Treating each day as the Sovereign Lord’s wondrous gift
Indeed propels heart for blest triumphant uplift
Toward joyous task-fulfillment midst time so swift
Smiting slothfulness blight.
Finding significance in simple pleasure
Like child’s mirth that exuberance-price can’t measure
Along smiles of cheers with delightful care treasure
Can prosper wellness flight.
Staying jubilant is my prayerful choice
By God’s grace, striving that In Him I do rejoice*
Conquering hypocrisy and selfishness noise
Such is my spirit’s plight.
Overcoming gloom attack by gratitude shout
My faith in Christ of vibrant service rules out doubt
To glow with worship praises against haughty pout
Radiating love’s light!
*Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Somewhat spoken;
Smolding
Broken
For I speak life I am whole
Not Broken BROKEN
I know we are not broken
Yet there were moments Walking on the space covered ground Bronze Sand speckled dust every blade of grass on the black and brown darkened land strips in pieces
I KNOW WE ARE NOT BROKEN
People looking through windows that are dirty and smudged . Hoping to find beauty looking out but yet feeling love. While within failing decision distinct the strange cracked ravished blood shot eyes. Complicated other feelings they remain hoping
Somewhat spoken;
Smolding
Broken
For I speak life I am whole
Not I busted, I am whole
I KNOW WE ARE NOT BROKEN
Hopeless sporadic static feelings Hardin concrete parts cauliflower mushed brain mind reeling. The brain ?? thinks about happy thoughts
I know we ARE NOT BROKEN
Feeling life frozen inwardly disposing emotional roller coaster savoring ups and downs righteously a boating abounding feelings of ?? broken
I know
WE ARE NOT BROKEN
Somewhat spoken;
Smolding
Broken
For I speak life I am whole
Not I busted, I am whole
You have not cause you ask not.
Deceiving yourself.
Rejoice once sadden ? Heart
You're welcomed given daily breaths
I must admit sometime in life we are longitude held down by gravity Wearing a frown but I refocus I contest I'm favorably blessed.Just in instant just a second like a vase falling on the ground broken I speak life until myself I am presently whole this I have spoken
I NO
WE ARE NOT BROKEN
No more you nor I
Neither fell, no falling
We stand raised eyes, heart, arms and hands
No more broken...
We are WHOLE SPOKEN
WE ARE NOT ?? BROKEN

Praise God for whom all blessings flow

by James Edward Lee Sr 2024
a Dramatic Monologue verse
Everybody’s looking for Christ
Everybody wants salvation
And everybody pays a price
For the bigger situation
Everybody tries to conceive
Of a Paradise somewhere –
It’s at the end of history –
Or it’s way up high in the air
For some, the Kingdom is near
For some, the City is far
Some want their banquet right here
Some envision it beyond the stars
Everybody wants to end pain
Everybody wants to rejoice
A plan, reasonable and inhumane
That speaks to the inner voice
Everybody yearns to believe
That everybody’s equal and free –
The diversity of the leaves –
The solidarity of the tree
For some, the Kingdom is near
Everybody would rebel
Against a prison after birth
Be it the cauldron of Hell
Or the rusted factory of Earth
Everybody craves to receive
The body and the blood of man
Either dished out by a priest
Or exacted by a politician
‘Cause for some, the Kingdom is near
While for some, the City is far
Some want their banquet right here
And some envision it beyond the stars.

