Not going to pretend it
I've been feeling rejected
And disrespected
Nothing I said and did
Was effective
Time I take a sedative
Or maybe 10 of them
Was fine one minute then out the next second
THC, pharmaceuticals and alcohol ingested
For the pain, but it doesn't end it
Until it all really sets in
And I'm in another dimension
Where there's no depression
I guess it's
Kind of like a respite
But then reality sets in
Continually tested
And tempted
Many nights I never rested
I've been disoriented
Don't know what direction I'm headed
But I shall not be bested
Or subjected
To anything wretched
I got to be intrepid
Getting wiser and improving methods
So there won't be no crash or wreckage
According to legends
And first hand accounts from veterans
I don't think you get the message
They talk of being destined
And how it can be manifested
Getting closer to the exit
One day it all will have ended
Whether or not, it was unexpected
Might not make it to being old and decrepit
And just may die alone, with no friendships
My nephew dyslexic
And this girl I know, is anorexic
In a world so hectic
It'll break you down, if you let it
Turning into something unpleasant
Whether your an adult or adolescent
No longer very majestic
It's becoming pathetic
I'm tired of being authentic and poetic
As well as what trended
And is recommended
Regardless, they're never going to give credit
Later on or in the present
The Next Hitler
The next Hitler will execute the world’s masses,
Using costly powerful pharmaceuticals;
Feel-good grenades that bring euphoric explosions.
Metal bombs and bullets belong to a former age,
An old-school time when murder was expensive.
Whereas confining thousands of prisoners in camps,
Well, that is certainly not cost-effective either.
Food to feed these worthless ones
Requires a fortune in gold.
Best to leave the stressed masses alone,
Let them work for pitiful wages.
Let them toil and suffer as animals in barren times.
We will sit back and watch, and wait,
As they slide into addiction’s vagina,
Unable to think, move or breathe.
growing up
my body
stopped
sane brain
chemicals
that are in
others naturally
passed by me
completely
stopped
reflecting
because
not absorb
ing i've been
reflecting
lately on
my childhood
and misunderstood
of who i was or would
become
so many factors
in making a fact
ory made human
being by being
programmed
without yet
within but not
knowing what
is missing and
so i grew up
a short history
no mystery of
what i've be
come since Mum was
always randomly turn
ing the radio dial of
reality so we grew
knowing and knew
all styles and forms
but adding more
my Dad military sworn
dictated discipline but
also liberalism since
he was an artist of many
sorts and banned books
were in our library
paint was freely fingered
for feel and application
no matter what our
family's destination
on the move from
place to place
always some
thing new to see and
taste leaving a mind
open that had already
been cracked i look
back and remember
what doctor's didn't
know then
so now here i am
in the here and now
thinking i'm a free
thinker but as music
plays continuously
in my elevator mind
i'm going up and or
down without a
ground wire
so now i am
a brain in a b movie
beaker keeping
kept in bodily
form from turning
Virginia Woolf or
Platt or perhaps
Hemingway since
i'm a man so can
relate but too late
my psychiatrist
and i have found
a proper balance
in mind meaning
my mind for what
was not provided
for if so Darwin
would have had me
extinct by now not
able or capable
to survive
so pharmaceuticals
balance my attitude
and keep me alive
then after years of
song singing i was
being bored
by the musical form
so changed my mind
to my university degree
i had for all time
then i knew not
by chance but
a strictly not
happenstance
when you were
introduced to
me, i, like a junkie
had the fix and
like an election
my votes are all in
and as i A D D
i simply need sleep
and
another
dose of
you

The Visitor from Outerspace came down from the Cosmos.
He'd been traveling in a glittery saucer.
Decided to drop in on Earth to take a look.
Wondered if he could learn something new
Or give some help to humanity.
He represented a highly technological community!
His fellow space-beings had good tips for humankind.
On technology and all sorts of life-saving medicines.
So he secretly visited humans in a simple pair of jeans and a tshirt.
Just tryin' to look like a regular guy,
One of those Earthings who aims to fly high.
Everything went well, and people liked him.
