Premium Member One Warm September

How many hearts so full of love
                            are never given chances
They've lined the walls in silent hope
                            at one too many dances

A lonely mirror once looked back
                               at me, as I remember
How devastating life could be
                         until one warm September

I’ll not forget the ups and downs
                                the great anticipation
To only then be squashed again
                             without accommodation

But then one day when life had learned,
                               alone can be complete
I came upon the only one
                                   forever to be sweet

Just catch a moment, hold it still
                              be open to new fashion
For one can never know when
                      fate and destiny find passion

And when September rolls around
                                 remember what i say
For then it was my turn to dance
                             and dance until this day

With her brush and canvas, she charily dash
Slowly and surely, never ever she rushed
Each stroke a decisive measured stoke
Yielding a beauty of light and heavy poke
A family of emotions, she does evoke

Even palette of events she illustrates
As she aims for a perfect painting
People that sees, admiration they rain
Her perfect painting, placed high like bling-bling
Persons exclaim adoration similar to a king

Yet to someone, starting dreams it deteriorate
Is her perfect painting implies coup de grace?
Frustration it deliver... it generates...
Her encouraging words useless to brace
Even to bounce for a breathing space

Her picture did neither criticize nor mock
Yet, its fairness silently touched and pluck
Probably causing a string of charign
Swift as the gust of a passing wind
The effects felt timeless strong never thins

Inspiration: the video with these: "Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen" by Leonardo de Vinci and "painting is silent poetry and poetry is painting that speaks" by Plutarch

This empty callous country of ghosts
That has drained into a polluted ocean of regret
Where vain venomous demons rise from the constitutional Sea
Swallowing our political fire and passion
Disabling our wounded words to abstain false promises
Suffocating the breath of truth from our desperate voices
Singing the stifled anthem - the ode of passivity
To echo in hollow empty bunkers of helpless intent
With dogma and doctrine that drives our ego
To cannibalize its own usurped power
Played out in the broken songs of sympathy
Slain in the snow covered silent fortress of evil
Our love of life now bitter, frozen and isolated
Like the woes of the blind and deaf
Addicted to apathy and led like sheep to the slaughter

Can we remember our origins - our birthplace?
Where men and women from different beginnings joined together
Working through the potential of divergence
Standing together on common ground for the common good
Forming the brotherhood of man

From every corner of the world
The United States of Utopia
A land of peace and understanding
Of tolerance, forgiveness and compassion
United within our destined kinship
Honoring the union of all hearts, minds and human spirit

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.” - Max Lucado, Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine

One touch, gentle
Against my thoughts, my hand, my heart
A feathery whisper, graceful
And filled with compassion, so kind

One moment, stirred
By the spirit of grace, softest light
Pouring o’er the naked spirit,
Filling thoughts with beautiful, a smile

One song, harmonizing
With the rain, thunder and lightning,
Erasing the dusty roads, the lost
Leaves, falling – breathless as a sigh

One God, knowing
Wherever I go, faith will sustain
When I praise, I feel the amazing,
Spirit’s restoration, His love blessing…

Away the fears, the tears, the years
Before the ache, the fire
Burning away the silence of a moment
Before I knew Him as Father,
Before I knew Him as light,
Before I knew Him as the part of life
That would last, forever….
His grace filling, fulfilling, willing…

To take me home, to eternal paradise
Because of His altruism, His sacrifice
Saving, not just my life, but my heart, my soul…
He’s the wonderful ONE where I’ll spend eternity!

ONE MAN MARCH

A man was marching through his mind.
An empty cell to fullfill his time.
Long before he traveled lands.
He blistered truth with burned up hands.
Many miles and waters sailed.
Out for nothing and still he failed.

A man was marching into space.
An endless look expressed his face.
This forced impression along the ride.
Consumed illusions to take his pride.
The need for more to take the fall.
Below the belt and made to crawl.

A man was marching into lead.
He used his guilt to count his greed.
A path was chosen and yet not made.
Where he's going the lights will fade.

A man was marching into fate.
Love will fualter and cease to hate.
This man that marched and never left.
Stood his post to wait for death.