And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”
But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
Luke 12:19-20
Revival in Late Winter
Goodbye evening stroll under leafy laze,
the repast is gone.
A communion feast, unbridled; the bride,
exquisite; a swan.
Draw hither to praise, dulcet and heartfelt;
humble chorale rejoice.
The nights last four moons long - joyous reborns’
one vivacious voice.
Christ’s train fills the sanctuary; approach,
don’t back up, come near.
With anointing of the Holy Spirit,
there’s nothing to fear.
Revival in late Winter, with no snow,
so spring to your feet.
Clap your hands, open and dim your eyes; see
light without retreat.
Though Sundays will linger, through precious days,
we’re blessed; the roof, raise.
The boundary lines draw out a pleasant place;
The grass is always greener where you are.
By day your word provides the sweetest taste;
By night when I lie down, you're never far.
With you at my right hand and in control,
Secure, my heart is glad and I rejoice.
For you will not abandon me to Sheol;
Blessed is the sheep who knows his shepherd's voice.
But when my eyes perceive a far off place,
And cause my heart to wander, feet to roam,
By steps and turns, you help me to retrace;
By whisperings, you softly call me home.
Lord, keep me in your tether, at your side,
And joyful in your presence, I'll abide.
(from Psalm 16)
Peace and unity sing in harmony, echoing worldwide,
When acts of humility replace revenge-infused pride,
When narrowness of mind, naked ambitions subside,
When nations of goodwill, stand together side-by-side.
No inconsolable tears, flooding grief in mothers’ eyes,
No gloomy dawns rise, in smoke of war on sunny skies,
Clamors of hungry, displaced souls, no longer agonize;
No more shattered dreams, buried alive, to eulogize.
Nothingness ceases to vacate sanctity of self-esteem,
Children now rejoice, reminiscing in Cinderella-dream,
Vying bliss of tranquil, endearments of amity redeem,
Discarding ill will, shrieking from yore of vicious regime.
Hiroshima, Nagasaki—echoes of sad, remorseful past,
Resonate horror and shock, from memories aghast;
A world without war, a wish too far, yet close to heart,
Achievable when covenants of life don’t keep us apart.
Dignity of humanity ranks supreme, as priorities change,
Nations engage in educational and cultural exchange,
Farms and factories hum, ensuring hunger is eliminated
As peace and unity toll, from hearts and minds elated.
ICECREAM
Recollecting childhood memories
of scarlet red strawberries
still I rejoice to voice my story,
I will narrate slowly not in hurry,
while I could relish a dish of icecream
daily at afternoon not in dream
but a story of real theme.
Those enjoyable holidays spent with Grandma
where Greenery was the panorama,
At her place my snack at afternoon was fixed
as a dish full icecream mixed
with pieces of strawberries
in series
fresh from her garden.
not from Sweden.
Sweet taste buds of my tongue too eager to lick,
also to pick
pieces of strawberries one by one.
while watching sinking Sun.
Juicy delicious
most precious
beverage for a girl of nine:
Icecream and strawberries combined.

Icecream
Contest by Julia Ward
Surprising me, visitor came
with no appointment to exclaim
declaring "I am not to blame"
"unplanned meetings marked my great fame."
My visitor made me rejoice
with good news of achievement poise
affirming that one's biggest choice
is to keep using freedom-voice.
Friend of mine during high school times
narrated events as sweet chimes
including teen-age walks and climbs
as well as our loud chanting rhymes.
Sharing wondrous friendship delight
highlighted surprise-visit flight
full of caring partnership height
midst pleasant reminiscing might.
Thanking her surprise visit's cheer
I praise God for friendship so dear
expressing love though mixed with tear
as friends*--- though far still say, "I'm here."
*Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times…

To what do I owe this fear
The feeling of God coming too near
No shadows or footsteps or voices appear
Just little places and thoughts made clear
Yet day after day looking to find
What I find everyday that little sign
Sometimes I surrender to that I pine
Jumping with glory after His being kind
But still I fear hearing that voice
Knowing what I know now is it my choice
It's undiscovered if I would fear or rejoice
Sometimes I wonder if His mischief is boist
I see the world around me crumbling fast
Yet my Bible says This is'nt the last
I never think of the economy or if it crash
My interest lye in history to some the ancient past
Scriptures have a way of coming to life
Predicting the future was a Prophets way of strife
God has His chosen, The Groom has a Wife
Is the wedding over was there any requite
Or could God be thinking over
What to do with my life
Are little signs a calling To God and his might
When does seeing God beholding a Holy Light
Or asking His request with in reach of your sight
When will I finally see It's the best thing in my life
When will i ever find that Gods voice is His right