But someone noticed his spaceship.
It looked like a UFO, so people were fearful.
They plotted to study the creatures within.
People saw opportunities to make money,
Producing expensive pharmaceuticals,
Taking the Spaceman's land, colonizing it
Putting him on exhibition.
But this Spaceman or Visitor from the Cosmos, whatever he was
Had only wanted to help Earthlings.
He wanted to teach them something new.
About technology and helping one another.
Living in planetary peace and saving the galaxy.
Too bad Earthlings focused on making money.
This Cosmic Being realized war was widespread.
He realized that Earthlings might not be so friendly.
They'd probably want to colonize his planet.
After hearing the news on TV, he realized he had to leave.
Before humansput him under the microscope.
Thus, he made a run for it.
Taking off as fast as he could!
His UFO shined brightly.
The door opening.
And the Extraterrestrial
Beamed up onto the spaceship.
Then he flew far, far away into the vast Cosmos!
I still wonder if extraterrestrials are out there
And if they would like to collaborate with Earthlings.
our laughter
on the beach. . .
the darkening sky
One day our boat was demolished in a storm that came up suddenly on what had begun as a sunny July day. My husband had recently recovered from a nervous breakdown. Our boat had been his main means of escape on summer weekends, so this event, which would merely have saddened the ordinary guy, totally devastated him.
I could liken this calamitous day to the worst part of living with a person who suffers from “managed” depression/anxiety. Days can be sunny, but when the storms strike, even the best pharmaceuticals can curtail neither the sometimes disastrous effects on the mind of one who suffers depression nor the entire family’s feelings of isolation and debilitating despair. That day at the lake would top my list of the many times in my life that I would choose never to have to relive.
the children’s cries
mingled with my helpless pleas. . .
his vacant stare

(the actual story of this day at the beach was told with more details
in a past haibun of mine posted Oct. 1, 2013 and named Fickle Nature)
The tea I use was born in Canada.
Holistic doctors told me of its name.
This strange concoction does a lot of good
with curing cancer its main claim to fame.
A nurse and doctor took its formula
and bettered it. Of that, there is no doubt.
The herb most vital is its sheep sorrel,
but don’t buy brands that leave this herb’s roots out.
Eight herbs for health include blessed thistle and
red clover, watercress, and wondrous kelp,
slippery elm bark and there are two more
whose roots, like sheep sorrel’s, are a big help.
Ten minutes you must boil it. Later, put
it in the fridge; it settles like brown sludge.
You have to shake it up before each use.
That sludge does not taste anything like fudge!
Online, the testimonials of those
whose cancer has been cured is not a few.
And there are other things incredible
this tea named Essiac can do for you.
Destroyer of free radicals it is -
removing toxins, healing, helping pain.
It aids digestion, even strengthens bones
and nourishes and stimulates the brain.
The list of all it does goes on and on.
So many illnesses this tea can fight.
I make enough to last for two week’s time
and drink three ounces morning, noon and night.
It’s bitter but not horrible; I’ve made
this tea my daily habit because I
am at high risk for cancer, so my friend,
in Essiac I'll trust until I die.
For the Wake up with Coffee or Tea Poetry Contest of Kim Rodrigues
NOTE: I will put info above for anyone interested in checking out this tea. Also,
I can put you in touch with people who can vouch for it. This tea was nearly made a national cure for cancer in Canada (back in the 70's) until it got shot down in their congress by the pharmaceuticals (surely we cannot go against THOSE guys!) Of course, nothing is fool proof, and they do not claim to cure all cancers all of the time; however, I intend to use this tea for prevention's sake for as long as I can afford it, which will hopefully be for a long time. "Covid emergency Acts" & 1930 Nazi Germany Cohesion
Gaslighting from Wuhan, the bitter scourge raged,
Covid the Brand,
the value is FEAR and Control.
the "marketeer" shrouded in obscurity,
subtle conditioning,
psychological warfare
unconnected mind control game.
Concealment of odious lab experiment.
