Dragonslayer

DragonSlayer,
Dare you come my way?

~ I Smiled at you,
I did Today.

Your name imply,
to my demise you try.
~ But I Looked at you,
instead anyway.

Something in your glare,
Even mean as you dare,
And something in your eye,
Say that you imply...
...but know.That I know.
WhoYouAre.
I met you once,
Upon a Time,
When innocence be,
A simple rhyme.
I met you once,
Upon a Time,
And I met you twice,
Upon a Star.

So, sLayer I recognize,
Through your disguise.
A mistake occured,
in Your Name.

DragonsLayer.Was a Player.
And fooled around all day.
Naughty
Cat, that dragon that,
Enticed the girls this way.

"Come to me..." he said...
To the DragonsLayer.
ToPlay.

Hear Colors

The vastness of colors..
Many vivid colors
With vibrancy and clarity..

The magnificence of colors shall be seen..
Massive rainbow across the horizons..
Displayed it is..
In all of its beauty..

Human perceptions..
Human senses..
Saturated throughout our bodies..
Senses had changed directions..
Entanglements occured..
Flowed onto various mazes..
Mazes representing changes of the senses..
Directing to sound..
Our auditory sounds..

To hear colors..
Pure delight ..
Vibrations and frequencies..
Tones and symphonies..
Euphoric Soundwaves
An infusion of blissfulness through our ears..
Music directed to meanings of colors..
White is purity..
The force of life..
The force of love
Blue is calm peaceful waters..
A sanctuary of serenity
Red is a fiery bold assertive state of being..
To make a grand entrance..
Green is nature surrounded in lushisness..
All walks of spectacular plant life..
Brown is earth and soil
Plant the seeds in the gardens of life
Yellow is sunshine and cheer
Warmth and contentment..
Black is an outline of the void
Worm holes
Black holes..
Doorways to different realms..

When our senses are entangled ..
Anything is possible..

I've a message for the nation.
You will learn more through an education:
Be it through life experiences alone
Or all academic successes you shall soon have sown.

We will not fall,
Not in this world,
Not this continent.
This time we stand united.

Brothers and sisters in spirit,
Friends and foes alike,
You will rise together
In unity of great numbers.

Freedom is when you are all in control,
Not in leaving things to the higher-ups alone.
Indeed ye shall all be free,
For it is how our ancestors decided it to be.

Every painful thing that's occured in history,
Only makes us remember the misery,
So we may never repeat those mistakes,
And so we shall do whatever it takes...

Fight for each other,
Not against one another.
My people and I are very forgiving,
Because we see the beauty in everything.

If only we had learned all this sooner.
But with gratitude, I thank all of you,
For taking a stand together.
Surely, things will get better.

Premium Member Uh, Tower, We Have a Problem Here

They were nearing LaGuardia Airport when the pilot felt a sudden urge.
He told the copilot to grab the yoke saying his bladder he must purge!
He left the cockpit and wended his way to the lavatory in the rear.
Thus, a series of events unfolded, some of which remain quite unclear!

Things 'flowed' along nicely until the pilot attempted to exit the john!
Alas, the door was jammed and he mused, "Is someone putting me on?"
When he tried to escape from his predicament he discovered a catch;
He was alarmed to find that the doggone door had a defective latch!

In the cockpit the copilot was growing very uneasy about their plight.
The tower called to say they were 50 miles out and were cleared to alight!
To add to his consternation, some jerk was pounding on the cockpit door,
Yelling with a foreign accent - a serious situation he dare not ignore!

The tower operator, just to be certain there would be no later regrets,
Wisely called the Air Force and they alerted a squadron of their jets!
The copilot proffered a prayer saying, "Lord, have mercy on us please!
Help, Lord! Landing this bird alone will test my fortitude and expertise!"

In the meantime good Samaritans helped the pilot to escape his cell!
He scampered to the cockpit to take charge and all turned out well!
This mortifying escapade will be long remembered in airline lore,
About the pilot whose wings were clipped by a faulty lavatory door!

