheeky of me to rave),
those rare occasions satiated, when
hung over insomnia heavily bulging,
rheumy myopic blood shot eyes
nonetheless lock into
critical opening sentence determining,
whether adroit kingly author
nimbly setting the stage and pave
ving what thenceforth, pro
misses tubby a cell out ace
in the hole captive audience
(me, this apt pupil), doth brace
himself (by all counts once
a bad little kid) deserving, well...now...
just a bag of bones,
who fiendishly cackles
when leaning in (Sheryl Sandberg like),
whereat after opening sentence, an instantaneous
possessive gnarly hand
forcibly grabs my attention
presaging and frightening
yours truly (juiced in case
ye did not know),
where within the bazaar
of bad dreams epic,
which seems like forever,
when I finally erase
and exorcise the bogeyman who,
masterfully, immediately,
dramatically got woven
lady chattery teeth and all
withering wicked warp and woof
establishing (proof positive),
an excellently crafted
Chiral Mad heavily shades
of night are falling
gussying haunting place,
where the color of evil permeates
every cerebral space
with darkness, said
sub rosa prime evil punctuates
the mind this dream catcher,
whence after four past midnight
the reaper's image appears
sending adrenaline rush,
viz flight or fight blind
did, when firestarter alarm didst grind
passage of time manifesting dark forces
blaze zing atavistic fear itself lined
up battleground formation
from the borderlands of my mind
this even before turning
the first page where the eyes
of drag'n my afterlife shined!
Y después de todo, todo esto, mi amor
Yo te amo, te adoro y siempre te amare
Yo te amo, te quiero y te seguiré amando

My silent serene soul softly craves your candles of crystalline calm.
Your gallant greens of golden glow gently beam with bumbles, bashing blissful thoughts in a thundering whisper.
Our chemistry and connection is madly enchanted in ethereal crimson certainty of nectar's new dawn.
I want to own the oceans and you like I hold my butterflies and beliefs.
Rumple my radiant lips on silhouette sheets of your secret shoulder yard, leaving amaranth art of kisses on your lavender chest.
Letting your spikes of spices chase me into a search of serenity.
You are my wind in the wild storm.
The whisperer, wanderer in my mystical melodies.
You are the tempting thoughts in my tempestuous tides, thrilling the turbulent twilight of my heavenly heart.
The mesmerizing midnight memories in the infinite brain of my independent heart.
I'm nightfall without your luminous laughter.
I'm dateless without your conducive calendar of pink promises.
I'm the death of a wasteful war and torn tears from the endless screams.
Be the pondering puzzles of my relentless reasoning.
The savoury solitude in my sour soul.
The hibiscus honey and roasted peanuts in my poetic pantry.
My rustling reckless reflection in muttered excuses.
And I'll be your rainbow, your Rosa Juliet.
Your chocolate cosmos. Your scout for love in the jungle of jasmine spring.
I have fondly found fleeting fragrances of happiness from the ryhming rheum in your eyes. It is daring densely, hallucinating hazardously, making me stare still till I blindly bleed in haphazard hues.
Till eternity my love, your secret silence is the riff in every song. It is the splash of every sound. The hair on my stirred skin. The pulchritudinous phases of pain in astrological agony.
Stand, stand my sublime king so thou shalt see the height of my love for thee.
Listen, listen my charming prince so you shall hear my painting in every voice.
So you can feel the breathless bath of the present and the tickle in the tapestry of our voiceless vows, viciously channeled through the thighs of our bond and the sync of your seductive grasp.
So I can smell the wind of your hands slowly stroking my sensitive skin and the attention of my hairs saluting your stemless grasps.
My soul critically craves you my workshop and I your tools.
Writing was our passion a few years ago
Scribing writes of many, themes, topics
Amidst the Soup of our poetry posts
Via a climate cool and so very tropic
Writes were read, comments aplenty
Thrall began to meld and duo's became
Co-writing poems, the fusion of minds
Creating anew, two writers now aim
Our joining of thoughts drew us close
Feeling that the writing had to be felt
So the only way to determine such
Are future cards and how their dealt
To Manila where we met, minds set
Conversation growing, present, past
Visiting Batangas, Santa Rosa mmm!
