One Resolution
O, each year I pen a list of resolutions,
Just some meaningless promises written;
Words dripping that have no solutions,
O, the sad memories that I keep hidden.
Just some meaningless promises written,
But this year my resolution will be different;
O, the sad memories that I keep hidden,
This year I am going to make a commitment.
But this year my resolution will be different,
My only resolution will be, to let go of grief;
This year I am going to make a commitment,
Sorrow and weeping have been my life thief.
My only resolution will be, to let go of grief,
I want to leave the past far behind me;
Sorrow and weeping have been my life thief,
I will shed my dark cloak of sadness, to be free,
I want to leave the past far behind me,
And on a crisp white paper I am writing;
I will shed my dark cloak of sadness, to be free,
And I will start this new year by leaving.
And on a crisp white paper I am writing,
Leaving all the pain of death far behind;
And I will start this new year by leaving,
O, all these years my soul has been twined.
Leaving all the pain of death far behind,
Words dripping that have no solutions;
O, all theses years my soul has been twined,
O, each year I pen a list of resolutions.
