The Moth Effect

Ever have a song,
Stuck in your head,
Short one or long,
Perseveres like the undead.

The radio serves us Koolaid,
When we're on the move,
Any time of the day,
Our mind starts to groove.

Heard power ballads,
When algebra quizzes occurred,
Motivation to succeed it adds,
At least, that's what I heard.

When around family kids,
Sometimes the songs they play,
Long after Adieu bids,
Haunt me on another day.

I see something good,
Falling out of the sky.
Even if I should,
I will not ask why.

Music that enters my mind,
Might not be all me.
The intuition I find,
May be a key.

Sometimes I need music,
To help me get work done,
Especially so I don't lose it,
Or to promote an atmosphere of fun.

At a concert,
Do brain waves become one.
Like at a solar eclipse,
Does a mass cover the sum.

Does it feel the same?
Are we zombies to the sound?
Belting the same lines,
With other fans in the crowd.

Is it bad to be in a cult,
When direct poison isn't served?
My eardrums, I didn't consult,
Even if the opinion was deserved.

If the moths in my wallet,
Fly away to the beat,
Does a hurricane whatchamacallit,
Spell other people's defeat?

Is the butterfly effect even real?
What happens when they're in a group?
Migrating with zeal,
On an instinctual loop.

I see a plague afoot.
The Hive Brain has won.
I never give it the boot,
Because the situation is fun.

I have Bad Blood.
I'm Never Gonna Not Dance Again.
Like a drip or a flood,
I will never say when.

Music enhances life,
Makes movies, and makes us think,
Sometimes wields a knife,
Or demands shedded tears to drink.

I will move mind over,
Give it its own track,
Feel free to takeover,
Or completely attack.

Music is in my heart,
Possesses my body and soul,
May we never be apart,
And always on a roll.

I will let the chorus consume me,
Like a thirsty vampire on a binge.
My subconscious mind is the emcee.
Let the Crazy Train infringe.

Premium Member Does Anyone Care

Does anyone care?
Maintaining peace;
a peaceful existence on Earth
is on almost everybody's prayer.

Children;
Pure and innocent,
Many fragile
With agile minds
Broken by bullies.
Those children hurry past
Hiding their feelings.
They sit in silence,
Some commit suicide.

Does anyone care?

Our seniors in nursing home
Isolated, wait for the rest of their lives.
They sit in silence
And rock in their chair
Wishing for someone to care;
Where are the loved ones?
Family are too busy with their own lives.

Does anyone care?

So many veterans,
Brave men and women
That fought for our country.
Many homeless,
Struggling with hunger or illness,
And no one cares.

Immigrants veterans
Promised citizenship
In United States
If they fought for our country;
Our government has forbidden
Them from setting foot in the nation
A country they risked their lives to defend.

Our government has forsaken them.

Does anyone care?

There is a fear in every nation
Just a breath away
Creating disorder,
Crippling human-beings
Driving them into quarantine and insanity.

Will there be a cure?

Does anyone care?

To kneel down and pray
For everyone to care.

Does anyone care?

Deported veterans fought for this country. It's time to fight for them, too

Donut People

Donut People

Not all donut people are large or police or thieves
Nor are they thin, eating only greens and leaves and vitamins
Or exercising on the side of reasons muscularity
All this takes time to digest of course

Another hole, another donut down
Finding the criminal intent within is not a sin
Each and every calorie must be accounted for
According to health reports and other sources

Sugar particles find their way to court
Another bite out of crime….(but what about the obvious holes in this story?)
Public opinion is all about perception and what went down
All energy and money spent takes time to digest as well

To track down lost donuts, confections imperfections
Bring it to just desserts and deliciousness of justice
Our dedicated police will not sleep on just one donut
Their job has just begun

All citizens of our fine town
Can rest assured…. (So let them sleep)
Why!...Some of my best friends are donuts…(the mayor shouts.)
There is nothing wrong with that

Knowing one is out there unconsumed….
Leaves donut people too confused
Children are donut people too
They eat them all, run back for more….Poof!.....They’re gone

Confectioner’s confess and conjecture
Did girls and boys steal or simply borrow them?
Dusting off sweet powder and tiny prints of suspects
Leads to one conclusion

Convictions are in order for any one large or small…mostly small
When donut snatchers perpetrate such crimes
Donut people have their rights to eat in peace
Protected from crumby children who steal their treats

Don't need loud amps or speakers on

just speak the word
speak the word

Just give me God's anointed word
Give me His voice from His book
And not your opinion
For what it's worth you maybe wrong
maybe???

His wisdom, vision through His words
Even if I could read or speak Hebrew
the Lord is my refuse, my refuse..

just speak the word
speak the word to me
only just tell me what the Lord our God got for me
No denominational choice for me
just read the word, the bible

I know His words in Him, I seek, I'll reach all the answers I'm after

just speak the word
speak the word

Just give me God's anointed word
Give me His voice from His book
And not your opinion
For what it's worth you maybe wrong

Tell It Like It Is

I usually shy away from volunteering unsought advice.
With fear I'll be meddling, cautions me to think twice.
For speaking without being asked, I'd pay the price
of losing a friendship, if I need to be more precise.

