Premium Member Yearn Not For the Ships That Sailed

Applauding sun’s halo~ inspiring, rewarding,
Mindfully I rise with the ebullient awakening
Letting soul enliven while robins are singing
And horizon crimson glimmers in dawning.

I hold time still for the blossoms of spring,
Rivers that burble sprucing green prairies
And blue tides bouncing summer’s revelry
And resplendent dazzle of autumnal leaves.

Every memento of love I treasure in delight,
In embrace of family, I cheer life sublime
Rejoicing when I sense success in their eyes
Celebrating milestones of things done right.

Realizing I own a mere fraction of eternity
Elated I feel holding just a speck of infinity
Succeeding more often than failing or quitting
Coping resolutely with poor hand of destiny.

I shun nightmares, choosing dreams of night
Lifting troubled mind when grief occupies,
When darkness rules, I invoke moonlit skies
And paint on visage of hope blissful smiles.

I yearn not for the ships that already sailed,
Regret not having tried the conquests I failed,
But I chase prospects of aspirations deferred
Yet, remain focused on things that matter.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 of the King James Bible

Assuring way to heavenly route
Bible Scriptures give exhortation, no doubt
Calling for all to follow the Saviour against evil clout
Directing everyone from selfishness and arrogance-bout.

Exposing way for perfect choice
Fueling faith that propels trust-propped poise
God through His compassion leads us to rejoice
Hoisting toward redemption hope from hell’s noise.

Instructing way with truth sign
Jesus Christ said, “I am the way…” that’s divine
Keeping us safe as His branches, since He is the vine
Leading our steps forward, journeying upon goodness’ line.

Marching onward way of light
Nurtured hearts practice kindness’ might
Optimizing love with sharing and giving delight
Peacefully reaching-out along sincere prayer flight
Quitting to walk downward exits that show confusion-blight.

Right way for destined goal
Securing eternal life of freedom whole
Triumphant Lord transforms sin-imprisoned soul
Unchaining by pardon’s inward and outward sanctifying role.

Victorious way*, verily blest
Winner’s path is best with holy warning’s zest
Xenial yon Xanadu to enjoy godly fellowship crest…
Yes to Yahweh’s avenue despite great challenging test
Zooming zealously upward Zion’s zenith for glorious rest.

*Psalm 25:8-9 "Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way."

Life Layoff

I feel like I’m just floating through time like every moment exists on some line. déjà vu is just a tear in the thread that’s holding seconds collectively storing lifetimes from the beginning to the present. Like every single thing is accounted for on someone's bulletin board. Each tragedy, catastrophe, blessing, and new planet-finding, was all planned, and marked on a calendar in the office of the ruler of man. Aka the universe’s manager, God likely is his name. In charge of all the unplanned life layoffs constantly but he is always reassuring us to continue worshiping even if no immediate payment is received. In a beautiful building through a man of flesh and bone, he reassures us we have a place in his home when our timelines come to an end, on their own. Not by quitting, but working until life excuses you and your retirement from him is paid 10folds onto you, with a package of deliverance because you ran until the end of a line, that someone laid before you. Hoping and rooting for you, but knowing everything that is going to happen to you, all the sins that will tempt you, he still gave you the power of choice to choose what is the right thing to do during the line of time, he has lent to me and you.

Smile when you think of me let no tears fall
Stop before you text me and please don't call
Even if I love you and even if you love me
Sometimes love is too blind to ever see

I buried you deep in my heart, a smoldering ember
I locked your memory in a box trying not to remember
And I pray you are happy with someone new
But no matter how I try I just can't forget you

When you are troubled and weary think of me
When this big old world is a little scary think of me
When you think of quitting and giving in
Remember I love you and am your friend

We are destine to love one another from afar
Wishing down payments of dreams upon a star
Hoping the future will find us together somehow
Please be happy my love, show the world your beautiful smile

Knight In the Night

The knight in the night fighting off the darkness
A battle to the ultimate submission
Swords aim to cut the opposition deeply
No words spoken, very little transmission

A fierce competition between unafraid warriors
Quitting is not an option for the brave at heart
One on one, the fight seeks no promotion
Darkness proclaimed victory from the very start

Constant banging of weaponry with no signs of stalemate
Dread is on the side of darkness, light resides in the knight
The faith of the world in the balance of two entities
This is what it has come down to, a scurmish, a street fight

Abounding in seemingly infinite activities for actualization
Bards are we, bestowed with busyness beyond poetry writing’s best
Chores of caring await like being coaches, cheerers, counselors
Duty-bound, we can do these or that and such with diligence…