To Taal, two poets fused hopes to last
Days weeks to months, passed apart
Longing for bands to cement two souls
The knowing that soon we'll soon start
Melding our wants to achieve our goals
We're now close to five years together
Ducking and ecstatic at what live throws
For two became three, Jamie and thee
Our hearts in absorb watching us grow.
If you too, girl
You’re sad, O little girl,
In the streets of Lisbon,
I love your black silence,
O little girl, so pretty,
Your eyes down, little girl,
Know everything about me,
They cry, this life,
O little girl, with your pink sweater,
Lisbon is your capital,
Don’t change, little girl,
Cry again, o saudade,
Without knowing why
I cry in my turn
Seeing you, o little girl,
O Lisboa, O Lisboa,
I am like you, O little girl,
I cry too, o saudade
Without knowing why,
I mourn this love gone,
To see you again one day,
O Lisbon, O Lisboa.
Se você também, garota
Estás triste, minha menina,
Nas ruas de Lisboa,
Eu amo seu silêncio *****
Ó menina, tão bonita,
Olha para baixo, menina,
Sei tudo sobre mim,
Eles choram, esta vida,
Ó menina, com a tua camisola rosa,
Lisboa é a tua capital,
Não mudes, minha menina,
Chora outra vez, ó saudade,
Sem saber por que
Eu choro por minha vez
Ao ver-te, ó menina,
O Lisboa, O Lisboa,
Sou como tu, Ó menina,
Eu também choro, O saudade
Sem saber o porquê,
Eu choro por esse amor partido
Para te ver novamente um dia,
O Lisboa, O Lisboa.
Joy's living everywhere with high stature while
Angels peek down from their rhythmic atmosphere
From their nests in this homeland so graceful
Where angels have their own legislature
Together with the flowers that shed their magic petals
Life's dancing everywhere in green rapture
I see Monte Rosa with her pink features
As an imagined woodland, gleeful, yet, unsettled
A monument to God's hand so plentiful
From the view of those heights, I'll be nurtured
With the snow-kissed mountains nourishing the soul
Open hearts blessed joyfully by nature
Those forlorn trees, reserved but graceful
Bestowing graciousness, even in upheavals
I'm going home to that land now nestled
Restful, where I feel snuggled by nature
With some delicious golden apples and grapes
My mind dances everywhere with rapture in these lands
With grand dreams in this terra firma so blissful
The clouds kiss the peaks
Woodland trails remain restless
While sun sprinkles summits

HERO DAY
From the depths of history, their stories unfold,
Of black men and women with spirits untold,
In defiance of chains, they rose above,
Their hearts relentless, fueled by love.
African kings and queens, proud and revered,
Adorned with grace, their power endeared,
Leading their people, with wisdom profound,
In the face of oppression, their courage resound.
Through the darkness of the Middle Passage,
They carried hope amidst a barbaric rampage,
Spirits unbowed, though shackled in chains,
They saw the light, as liberation rains.¹²
From Harriet Tubman's guiding light,
To Frederick Douglas, marinating insight,
They fought for justice, their souls ablaze,
Braving dangers, in emancipation's maze.
The echoes of Sojourner's words ring true,
"Am I not a human, deserving rights too?"
Disrupting conventions, they questioned it all,
Their voice a clarion, tearing down walls.²°
Astride the saddle, majestic and strong,
Buffalo Soldiers, their honour belongs,
Protecting the frontier with unyielding might,
They battled adversity and darkness took flight.
In Montgomery, a humble seamstress arose,
Rosa Parks, unwavering, her bravery shows,
With courage on her side, she took her stand,
Reclaiming her dignity, a symbol in her hand.
Martin Luther King Jr., a visionary light,
His dream etched in hearts, day and night,³°
With words as his weapon, love as his shield,
He shattered barriers, equality revealed.
So, let us pay homage to the valiant hearts,
Who bridged the bondage and mount heights
Their heroics celebrated, their stories embraced,
In their triumphs, the spirit of freedom is traced.
"Hero Day" we name it, with honor and cheer,
A dedication to the heroes, far and near,
For their bravery, their triumphs we hail,
In unity, their legacy shall forever prevail.4°
