There is a man, locked away. Shackled.
Chilled rusty bars and barb-wrapped fences
apart from his fellow man.
Shunned, unseen and unheard.
Stigmas of a world unknowing of repentance.
Of reawakenings and redemptions.
A walnut gavel, robed fist clenched,
brought down upon hard top of sacred bench,
Its loud knock—a plank walk and a drop.
The man, crestfallen, eyes on toes,
led, tied—wrists to waist, foot to foot—away he goes.
Cast overboard into the dark blue seas of oblivion and doubt.
Seas achurn with the harsh musings of a mind stripped to its core—
layer above layer of guilt,
of unvoiced apologies,
of myriad what ifs...
Backed by time, poor choice, and circumstance,
into the darkest of dead ends,
forced to face the mirror, to look the devil in the eye.
Spine pressed to cold red brick, heart pounding,
temples afire.
Nerves tingling, electric
eels swimming through his veins.
Starved for options, reduced to few, perhaps just two:
To curl, to draw his knees into his chest,
eyelids tight as the vices that brought him here.
Or defy the fight or flight or freeze,
and scrape at the settled dregs of a mind fettered and in turmoil and pain,
too long closed and locked and limited by the fallacies of the white or black.
To find a path, for a path must be,
through the anguish and the agony,
its steps shrouded to the calves in murky haze,
invisible pavers, hidden, but there the same.
To emerge the victor, made anew.
A worthy man, he's me and you.
Looking out on all of life
negativity can be a constant pull
people tend to lack positivity
but that can change to real cool!
So many possibilities in life
options that one can take
but also can refuse them too
theirs the choice for owns sake
Believing truth in one's own heart
which opens up the way for gain
heaven itself will command a blessing
give negativity defeat break its chain
Victory can be one's experience
when positive songs are sung
as well as truth is obeyed
raised hands voiced from tongue
Remember well to stay strong
positive always in every day
reject negative thoughts forever
walk on positively on every way
Time is trembling.
Among the many colors of clay,
and journeys.
Through life's caverns,
everyone is equal
with fervent longing.
And then there's the temptation.
The woodland is densely forested,
all the details
There are acceptable and prohibited options,
on the exposed line.
The truth has fallen.
To stretch,
near the source rivers,
and then to twist enough.
There was a loud whistling rustling.
Nobody loves it when it happens.
Discover tales that have been dispersed,
a lot of water
I inquired under the bridge.
And swept it away with its
suffocating muck.
Poor habits, hanging norms.
On the tribe's backbone,
and the questions remain.
I'm torn between tears of answers and crush.
All the birds and butterflies.
Flying,
Is it just a fear of heights?
Or is it the fear of falling?
dwell inside us to crush us
I'm feeling guilt and absence.
Confine the space magnificently
to exclaim.
In the face of heinous wickedness.

Flipped Hourglass
Bits of unwrinkled sand, harried ageless seconds,
Rush through a narrow neck
Pushing to birth
Moments of elegance or horror
Shoving aside other grains
Like words of regret flowing unrestricted
Into a ballet arabesque of transparent history
Irretrievable
Uncatchable
Lost like a tear drop in desert sea dances
Prodigals or prophets unable to caress or cling
Only rush headlong into the past.
When Heaven’s hand flips the hour glass
Second chances dash forward,
Free flowing jive of refreshed possibilities,
To animate a nameless tidal stream
In a cadence of options
That takes no long lost baggage
Through gravity’s flowing fountain
Irresistible
Unstoppable
Choreography of charity recaptured
That speaks in immutable tones
Of free flowing grace.
Each spiraling grain speaks of steps renewed
Waiting to articulate
Gliding strides of spoken blessing
Or pirouettes of consecration
As one grain falls upon another
In a transparent time window,
With intervals of oblation tarantellas,
Irrepressible
Uncontainable
Until the dance routine runs its course
Dancers lie inert to hear echoes of eternity whisper
“Save your last dance for me.”

