Just a Thought

My mind is given into floating thoughts, that fall like mindless feathers. On bended knee my conscious brought, down to earth with pointless gestures. I've indulged my crippled self, with those helpful crutches. But it's only left me with failing health and painful wounds from self inflicted punches. All alone with no one else to blame, hurling curses at empty space for fun. Lying in a pool of pity and shame, I feel as though the race I've run. Only left with options unkind, to right this ship is an exhausting task. The path in the dark is hard to find, so into the abyss my lot I cast. 9/21/18
