Standing here in the mind of mine
passing through and over time
pulling out thoughts sublime:
sorrow, hate, pain, joy, love, sanity--
all the mould character of my humanity;

On the outside, my African character is evident
despite the imprinted middle passage incident,
and on the inside, I'm American born and bred...
child of the black bent backs of the ancestral dead...
still here in the land of the other misnamed: called red;

Memories are like a flowing meadow's storied river;
meandering, undulating, and splashing out to sea,
seeking to reunite with and become one with the Giver
who moulded us all...making you and creating me.

N*****, slave, coloured, *****, African-American,
is what they chose then and now to call mine and me
but like the river flowing to the sea, I'll decide who to be
here in the land of the Brave, I'll be an Ameri-African man;
not your beast of burden slave—sweat and blood for the land.

Africa is...America is...and I am of no need
of an explanation;
standing in the life-long memories of the nature
of my exploitation,
and realizing I no longer need to be a footnote*
in his story
but a complete sentence in the boldface truth
of our story!

*Imagine this for me: if I was them and they were us and I did to them what they did to us, would that not be reciprocity from the tinted true tribe of the exodus?

Beginning to End

As the Old Era ends,
I send a message to a friend,
Mending fences in your head,
Instead of rebelling and yelling,
Start selling yourself truth,
Your youth will create your future,
A suture to a wound,
Sonn to be opened,
I'm hoping you find this,
Witness all the goodness you see,
It came from me believing me,
Receiving the information I need,
Achieving my own form of mastery,
I'm a mystery to most,
A host to children of God,
Prodding deeper into the core,
Pulling out more,
Restoring your memory,
Embers of who you use to be,
Choosing to shine brightly,
Unsightly events may befall you,
View it through new eyes,
Don't react,
Interact,
Rise,
Into your true version,
A universal conversation,
The union of the nations,
Tuning to a high vibration,
Watch how the station changes,
As your world rearranges,
Exchanging the energy you give,
Living vicariously through you,
Giving the permission,
To continue the mission,
Love is in 1st position,
Above all opposition,
Transition into a new way of being,
Seeing the value everyone is bringing.

"ride the rainbow, crack the sky, Stormbringer coming, time to die", from Stormbringer, sung by Glenn Hughes

Forget your worries, forget your sorrow.
To Stormbringer, you're a dead ringer
For someone who won't be here tomorrow.

He's coming for you, and he's coming for me.
He's kind of like the grim reaper,
But he wields a mean sword - that's Stormy.

Each one has his time, ours will be comin' soon.
Praying on your knees won't help you.
Bay like a dog to the moon.

It's ashes to ashes, dust to dust, buddy.
If I were you (I'm just sayin'),
I'd throw myself in the big muddy.

He is coming as CO2 and methane.
He's got plenty to go around -
Bringing misery, bringing pain.

You better think about pulling out all the stops.
You oughter, before there's no water -
Shoulda planted drought resistant crops.

I'm pretty sure, we'll all be hunting for scraps.
All the pretty ice sure built up nice,
But the Greenland ice sheet will collapse.

You like anemones, sponges and starfish?
Sit and sigh, as the coral reefs die,
Maybe, upon a star you can wish.

Recall that rainforest in the Amazon?
Stormbringer, for profit, will wring 'er.
Look out your window, and she'll be gone.

The Gulf Stream collapse, too, will be coming soon.
"Well, there goes civilization",
Shouts Stormbringer from his weather balloon.

Ol' Stormbringer's bringing us a living hell.
Mother earth will enjoy a rebirth,
But will mankind do quite as well?

A Valentines Verse For Hallie

I wanted to pen this verse in solidarity to the universe but my heart would not allow me until I am released from the chains that bound me. The open door with its vacant room wrapped around me at noon while the sweltering heat penetrates my body squeezing water out of my skin and pours it into a bucket.

I felt a sudden burden dragging over me and my heart running a marathon through the woods jumping from tree to tree in the rising temperature over a hundred degree and blocks of concrete covers me. I see people moving around with big boat on top of their head and the cars racing up the hill looking for some daffodils.

I waited patiently for the call but instead I heard a brawl and the dog biting stones in the middle of the road and the story is yet to unfold. I could not help but holding back the tears, it is the longing that is curled up in my stomach and wilderness that surrounds me and pulling out my breath and the majestic voice from above keeps directing traffic all over the town.

A strange noise enters the town running around in a strange gown and the birds start flying to and fro looking for a special place to go. It suddenly came across that today is Saint Valentine’s Day. The people dressed in red and white holding on to their man, gallivanting up and down the street rubbing their hands and whispering an old song. A song that was out of beat and was very hard to compete.

The children ran about the school yard showing off their red and white valentine’s color with big red bow placed upon their head while destiny waits patiently in their bed. They were apart of the show but they did not know which way go, they kept up their pranks until they lost their right hand.