Earnest in our roles as parents and family members, ever-endearing
Fulfilling entrusted assignments along faithfulness fortitude
Guards, governors, guides … glowing in goodness
Helping, healing, hoisting hearts upon hope’s herald…

Influencing against impossibility’s impact
Joy-sharers while journeying with jubilation
Kindness’ sowers, as well as instructors of knowledge
Loving, leading, learning along the light…

Managers, merchandisers, or ministers
Nourishing talents and gifts, knocking off negligence
Open to development opportunities
Planting, praying, pursuing toward prosperity
Quitting not to live in contentment’s quietude…

Reconciliators or reconcilers, rejoicing for relationship restoration
Singers or perhaps speech makers, truth --- spreading
Triumphantly testifying with thanksgiving*
Upholders of righteousness in our undertakings
Voicing out vigilantly against violence…

Worshipers while watchers of grand children (soon) ... wisely
Xylophone players maybe, while basking under bliss of xanadu
Yearning for yields with strength of youthfulness
Zealously we zoom to accomplish much midst passionate zest.

*2Corinthians 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

"Double Abecedarian" with the 26 lines' first and last words beginning letters from A to Z, amidst internal alliteration

Premium Member The Hunt

All at once I understood
Because I heard the sound
Coming from the distant woods
Dogs yapping just like hounds

Endless barking on the path
Fearlessly chasing prey
Guided by no words or math
Howling to show the way

I could not help but wonder
Just how this chase would end
Keeping hope that no blunder
Listening with my friend

Mighty canines came in sight
Not one was resting still
One path only would be right
Perhaps their fate to seal

Quitting was not thought of now
Resting would not be sought
Simple instincts show us how
The troubled victim’s caught

Under thick, and captured quick
Victim of the tracking
Wounded dogs begin to lick
Xenial copse lacking

You know now the race is done
Zapped, resting in the sun

I HATE THAT I AM LONELY

Just when I'm about to get used,
I become confused
What would be an adaptation
Stays with me as my only consolation
Loneliness is a killer
Like a horror in a thriller
I want them,they don't want me
I don't want them,they want me
Surviving has become a hustle
I get tossed around,like in a circle.

Maybe,I'm yet to accept the fact
But it's impossible when I'm still trapped
Fixing myeself,fighting my battles
Inspiring myself,more like turtles.
Don't say you need me,that you want me
I'd reciprocate only if I were free.
I'm the black sheep in riddles
The sweet vinegar soaking pickels;
The more I appear, the less you see me
You want to meet me always where I can not be.

Earth is hard
Life is sad
To death,I'd give in for adoption
But quitting has never been a better option
Maybe,I should be like them
Them, to whom change is a game.
Maybe,I should take in my fate
It will never be real if I play it fake.
Loneliness is a killer
Link Me up with the healer.

Surpass Your Limits

I'm surpassing my limits imagine the vision,
Of grasping intentions to master existence,
A savage I've witnessed bedazzled by gimmicks,
I laugh but I meant this I ask for forgiveness,
My past interventions were passion resentments,
Relapsing and quitting soul nagging from interest,
So sad had to end this what I had is not a friendship,
My mask being lifted surpassing my limits,
Within found a Light there my Savior waiting right there,
As I prayed to It found a way to It cause ego never fights fair,
It's my only weapon in Spirit small voice at times I can't hear it,
But It told me to not fear It just persevere and come near It,
With one step I start coming to a slow jog now I'm running,
Can't procrastinate cause I want It with fascination I'm hunting,
My imagination undaunted to face the demons that haunt it,
With a small knot in my stomach surpass my limits I'm coming!

Young and Hopeful Africa

Africa, you are young through us today
No one intends to miss you to frown
Your day’s today for the world to watch
An amazing day God made us fetch

Africa, young and hopeful when heads meet
In Jinja, the Nile flows; here the world is to feed
For coloured thoughts were nurtured for days
On quitting the quagmire of woe for centuries

Africa, this is a great day, and no one is excluded
People have come committedly unexhausted
Focused on African field evidence to ensnare
This is the time for the experiences to share

Africa, this is the day we have waited for
We’d been working hard in unison under a mentor
For shunning quandaries, today happily we deliver
Ground facts for self-reliance and empowerment we offer

Africa, this is the day your women will smile,
Your sons and daughters will understand,
That they have been sleepless for a cause.
That they’re a family with a vision to applause.

Africa, with a universally well-known identity
Uganda is proud of us, African hopeful children.
Jinja's expectant; she'll add us on her History list
For our feet have stamped her green land
The future is ours; smiles are on our faces.