Global perplexities without a gun,
unseen armies moving through the air,
hopeless mortals stripped of honour,
proud kings humbled by fear,
men crossing the threshold of speculation
At the precipice of a reset.
ignorance seeks the thrones on all sphere,
Presidents and tyrants of nations devoid of science,
mandating and manipulating all like Hitler,
to seek solace in experimental opium.
compromised media destitute of Chemistry,
suggesting ampoule from greedy pharmaceuticals,
Business trumped,
anxieties exacerbated,
controlling by fear,
Masking laws to deface nature's Beauty,
Sanitizer as cure enriching China,
From Isolation,
to Lock down and lockouts,
to the Greek Labelling,
Alpha overturned by Beta,
and Gamma conquered by Delta,
demonized immune system,
deodorize chemical solution from the lab
deceived by propaganda to the Jab, susceptible still.
A false sense of relief.
and the naming ceremonies unending,
Mutation from Vaccines, concealed,
Then the arrival of Omicron from South Africa.
The Vaxxed unprotected by experiment blames the "unvaxxed"
The world a Laboratory for the greedy,
money mongers devising opium by trial and error,
another experiment for the gullible as cure,
Censorship of opinion by big Tech,
dictation and Propaganda.
Welcome Socialism,
Wuhan now cured.
Selective restriction,
deprivation, broad day robbery,
undefined PCR Test,
speculative stigma,
Positive or Negative incontestable,
punishment for the Beijing weapon
Freedom was Yesterday
Socialism is Here at Last.

The makers want to thank you for your support
Swallow products they endorse
This drug is safe. We love your money

Commercial (The TV Miniseries)
I watch TV all day, even when I play or sleep
Information about cars, phones, pharmaceuticals
Is what I’m craving for, so give me more
Drug companies pay billions to make a score
To educate, inform, cure us of diseases we don’t have
They make sure we watch and never think
Commercials play repeatedly
Even if we’re bored and snoring
Don’t blink
They save us from the heartbreak of scoliosis
I don’t know what that is or what it’s for
But give me more
I buy everything on shopping networks
Including insurance for car and house, though I don’t have them
I can’t live without meteor and nuclear war insurance
According to the message
I can’t wait for the new season to start
My heart is palpitating
Commercial, The Miniseries will air September in the nation
Pull up a chair and start your couch potations
Dice in Outer Space
A dice occupied a part of space o'er three weeks ago,
I saw it reside without rockiness, roll or drift to weigh,
Only debris floating in the hollowed terrific atmosphere,
Could steal that cubic regality of it’s dignity in cruel slay.
But it did not! Or when present, it did not in blissful glee,
For in that sharp moment a splendid skiff fell from above -
I saw the dice in all its semiotics of multifaceted identity,
Embellish yet echo the presumed emptiness of the glove.
Beside me greeted stars, moon, whetted Mars, quasars,
But the giant in sweet surprise moved and claimed a grin;
Its semantics hit in semiotic spread binomially distributed,
All in me found a meaning amid that societal shriek din.
Random but creating the rational: humans, animals, plants,
One roll of the silent, saline dice rained waterfalls in power;
A slight of hand tilted destiny’s child peeking and glimpsing,
For the swift air to cuddle its sheerly innocent bent tower.
Somatic development bloomed a phenotype in rich display,
Social evolution scooped that prize secured before a trace,
Vocalising tribal calls cut the beholder’s hope to denounce,
Their drive for the female dressed in ovum for sperm case.
But this family - me, you, cherish still moments of freedom,
When ecstasy rolls the waterfalls of two bodies harmonising,
Into one synchronous whole pounding with the life-pulse bold,
Transforming individuality to join with the mesh globalising.
The die, cradling the social with quickening consistent tie,
Files economic highs for tomorrow’s feed, pleading to know,
The happiness of the CEO reigning down joyous bonuses,
Enabling restaurants to serve sumptuous cuisine aglow.
And to medicine wherein the random nests, hiding its kin,
Academia and pharmaceuticals search spare but by step:
Postured algorithms fibre the genetic code, the cell division,
Discovering blazing makeup to aperture the random footstep.