I see something far beyond the horizon, something that someone cannot see and it is walking slowly towards me. I Just wanted recapture the normalcy in life again but the clouds kept rolling about and the ambulance and the fire engine starts to shout and for the first time I saw you standing beneath the clouds with a fixed smile on your face looking at me and I looked at you and say Just one more time, I will wait to see if you are mine, just one more time I will give you time to say that you are mine.

Raging Ubri

While riding down a dark roads Satan tried to intervene and capture your soul, Little did he know when he tried to take you from us that you were designed with a solid body and a Warriors Soul.

Although you were battered and bruised that still didn't stop you from trying to push yourself up off ground, pulling out I.V drips refusing to lay down.

While under heavy sedation the Almighty guided the hands of the surgeons to repair you internally so that you may rise and roam with us again laughing in the devils face making him frown.

You're a Man full of humor yet a fighter at your core, A Father to your Children, A true friend to many and loved by all, In this definite time of need your Most Wanted Family will make sure that recuperate with peaceful ease not letting you crumble and fall.

Heal with speed Alex Rage Ubri.

A Real Gender Bender

I drove on down to the grocery store
to buy myself some meat
milk and eggs and veggies
And variety of treats

When I pulled into the parking space
She was pulling out
I quickly rolled my window down
and gave a little shout

Well, she may have stopped in time
to save my poor car's fender
But what took place, after that
Was a real Gender Bender

When she got out of her car
I notice she was tall
And nothing about this lady
Would I describe as small

But a sexy hot potato
Blond hair blue eyes an all
Boobs, Butt, a nice tight waste
She could strut it all

With the flutter of her eyes
and a pucker of her lips
she strolled on over to me
hypnotizing, with her hips

As she bent down to my window
Her cleavage made me sigh
I had a feelin', of gettin' "Lucky"
'Till "HE" punched me in the eye

Dragons Dance
Come on kids and step inside
Let's see the dragon through sober eyes
That one little bump and your body sinks
My claws are now in you more than you think.
Deeper and deeper the webs I spin
The endless black hole your sucked right in.
Scraping your veins I've taken over your mind. Now every thing you do its me you try to find.
Shaking, sweating ,trembling with fear.I've clouded your mind so you can't think clear.
Nauseous and angry mostly un self-aware, punching the walls and pulling out your own hair.
I've created an itch that is deep inside
Very few people have come out alive
The ones that have I stalk every day
Trying to temped them back into my haze
Never dance with me or let me inside
    It's like Russian roulette
          chances are you'll die

This Little Heart

This little heart has led me in all the wrong directions.
They tell me to follow it.
But should I?
Should I risk it?
Even if it is a horrible idea.
Its nearly pulling out of my chest.
I can’t love her.
I can’t love her.
Because her beautiful smile would fade,
And her bright laugh would dull,
And I would ruin her.
But this little heart has led me in all the wrong directions.
And once more she crosses my mind.
She reminds me of a lifeboat,
Floating in the chaos,
Calming yet exhilarating,
Savior and solitude all together.
How could she ever love me?
This little heart has led me in all the wrong directions.
The leaves fall, the temperature drops and it continues.
Months on months, and she fills my head.
Like a lifeboat on the horizon she is all I can think of.
Reaching her is the first real gulp of air,
In what feels like centuries.
And somehow it seems this little heart has led me in the right direction.

0 Dollars

Currently there isn't a price on all the things That I love.
Depending on the situation I still check my pockets.
The places I go I am not use to exiting without pulling out my wallet.
Though it's not much, the minimum amount of your time provides the same thrill.
It's hard to disagree with a good heart.
Our opinions may be different but it's decent.
Our life evolving into deep quotations.
The revolution against cash registers everywhere has begun.
The clinginess of change and dollar bills.
Slices of our time stuffed and slid into the opening of each others mouth.
The trouble with that is we choose to label everything with price.
Ignoring common sense for cents.
I ignore my pockets whenever you are around as nothing of value can be found there.
I tread softly as more of your time creates more currency.
And I can't jeopardize losing that.
There isn't a career that can fill my wallet like you fill my heart.
No time clock anywhere that could justify.
Come tax time you are my greatest asset.
Come payday you are the currency I seek

Shadow On Trail

Collapsing inwards,
Been someone else outwards,
That’s who he desires to be,
Someone he wants others to see,
He’s fame-hunger stricken,
His coast he intends to widen,
He craves to be the cynosure of all eyes,
Life out of the limelight he deems unwise.

The charlatan's song,
A song of hope on wheels,
The charlatan's gong,
Loud it sounds but none he feels,
An emptiness resides within,
A journey with no destination in sight,
His unheroic acts are sitting,
Taking a place on an ivory tower height.

He’s revisiting his handiwork,
Pulling out the unfired bricks from his stonework.
