I don't know when it happened,
But on that day it changed everything.
I realized I had hours missing.
I woke up in the morning and,
I have bruise's and cuts over my body.
I don't remember anything that happened.
I went into spy alert.
I had to find out what was happened.
I had strange thoughts and ideas,
That didn't make sense,
Nothing seem to fit.
So I set the alarm and went to bed.
I awake in the morning,
Relieved the alarm is still set,
Yet, more bruises and a deep cut.
I rewind the camera.
I just stare into the camera,
Not believing anything that I'm seeing.
Then in a lightning flash,
I am in a shiny suit as I see a man,
Who stands before me.
Sergeant Marvel, Are you ready?
Your mother is waiting.
I fall on the bed sitting unable to speak.
I continue staring as I see,
Myself and this man disappear.
I start yelling " Was someone,
Gonna tell me, I have a Mother and,
I'm the daughter of Captain Marvel."
She appears in front of me,
With tears in her eyes,
She tells me I wanted to protect.
This is why we're training you.
I could not lose you, Cassie.
I run into my Mom's arms , crying.
I'll never let you go, Cassie.
I will protect you until your ready.

Line of inquiry:
“to veil light we cloaked it in bliss
then intellect and lower mind
fused together as magnetism
in form where truth we seek to find”
***************
A lapidary epithet is thrown—
I shed the garment of the mirrors' gaze.
The adamantine echo mocking is known,
Where katabatic abyss may swallow maze.
A citrine pulse beats raw beneath the gown;
Phantosmia of forgotten rain is known—
On earth unopened, where the shadows drown,
By recognition, older than remembrance.
Where whimsey ceased its endless, dark harangue,
A single orchid lifts its silent throat—
Its sacrosanct sepals need no praise or clang,
As wisdom arrives, unargued and remote.
The hungry lower mind lays down its rod,
The higher mind drops waiting to be known.
Two rivers merge beneath a mighty God,
The hoary ouroboros yields its throne.
No longer self-devoured, a widening ring,
I drank transparency, not ecstasy—
Relieved at last from stained glass of the king,
The unhindered light breaks out—completely free.
It entered unoriginate, uncrowned,
Unannotated, asking to be seen.
No longer symbols, blossoms burst the ground—
The world’s own scripture, raw and epicene.
No grasping hand can hold the truth in place;
The fist that clutches only wears a glove.
The hand that opens finds a vacant space,
To hold the always-inviolate with love.
hello apple pie
with whipped cream i cannot lie
pure perfect silence is like saying 'mmmm' on high
she kisses me again because the quiet of the vibe is flavorful
she smiles me sweetly because the center of my respect in her eyes is favorful
powdered sugar is requested
the intended cream is bested
the river of surety is manifested
she blesses me with a gifted turn
i am so relieved that the overall warmth does not burn
this particular love she does not give, but i earn
the apple pie is forgotten
the focus is comfortably changed like soft cotton
we renew a revisioned, renewed ripeness once fully rotten

this how much Jesus wants us to forgive...
but how can we forgive
if the hurt or pain they caused us is:
a six feet under the ground depth
a hammer-like cyclic stigma of shame
a freezing fire agonizing the heart and mind?
Tears spill from the eyes
to drench or lessen the pain
yet, to some who aren't relieved
they chose to taste death
rather than pursuing life. . .
Offering the olive branch
of friendship, kindness and forgiveness
though it seems, hard to do so
this to invite peace
amidst chaos and misery caused by ill deeds.
And if in a way,
it is not returned
is forgetting a better option?
or should one keep trying--
for persistence a way to win restoration...?
Forgiving
is one of the famous battles
we humans face day by day
as it is between the head and heart
that sometimes these two even is in clash.
Anger, pain and pride
halt us from forgiving
yet, will we choose to sleep in these
be confined and contained in these
when there is a better choice
to let go and forgive?