There is Only One Hope

Let the breath of heaven flow with grace,
As the gathering of angels fills this place.
Soaring high, both near and wide,
His Name, our banner, strength and guide.

Refine the oil, let its glow be bright,
Let our lives shine with newfound light.
The table cleared, a meal prepared,
The taste is unknown, yet richly shared.

New strength will rise, our souls renew,
As chaff falls off, our eyes see true.
Soar higher still, both far and near,
Review the vision, make it clear.

Let God reveal the one piece so bold,
That makes the new vision to unfold.
Stop and see the enemy’s sway,
Unusual creatures bring delay.

Yet God brings joy to light our stay,
His Hand will guide, His truth will stay.
Topple the foes who seek control,
Let revival sound where your feet stroll.

Death of a loved one

Fifty-five years! More or less! I did not know, then,
How, to your adieu, o mother, I said Amen;
Later, like the ache of an amputated limb,
Existence, like a gloom-glaring jail cell, grew grim...!

I know, from the frail earthen pitcher of physique,
Your soul, O my mother, that, for long, was homesick;
Had taken its flight far from this interim earth,
And amalgamated into the endless mirth...!

It's not due to doubts about your life eternal,
Nor the chance of being a creature infernal;
Your passing through the gateway of naked newness,
Is as clear as crystal to me, though seems clueless…!

Tingles of your touches tinged into tenderness,
Turned too into touch-me-not of tentativeness;
Your existence in me is a continuum,
It's not a cloudy chemical residuum...!

I know your death is not a dark dusk but a dawn,
Designs of resurrection are dazzlingly drawn;
Ignorance that ignites the minds with illusion,
Fails to form fundamentally free faith fusion...!!!

some poems stand out, outstanding,
         feeding my mind delicious, prime

      those ones, i know
will be at the top

some i have to lean in,
hear the whisper in my ear,
      interesting vocabulary,
of obscurity i have nothing to fear.

         slovenly, slapped
     with leaking pen
even with the best intentions,
                         dead end

      not impressed by similar thought
unless you make it pop

i’m not much into livestock, well
  cute little kittens or pups
though if you make it rich
        i’ll pretend

i love the sea, wild imagination,
friendship, and such

and different, yes unique
     and brevity —
for some reason hard for me
to stay engaged, to a ballad

       i can handle some politics
even when it doesn’t line up with mine
but make it fine not a bleeding blot, like
a dying skunk

if i can picture myself in your world,
you just might win my heart,
                   as a friend and poet,
                                 of course

                 and don’t be coarse;
i do like a good laugh, though.

lastly, i like good Christian poetry,
thoughtfully done, touching my soul —
                make it “the one”

The One Love

Song by Benny Berry

When this true love is within, we can have a love for all,
But many things are out to pull it away and destroy
But one shall remember this is the love that gives life

The one Love
That keeps me alive
It flew down as a dove
A new creation to thrive
I seeked all over this earth
For love that would fill this heart
And found I was in need of rebirth
A fire set ablaze from a spark
This new wind causing change
Blowing out the old way
Oh the beauty of this new range
Guiding me not to rock and sway
In this poem I wrote for fun
But this is where I found true love
Receiving strength like a plant from the sun
From the source coming from above
Giving new mind and desire
Oh how I must run and tell all
Of the spirit within of fire
I want all to fly and not fall
Leaves me in awe of how I did reject
This love within giving a new breath
With my own path to surely wreck
Walking around unknown in death
Finally being able to find rest
Unto my soul this new found peace
One might say this is the best
No longer in chains but a new release

Death of a Real One

When a real one dies...
The world is full of cries.....
Life keeps going,  time flies by.

It hits a little differently...
To some it's a mystery....
Sadness for me but joy for you.

You're finally getting your wings, for all you've been through.
But what do I do? About missing  you?
You looking at me but I wanting to see you?

"Time heals all pain" yeah right, that's a lie!
"God makes no mistakes", but I'm asking lord why?!

When you left I promise you, a piece of me died.
Then, there's the guilt because I know you wouldn't want me down. So I try to uplift myself, pretend you're still around.

So this is why when a real one dies,  you'll see the world cry with large tears in people's eyes .
