The Rose grows
in a quiet place now
where none ever would before,
in a secret garden
next to a hidden well
all kept deep inside
my heart.
Many times when I would
think of you,
a seed
would get planted in my garden,
but, the water from
the well
was not enough
to germinate
the seed,
so the rose
couldn't grow.
After years
and years
of thoughts
and thinking
about you,
you came back
into my life
and the well
that was drying up
found itself
a new source
of water,
a meandering brook
moved and shaped
by heavenly forces
now helped to fill up and feed
the well.
As my daily time
with you increased,
more seeds were planted
with one, so far, taking root.
Combining waters from the brook
and the well
plus lots of sunlight,
the Rose is growing
and starting to blossom.
It’s living on my love
(the hidden well),
your love
(the meandering brook),
and God’s love
(the Son’s Light).
I believe now this Rose
will continue to thrive
in the secret garden
of my heart
as my love for you
will always be,
so will the Rose
never die.
Never had the feeling of being in love.
Some say its Beautiful like a rare red rose with a dove around it.
Friends told me it’s a feeling that you’ve never felt before. (And which they thought the
relationships they went through will be no more!!) “Laugh”
Until the day you’ve been going through situations with love.
And it made you sit there and think while starring at the sky so blue.
But when one comes up and says he loves you. You get scarred!
Think and say: how could it be?? Think: what will it feel like?
Then maybe you will turn around and he will say: “syke”!! (with a rude little joke)
Then it turns out…..”He was serious”!! Then you will think he is hilarious (laugh)
And in this situation you have no idea “what to do”?
You look in each others eyes and you can’t dismiss them.
So then you know you are not ready because of drama and not knowing anything about love.
You begin to have misunderstandings about this. “Cant help but to think can I resist??”
That can be good for you. You then remember what people say with love like the Rose and Bird.
You then realize you have been in confusion with love.
Form:
The way to melt a lass’s heart
Is to give her one single rose.
It will be more precious to her than
A dozen or two dozen roses.
It sends a message that she is the ONE.
The one lass in your life, the one you love!
A hand written note to accompany it. . .
She will save forever, and she will probably
Press that rose in a book to be cherished.
Many lads seem to think bigger is better. . .
Not true for a lass with a true heart.
If she gushes over the single rose you give her. . .
Then her heart is as pure as her love for you.
Pick a Valentine card with great thought
And care, and if you attempt to write how
You feel about her in your own hand
Be prepared to share the best
Valentine’s Day of your life!
*Note: This message is from a lady with many years of experience who also
has raised three daughters. Happy Valentine's Day!.....I will be away on a trip for
two weeks to see my first grandson who is almost a month old, so I will not be able to
comment on your poetry as often until my return.
What Love means / Was Liebe bedeutet / Que el amor significa
Love's soft petals fall
Leaving bare thorny branches
Heady perfume gone
But with care and attention
From one rose grows a bouquet
Zarte Liebesblüten fallen
Nur nackte dornige Zweige bleiben
Kein berauschender Duft mehr
Doch mit Pflege und Liebe
Wird aus einer Rose ein Bouquet
Pétalos de amor caen
Dejando lampiñas ramas espinosas
No más embriaga perfume
Pero con cuidado y atención
Crece de una rosa un ramillete
Love a blooming rose
Always flowering in us
And nourished by faith
A never ending story
A safe heaven for our soul
Liebe eine blühende Rose
Sie blüht immer in uns
Genährt durch Vertrauen
Eine unendliche Geschichte
Zuflucht für unsere Seele
El amor es una rosa
Floreciendo en nosotros
Alimentados por la confianza
Una historia sin fin
Refugio de nuestra alma

She walks down the shore to the quiet beech,
She's looking for a hand in reach.
She dresses in the beauty of white,
Hoping what she's doing is right.
She wears a rose up in her hair,
Her arms are very thin and bare.
She hopes that she will do no wrong,
And she's been crying for very long.
She slowly drops down to her knees,
But yes she still absorbs the breeze.
She takes her rose down from her hair,
Gets up and walks out to somewhere out there.
To where you no longer can see her,
And walks to where the waves go above her.
Now that you can see her no more,
The waves begin to quickly roar.
Her rose comes back down to the shore,
The fine red pedals slowly tore.
They slowly drifted far away,
But they'll return another day.
For as of now it all is gone,
Yet it all shall return as dusk turns to dawn.
Form:
Silently he weaves his way through nebulous skies
Traversing the night for his place in the sunshine
Beautiful planet he'd seen once upon a dream,
On his breast rests a rose of Sharon of gold streams.
The ride is rough as he must avoid shooting stars,
Attractive for a time, but mirrored dreams they are,
Their fires soon becoming extinguished, gone black
Meeting their doom in the vacuum of black holes' trap.
Such fatal end becomes a blessing in disguise
He learns he must follow a pattern for safe flight
He draws power from the sun and the earth's moon
Whose lights are constant, a sight he knows not to lose.
At long last, near the moon he finds her, his heaven
Her light turned brightest gold by the rose of Sharon.

She's sometimes a rose
She's sometimes a thorn
Sometimes the sun and sometimes the storm
Sometimes she questions and sometimes she knows
She's sometimes a rose and sometimes a thorn
Sometimes she's good and sometimes she bad
She makes me complete
She's driving me mad
she's straight as an arrow then bent like a bow
She's sometimes a rose and sometimes a thorn
She's shrouded in mystery...in mystical moans
She confounds and confuses
She's hot then she's cold
She's fire and smoke...in summer she snows
She's sometimes a rose and sometimes a thorn
She's iron and ice
She's a friend and a foe
She's naughty and nice
She's a whirlwind that blows throuh my blood and my bones
Lost in her land I'm found where love flows
She's sometimes a rose and sometimes a thorn
He sees the rose in her cheeks
She sees the wrinkles of time in her mirror
He sees the long, flowing brunette of her shining hair
She sees wisps of grey, dull hair that she can't manage
He sees shine and twinkle in her blue eyes
She sees her reflection through corrective lenses
He holds the soft, smooth hand that wears a gold band
She feels him squeeze her weathered, gnarled hand
He sees her running through the garden to greet him
She feels the pain, as she walks with her cane to meet him
He sees the girl he met and loved at seventeen
She sees the love of her life
He sees through rose colored glasses
She adores him

when I see a rose I know it will die and it's beauty will fade as time passes by. I
treasure the rose. For you are my rose who I will protect till you should fade and your
beauty vanishes into the starry night sky.
When I see a bear I think of a brave and ancient creature who will one day be tamed and
held forever in a cage. I smile at the bear so mighty and fierce for you are my bear who
will never give up. Who will always be brave when times are tough.
And when I see a child I think of innocence that never dies and love that simple with
nothing attached. I think of you then my sweet sweet wife for you the innocent child the
brave bear and the beautiful rose that gives my life meaning and keeps my heart beating.