I can quickly disappear into other realms
when my hands are holding a storybook.
I escape the harsh realities of this world
in the solitude of my quiet reading nook.
I don the disguises of characters I love.
With so many options I never get bored.
I'm Florence Nightingale on the battlefield,
or Joan of Arc gallantly wielding her sword.
I'm feisty and determined like Scarlet O'Hara;
Jason, leading his Argonauts to find the Fleece.
I might even write a grand story of my own
in which every nation finally lives in peace.
There's no limit to what I shall read or write
and no bounds to my imagination or rhyme.
I get lost in the sweet world of make-believe;
the future or long ago in ancient days of time.
I'm an explorer in a pyramid on a sand dune,
the first person to set foot on planet Neptune.
I've discovered a way to live upon the Moon
and means to keep cool in the month of June.
Come and read with me. I've books I can share
that will turn you into anyone you choose to be.
Give yourself one of the greatest gifts there is.
Reading pages of a storybook will set you free.

blah blah blah blah blah
my eyes glaze over and you don’t notice or care
blah blah blah blah blah
permission denied to use my headspace for waste disposal
blah blah blah blah blah
I keep desperately hoping this will all soon end
blah blah blah blah blah
how can you live with all that crap building up inside
infesting every corner of your darkened mind
looks to me like a pus infected bubbling cauldron
blah blah blah blah blah
for God’s sake open the window and let some sun in
blah blah blah blah blah
let that putrid and rancid air escape
I see your blood pressure escalating
all I can do is shake my head
your spirit is trapped under that pile of rubbish
blah blah blah blah blah
totally impervious to your dire need of an intervention
overwhelmed with your exponential decline
I don’t know how I can help set you free
you’ll never find your way out
until you realize your demons are within
and you really do hold the options to free yourself

Standing at another crossroads
On this journey we call life
Choices that could lead to happiness
Choices that could lead to strife
Thinking about my options
And which way that I might go
North or south or east or west
To a destination I don’t know
One path might be good for me
But not so much for ones I love
One path might lead to pleasures
Forbidden from up above
One path might lead to riches
One path might leave me broke
I seriously consider who might get hurt
These choices are not a joke
But I don’t want to take too long
Contemplating which path that I might take
Because I’ve found that just standing still
Is, by far, the bigger mistake

Lines reign rectangular beyond widely
sombre dour density of inhabitants
Living rendered responsible behind wisely
secure doors definitely insure us
Neighbours harbour unfamiliar stories
Measureless textures hold untapped instruction
Sectioned protected fences forbode inquiry
Composite dismissed in driveway's reflection
Stranger to Earth's purposeful cycle
Continuum of plenty and scarcity
Cup overflows with options available
Convenience success declares to be
Money making matrix of tyranny
directs development's doctrine devours
Cataclysmic quick fix erect a thousand
nature inhibiting pattern of houses
Maze Ministers administer complacency
Tempered treacle assertions anethetise
Placated patients injected with necessity
Propel dominance of capitalism's rise
Studious city sews a hem pressed wide
Insidious greed knows a slow demise
Commodities local harvest would provide
Remote industry manoeuvre bulk supplies
Creek dipped reaching tree to residents listens
Combined myriad of incessant insects minuscule
Comical tousles, tasks of a toiling existence
Trials surmounted gain victories incremental
Environmentally in tune communities
easily trade effort borne resources
Trust, patience, guidance received
Compassion's fountain pours importance
Muscle of masses hinge bones as ligaments
Harvesting knowledge of fecundity's longevity
Endurance and learning with strength intersect
Woven contribution formulates society's liberty
How hard it is to follow the “Golden Rule”?
In most of our everyday cases
It is not that difficult
We try to treat people as we would like to be treated
We are mostly pleasant in our daily encounters
But Jesus asks so much more of us
Does Jesus really mean what He is saying here?
Imagine if we all took this seriously
How could this kind of behavior not produce a massive change in society?
We know we are a long way from this.
On the world stage
We rarely turn the other cheek on those who hate us
We regularly vilify them publicly
On the personal level
We often return hate with hate
Measure from measure
The great challenge of a faith based on love
Mercy toward others to turn that hate into love
We have no other options
This is Jesus Golden Rule
Living in a false vision, while creating illusions of bad decisions. In my past when my footsteps became ashes,I was stealing for others who really need it.I position myself in danger countless times for strangers with smiling faces who take advantage of kindness, weakness, and talents. But now that Im polished in my craft,Im well balanced surrounded with solid knowledge and display my wisdom that pays attention and listen before I solved them. With tunnel vision deciphering through the rumble and rewritten for those who gets misguided.Cause in my experience language is the true connection of us breathing, while others sleep and dream about living, manuevering through life in a empty body suit in flesh, that dont bleed or shed.Barricaded themselves in there own prison, even there reflection denies its own visit. Its ashamed many dont realize in life we have options to disengage derange or grab on tight to what feels right.I tend to go down memory lane, visualize those precious moments in the past, were all lies, giggles and laughs. But now that I found God,I disgarded my mask,to show my true demeanor and pave my positive mission everlast.