All words and wonder, wobbling copper green
Foam and guano floating
In the sea cave’s lee
A flock of gannets raucous on a rocky pile
And the ever-growing echo as the men came by
Climbed from the boat
And dragged it from the water
Bare feet on painful pebbles relieved by sand
And, at the back of the cave, they dug on their knees
Scooping with their hands
A tiny purple phial was found, ancient and Phoenician
The granite stopper plucked
And, instead of a salty seaweed smell,
An oozing, resinous scent
From the darkness of consciousness
A rose and orange essence
Though not exactly a smell
Rather a panorama of far-off painted and planted secret messages
Kiss-kept by a woman
The tinkle of her bangles upon her wrists and ankles still
Echoed in the cave as if the lady was there
Her glancing eye gripped one cold
The press of her heel as she posed before dance
The burst of laughter with friends
Admiring her pencilled eyebrows and plum-blushed lips
Hips and elbows endearingly tipped
She leant forward and whispered into the traveller’s ear,
All words and wonder:
“Find me some ambergris and bring it to Arabia
Find me some ambergris to perfume my breasts
Find me some ambergris and bring it to my tent.”
She sometimes looked so cruel when angry
But she was always so beautiful when happy.
She was a little rebellious with life
But she made good concession all the times.
She was irritated with all her duties
But she would often make it run smooth.
She fussed, expecting more from him
But would finally rejoice in what she acquired.
She would fight me like a spoilt kid.
But she would look after me as usual.
She said she had too many kids
But would find her breathing space in some way.
She said she was not in the happiest home
But she would join in all the festivities.
She would taunt me like her rival
But I understood she was frustrated.
She recoils every time I want to help her
But I double my effort to please her.
She thought maternal love has robbed her
But would make effort to be a mother.
I love her for what she is and has been
But she says today I was the unwanted child!
Well...I'm relieved she said it finally
But I say : GOD BLESS HER...
Jasper’s tale of woe, he tended to completely embellish,
Until these stories got worrisomely-gruesome, some even hellish.
Agnes, his wife and he were no longer invited to parties, yours or mine.
His wife was relieved, but Jasper, the story-embellisher started to whine.
Maybe we need to be a bit more entertaining, she suggested.
So they began several new hobbies, neither one of them contested.
They learned yoga, and karate, and Agnes learned to play the kazoo.
He learned roller blading and hopscotch, and brought home a digeridoo.
They realized suddenly, after learning all these things, and without a whit of sadness,
To want to be friends with the dull neighbors on their block was simply a silly madness.
Oh my goodness! Did you see that???
A mousey riding on the back of a cat
Guess these guys have kissed and made up
Heard mousey yell “Hey! Giddy-up!”
Great to see them getting along so well
Mousey's relieved, as you probably can tell
Wearing a big grin from ear to ear
And Felix is enjoying it too, it appears
Remember this lesson from one time rivals
Really don't need conflict for survival
It's a whole lot better to laugh and have fun
Than face extinction at the point of a gun
So what did you learn from this little tale?
Enjoy yourself and drink lots of ale
You'll see little mousies and cats at play
Instead of killings on TV every day!

By morning, I could feel the first hints of warm air,
Relieved I took my bath and dressed for work.
There was no music in the block of flats,
But in my head rumbled a hundred old time songs
That tantalized me into a stupor of great expectancy.
Down stairs, near the elevator, was an old woman.
I was shocked to see her on a wheelchair, eyes vacant.
The landlord smiled at me and told me not to worry.
Seems Angelique was to be taken to some rest home.
Her mother just wanted to see that the upstairs
Apartment was in perfect state for the living.
Disappointed at the name I left for work later for my groceries.
Back home I concocted some pasta and cooked the sauce,
Opened my favourite bottle of red wine to drown my sorrows.
Silence reigned supreme and I felt rather annoyed.
So I betook myself to sleep hoping at least to dream.
The phone rang and a dulcet voice asked for me.
She had arrived late and had got nothing prepared for her meal.
Could I take something good for her to eat?
So I put on my track suit and with little or no enthusiasm
Went upstairs with some pasta left over and some wine.
That would be enough I thought, but the mother
Was old enough and should have known better.
Mother? The girl that opened the door was young enough.
A nymph that beckoned me in, in the warm atmosphere,
Balsamic perfume that inundated the cosy apartment,
Low magic music swirled and vibrated everywhere.
My name is Angel she tenderly smiled, shall we dance?
I felt the warmth of her; felt her arms and the dance began.
It did not take long to become lost in her euphoric bliss.
And our lips met, again and again as our hearts beat as one……….
You want to know the end?
We lived happily ever after…….
As all fairy tales should…..
A loud whooshing came quickly upon me
I did not have to turn to know he was there
He has been able to invade my body since I was little
I had not seen him for years, but recognized him instantly.
My hands began itching to put themselves around another throat.
I have not had the urge to kill for many seasons, yet here she was.
Back in my gray matter, insistent and persistent.
I telephoned my closest friend to come over for a visit.
If I am going to murder again, it must at least be someone I like.
It feels better after a kill if I know what I have completely squelched.
I heard the demon laughing, right before I blacked out.
I feel relieved to not know what my hands do during these kills.
It is bad enough when the demon wakes me to clean up the mess.
“I’ll be right over,” my friend said, not realizing to whom she was speaking.
