May I tell YOU a story , about Prayer in my Life
There was a time I hated my GOD, (as a foolish waif)
I cried for so long when HE took “ LENORE “ my Wife
It took 26 years before I Prayed “Please keep Lenore safe”

Now every time when I kneel down, Bow my head and Pray
I know that GOD will answer me, in a very LOVING Way
Let’s all hold hands, and Pray to GOD for Sara and Her Son
A Prayer or two For Rhonda H and my Friend Vince’s Son

Take away the pain and Sorrow as we praise YOUR Name
Yesterday , Today , Tomorrow , and for the eons of ETERNITY
In the name of the Father - God : The Son - Salvation : and the--
Holy Spirit - The Comforter Who absorbs the tears WE cry : AMEN

Dedicated To Sara Kendrick and HER Family May YOU be Blessed
by the POWER of PRAYER ; With LOVE ALWAYS...Harry

Look at us, all lonely people
Tasting your words as seasons roll
For dreams are reborn glazed by fire;
When strings explode, plucked to inspire
As lines croon, throbbing sighs kindle.

Notes of vision unchain time’s riddle
Let it be, verse rocks in vigil
Guitars strumming peace on live wire,
Look at us.

To all you say, make life flicker
While long and winding roads still dwell
Teaching the world love’s not for hire.
As fused pair, lyrics reach hearts’ spire
To cuddle hope, feeding desire,
Look at us.

~Lenon-Mc Cartney Team, inspiration
from the songs Eleanor Rigby, Let It Be,
and The Long and Winding Road

Beatlemania (The Fab Four As Lovers)

Once a choir boy, John turned to romance,
Fell for Yoko almost at first glance.
In full public view
In bed with her too -
Showed the world how to “give peace a chance.”

Quiet George played much more than guitar.
Lost his wife to another rock star.
Layla left him because
Of how hung up he was
On the music he made with his sitar!

Ringo acted in “Caveman” and met
His wife Barb (once a Bond girl) on set.
Though the film of this drummer
Was dumber than dumber,
Wise in love, he’s not left his Barb yet!

A heart breaker, Paul left Wife "One"
For Linda, and made her a vegan!
On their farm smoking pot,
They made money (a LOT)!
He’s a genius whose life sure seems fun!

Premium Member I Liked Her Better Now

First off let me congratulate you
She was shocked, not expecting this
Very kind of you she said, smirking
We did not get along well

Life is easier after a death
Joy comes in spurts in between sobs
She did not know I had changed
Purification of my soul had begun

We were make believe friends for a bit
Walking together in the evenings
Like you better now she told me
Great! I replied. I like you the best of all

How did we become besties?
Need I look any further?
Rhonda had taken care of grams
First there, holding her as she died.

Grandma had always said she was terrific.
Kindness came through more clearly now.
Lifelong friendship developed out of grief.
She and I have been close for over thirty-two years.

QUIET RIVER WAKES

A river lays still on a hush
Of edges mild in deepened blue;
Until her trail

iust like a winding river
blue notes trickle down and streams
along the ocean where thev were heard
all around unique each
in their tempo sailing in a whirl
of life's dance: with distinct flow
in sweet motion to be adorned
 as one long song,

still a rhapsody has its fading
as with a prelude there must be
an end, ike seasons with ellipses
that pause only to open
new lilts of fresh cycle;
my passages turning into another bend
awaiting the chances of a lake's journey
to sail and be taken away by a float
embracing my body in the dew.

The hands of twilight amble through glazed clouds
Soothing my emptiness, a heart’s debris,
Although one longtime wish rattles aloud
Warm is the breeze that flutes in symphony.

Soothing my emptiness, a heart’s debris,
Ripples of time explore true north’s hourglass
Warm is the breeze that flutes in symphony;
As life seeks a reaping from time’s compass

Ripples of time explore true north’s hourglass
When in a gush, drizzles of kismet pour,
As life seeks a reaping from time’s compass
Oh, pennies from heaven open sky’s door!

When in a gush, drizzles of kismet pour
Drenching the thirst of love’s rebirth, joy flares;
Oh, pennies from heaven open sky’s door,
I taste once more a blooming warmth so rare.

Drenching the thirst of love’s rebirth, joy flares;
Although one crumpled wish rattles aloud;
I taste once more a blooming warmth so rare.
The hands of twilight, wander through glazed clouds

. …….. ..

* Oxford English Dictionary:’e. pennies from heaven:
unexpected benefits; also (in sing.): a windfall,
a godsend (rare).

*A song, Pennies from Heaven, was composed
in 1936---‘ don't you know each cloud contains
pennies from heaven’…

A garden presents a most beautiful sight
When seen from afar in a much broader light,
For there in a setting with all that surrounds,
Its total of beauty and color abounds.

To observe much too closely, study and dwell,
Inspect every flower and leaf very well,
Will quickly cancel the powerful presence
Of unified form with divergent essence.

Then we are bound to observe those objections—
The scattered, meaningless small imperfections
Of petals and blossoms and leaves not so fair;
Lose sight of the wonderful whole that they share.

We can also apply this to those we love,
And sometimes must separate, step back enough,
To view the grand total of gifts which combine
To create an image of balanced design,

And appreciate well those colors which are
A bit subtle up close but strong from afar.
So trite imperfections get lost in the ray
Of the aura of wholeness seen from away.

And so like the grand garden’s totality,
When we stand back to thoroughly look and see,
We will vision with awe a marvelous view…
Total beauty and depth now perceived anew.

Quote: Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop,
a crystal, a moment of time is related to the whole,
and partakes of the perfection of the whole.”

God Only Knows

The Beach Boys are singing with the Royal Philharmonic
as I sit upon my balcony and sip my gin & tonic

The music plays, it draws me in, the sounds are getting louder
they transport me to sunny climes ~ the coast of California

I visualize the surfers as they race towards the sea
in their psychedelic shorts ~ to catch a wave ~ no guarantee

Full of great determination they seek the tallest wave
they catch their wave, they are so brave,
then cheer and shout, they soar so high
       supreme and wild
          they touch the sky
so full of excitations and joyous jubilations
they raise their arms in wondrous celebrations

The music deep inside my soul where is it taking me
I am setting sail upon a boat they named the ‘Sloop John B’

It sails from sunny Eastbourne to California by the sea
So ‘Wouldn’t it be Nice’ in ‘The Warmth of the Sun’
To ride in Daddy’s T-Bird having ‘Fun - Fun – Fun’

So will you ‘Help me Rhonda’ as my mind begins to wander
To experience ‘Good Vibrations’ and amazing excitations

Here in sunny Eastbourne paradise beneath my nose
I wonder how much time is left, of course ‘God only Knows’

So as I walk along the prom and hum a Beach Boys surfing song
I know for sure I’m meant to be beside the sea where I belong

Written July 2018
whilst listening to the wonderful summer songs of the Beach Boys and the Royal Philharmonic

and inspired again after seeing them perform yesterday 24th June 2019 at the Royal Albert Hall, London - wow they still have it....
