Nut-Ricious Nutty Poetry

Most people go bananas
over chocolate
I'm well nuts about nuts
as well
Stuff them in chocolate
ice-cream or sherbet.

Yeah munch on peanuts
brunch on hazelnuts
Ah lunch on pecan nuts
or crunch on chestnuts

For nuts could never
drive one nuts
Ironically nutters
perhaps never ate them
A nutcase perhaps never
pried open
a nut from its case
as nuts could never ever
fall from grace
Any nut brown eyes
shouldn't miss them.

Nuts are an anytime
anywhere snack
Do travel with 'em' in
your backpack

Savour the taste of
salted groundnuts or
roasted peanuts
I even see locals munch
on round kola nuts.

Western walnuts are
tasty too
and acorns ain't just for
squirrels
 in forests or the zoo

Enjoy the crunchy East
African cashews
Snack on slivered Indian
almonds
or even Persian
pistachios

Ahem well rhyming this
poem
was sure quite a tough
nut to crack ;)
Rhyming was tough for
this nutty crunchy snack

Besides there's so many
of them
I can't just put em' all in
a nutshell
I can only hope and wish
you enjoy
this nutty tale I tell.

But I do hope to have
offered all the nuts and
bolts on nut variety
And now nothing else
can rhyme here
except its creator the
Almighty

And this poem be as well
for all poetry nuts
for don't all of you poets
have such poetic guts?

A word in caveat now,
yeah go on crack those
nuts
but take care not to
crack your canines
Pray protect your pearly
whites
Your very own precious
stalactites
those right inside your
facial cave mines
and lest with cavity
holes you whine.

Premium Member Buzzards and Flamingos

When winter months become morose
And everything around is blue and froze
Gets disheartening even for the eskimos
Their morale starts to dwindle and decompose

They tread most lightly on cautious tippytoes
For fear their neighbors will become bellicose
They bite their tongue rather than use such prose
As ‘up your nose, my friend, with a rubber hose’

It is uplifting to dream of colorful scenarios
Any warm place where the blazing sun glows
Where the desert air gently blows
While ocean waves roll in sultry rows

All agree a trip down south would be most grandiose
Trading bikinis for their parka and heavy winter clothes
By pools they’d feign being divinely comatose
Drink in hand adopting the hot vacation pose

Stretched out on their hammocks eating pistachios
Laying back being busy counting colored rainbows
Hey CabanaBoy we’d truly really hate to impose
But would you please massage us from our head to our toes

Before their fair skin burns and redness undergoes
They all head back to their respective bungalows
Wondering should they dress go catch one of the shows
Or rest in bed before calling on one of the local rodeos

While visiting the souvenir shop one decides to propose
To send home a postcard showing tropical buzzards and flamingos
With a heartfelt message that needs not be verbose
For sure they’ll be the envy of both our friends and foes

Jif Is a Terrorist! Skippy Was Only a Patsy!

-In 2008, a massive recall of peanuts thought to be contaminated with bacteria occured. Not
very many people became ill, and only twenty percent of those that did were hospitalized.
Only a handful died. It was a media frenzy.-

Did you know?
Did You hear?

The tree nuts and peanuts have grown to sentience,
no longer willing to live beneath a primate jack-boot they have
armed themselves. They have
made a resolve.
Jihad!

Now they terror-bomb their opressors, strapping
ecoli and salmonella to their bodies and dying as heroes of the cause.

Now they strike their targets without discrimination, for
they are malicious little legumes, enemies
of red blooded A-mericans everywhere.

Never doubt their skill or persistant nature, or you could be next!
Yes, you!
Struck dead in your own home by these dangerous fundamentalists who are
intolerant by their very nature.

Now
they align themselves with pistachios and raw eggs, and
they plot their next series of attacks in their
cupboard terror-den caves.

Periodically, they
release threatening videos to fox news, declaring an
allout war on the morbidly obese. I for one
am terrified.

And there's more. Their
Leader, "Mr. Peanut" is pure evil in a monocle, tophat
spats and a cane. He smiles with
malevolence at the running camcorder, where he vows to
destroy all the rotund infidels, and all who
violate his brothers in arms whom cower on supermarket shelves.

He joins the league of the oldest continuous civilization
and keeps three out of every five of the globe’s underground crude.
Typified by a way of life resting on three luxurious pillows
and the system of most of its homes void of tables and chairs.

But a little cruel, he is to his helpless womb bearers
as is he alongside three other friends a leading trader of trafficking sex
with a sharp increase in the number of children
becoming part of its service providers in recent times
confirming his reputation as one of the worst hands for a girl to be born.

His exotic pride lies on the rare breed of the Persian Cat
popularly known to promote and boost the gender-change operation,
as he is also crowned “the nose-job capital of the world”.
In cavier, pistachios and saffron, he is a competing global producer;
having the only condom merchandise factory in the entire middle east.

He converts his plague of over a million foreign refugees
into sustainable development built on cheap labour.
Carpet exportation uniquely sits second in his earnings
and finds a miracle food in his special Persian milk.
“Paradise” was coined from a word of his mouth
and poetry epitomizes the beauty of the cultural heritage;
of his identity which was a one time world power and spreading empire.

What's For Dinner?

There's ketchup in my veins,
Onions for my eyes,
Lettuce instead of brains
Makes me less than wise

Stringbeans for legs,
Cauliflower ears,
Pistachios for muscles,
Greener than Irish beers

Feet than seem like melons,
Hands like baked pork chops,
Hair like thin spaghetti
Tears like lemon-drops

I try to avoid dogs,
They seem to follow me,
Eager to take a bite
Lunch is what they see

I stay out of restaurants
Where chefs approach too close
All they see is a new recipe
A brand new type of roast

My neighbors are all cannibals
They invite me over to dine
They look at me hungrily
And try to match a wine

Seems I am the main course
Humongous pots they own
Boiling water and vegetable
They mix with greatest glee
Ask me if I'd like a warm bath
But now I began to see
Them licking their lips
In eager anticipation of my offered "bath"
It started getting easier
For me to do the math...

I put two and two together
And I was Sunday lunch,
This I was fairly sure of,
Seemed more than just a hunch

I said I couldn't join them,
I had a poisonous rash
Saw my opportunity,
And made my fastest dash

Now I order home delivery
Get my groceries through
a large slot in the door,
And as far as dining out
is concerned,
I'll never do no more.