I always tell it like it is when my opinion is sought,
but only after giving the issue some serious thought.
Even if my heartfelt suggestions count for naught,
I promise to extend the best counsel I can impart.

All too often, it can be difficult to tell it like it is.
To breakdown the factions of an essential analysis,
by taking into consideration that it's akin to a quiz.
With a wrong answer I'll hear, "It's none of your biz!"

My goal is to help you by bringing darkness to light,
but it won't deter me from being honest and forthright.
Discord between friends should be a personal plight
so, I won't criticize either side with words of spite.

If you fear the advice I offer might lead to indigestion,
don't solicit me for an opinion to a delicate question.
A better solution would be to have a sit-down session
and talk through problems, each making a concession.

The Mockingbirds Be Damned

They did mock us ...did they not?...the mockingbirds?
I say they did!...innuendo infuse...as pellucid as she...they mocked us!
...gossiped luridly about us in luscious low tones like the old hen in her
folding chair...nothing better to do than judge in ripples to her cluck...her menagerie...in their horribly ugly dough smeared aprons...their blue heads tilted in close at twilight...their murmurings...wet currants of milky weighted ancestral opinion...like the too sweet fragrant frangipani of yesterday's casket bouquets.
They are the last vermillion crest of an ending era...the harsh setting sun
of discrimination's descent ...now blurs to a color rich flag and nation...The Mockingbirds ...be damned!

Premium Member Fun In Learning

Relaxing myself midst a worthy accomplishment
of checking essays which became a rigorous engagement…

I drifted a while for a festive entitlement
recalling such ‘laugh-out-loud’ moment
melting teacher’s stern sentiment
on antonyms predicament
when a student in his sober deportment
mentioned with a jubilant tone of achievement
“opinion and conclusion are opposites” along wit’s settlement…

Then he explained, devoid of embarrassment
“open and close are antonyms”: that’s no wonderment…*
Oh, I thank** God for clean humor in learning, bringing mirth-fulfillment!

*That was meant for a joke in our country where English is not the first language. The student actually knew the meanings of those words.

People can read them from just about anywhere.

There are many poems here written in any form.
Standard types are with those deviating from the norm.

(This is only my opinion, only written to promote calm discussion or debate. I know nothing, am not an expert on anything. If you are easily Religiously riled, spiritually offended, do not read this. Period.)

The Devil is smart, subtle; he can control one without the controlled being remotely aware. He can appear beautiful and angelic like, surrounded by dazzling light. He is content with making some simply complacent, not believing in his existence. Complacency means that you will not consciously, prayerfully battle negative influences in the world. He doesn’t need a lot of active foot soldiers. He can make you financially secure, a weekend content church goer, as he does many, when it prevents you from deeper scrutiny and higher spiritual growth. Complacency helps him indirectly perpetuate evil influence in the world. Pop Culture: meditation is good...but meditation should not be approached and practiced as a touchy-feelgood, New-age fad. Without knowledgeable instructional understanding of mind, body, and spirit, meditation can lead to demonic possession. When one puts his mind and body into trance, if not protected properly, if not first being in the presence of God (the importance of understanding shallow meditation vs deeper meditation~ Omnipresence) one opens himself up to demonic possession. Possessed often do not know it. It’s very seldom like the movies. Psychic powers, psychic centers of the Cosmic Form, should not be stimulated unless one is totally prepared to become a priest of God, totally committed to selfless service of humanity 24/7. One should not mess with Mysticism as though it were another hobby, or simply an occasional pastime. Two scoop day or one. Subjects like Kundalini, spiritual fire for purification and transformation, should not be attempted without proper groundwork, without spiritual training – dedication involving total, complete surrender to Christ Principal (Son of God), otherwise it is tantamount to giving a 4 year old a loaded gun to play with. Am I suggesting then, that one should not Meditate? Absolutely not. And everyone starts as a novice. Psalm 19 verse 14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” All meditation, whether done by novice or otherwise, should begin and end in God’s presence.

Learning to think healthy thoughts/anger issues

White knuckle straining
Gripping the laces
At the edges of my thoughts
Praying the laces
Don’t come off
I am screaming
You cannot hear me
Because I am learning
I am learning what is healthy
And tearing down the dry wall
Until your nail beds are bleeding is
Not.
I do not hate you.
How do I say
I hate the way
I have to relearn how to think
How to speak
I have to weigh every opinion
Every porcelain inkling
So that I do not break
It
Break
Me
Break, you.
Break through!
I can do this sober.
Unless
I can’t.
String me up by my neck
There is only silence
Until the next
The thought
Rips its way in
Unfamiliar nasty little friend
I white knuckle strain
And grip the lace
Hoping for a soft landing
A greeting
A whisper instead of the screaming
I am gritting my teeth
Praying
And they call this
Healthy,
Self understanding.
But thinking for me
Feels more like disease
Punishment seeping internally
Pushing my face into gravel
Threatening to leak
Through my teeth
And onto my life where
I’ve rebuilt
Piece by piece.
Silence.
I breathe.
Release.
Repeat.