Premium Member One Saturday Morning

From a very young child, I was told by many that I was a GOOD kid.
'GOOD' meant that I was obedient and respectful to parents and adults.
My mother thought I was GOOD, and my grandmother had absolutely no doubt. But my father never gave me a clue about being GOOD, BAD, or SPECIAL. Grandma actually thought that I was great and very SPECIAL.
I later learned that grandparents have the ability to make all their grand
children feel SPECIAL.

Most of my siblings thought I was GOOD and SPECIAL when pleasing them. Otherwise, whatever character I did posses made no difference to them.
It never occured to me I was BAD in any way until I got married.
It was an amazing discovery that unfolded something like this one Saturday: Before being married, I cherished one thing on saturdays, and that was baseball.

One newly wedded saturday morning, I poured myself a large glass of milk and filled my platter with my choicest cookies. I was getting set to enjoy the Major League Baseball Game of the Week when my wife walked in and said, "What are you doing?" When I told her what I was doing, she quickly said to me, "That is not what we will be doing on saturdays mornings". That was when I truely realized that I was a BAD person.

Sacred Reunion

He vanished without a trace..
Left her when she needed him most..
Rejected..
Abandoned..
Airwaves of shock..
Filled the air
A shattered broken heart..
Crumbled into many pieces..
Facing her vulnerabilities..
Alone..
She awakened in a cold sweat
Repetitive scenes of a nightmare
Day and night of excessive visions of his unexpected departure..

She prayed daily..
She prayed effortlessly
She had shed many tears..
Discernment had arrived..
She suffered so..
Suffering cannot be measured..
One's suffering is only their own..
Just is..
It was..
It had occured..

She imagined a sacret reunion..
She envisioned the love of her life..
Without bitterness and hurt..
Only..
Embraced the moment..

A sacret reunion..
His voice still spoke to her..
Disguised as the wind..
Two beating hearts..
The power of love turning into bliss..

A sacred reunion..
Visions of her beloved
Had grown so rapidly..
Many vines..
The vines of her beating heart..

A sacred reunion ..
She yearned for..
Awaited for..
A burning desire..
For two beating hearts..

Time had passed..
He was still gone..
The sacred reunion was alive and well..
Though..
Only in the depths of her soul..
It continued to flourish..

A sacred reuinion did survive..
Lived inside her heart and soul..

Me, Myself, and I - (Part 2)

Hello Friends... I suffer from Severe Bi-Polar Disorder and this submission was inspired by
actual events that occured during one of my especially critical manic episodes. Be sure and
read Part 1 first so as to get the true gist of the poem and leave your comments here on the
Part 2 submission. Thank you for allowing me to share my pain for pain shared is pain
diminished.

Me, Myself, and I... (continued)

“Your, (Or “Our”), symptoms seem to intermit
And the fact that “You’re,” (“We’re”), a hypocrite
Tis no wonder we’re having such problems with diagnosis”

Then “I” had an idea so grand
To dispense with this at my own hand
A self-inflicted coup de grace would be my prognosis

So while the “Me” and the “Myself” squabbled
		With courage newly cobbled
“I” spotted the dresser drawer and made my run

With fingers fiercely fumbling
		Whilst they continued grumbling
“I” produced from the depths of the drawer a shiny gun

And now my life, though ill-fated
		Was soon to be vindicated
This would affect us all equally the same

Would be no myself or me
No you, him, us, or we
But an inclusive all would be to blame

It took me a moment to figure
Out the safety on the trigger
Then “I,” (or “Us”), prepared to do the dirty deed

Then the barrel found my temple
And as it settled into the dimple
A still small voice did my “selves” choose to heed

Hence a moment of clarity
		Harkened me to posterity
And I thought what a legacy to leave behind

“Can’t we all find a way
		To save this miserable day
And avoid a broken body for someone to find”

And then deep within my soul
I felt and heard a simple drum roll
And the differing sides of me just subsided

And with my mind now as one
I worked to get this all undone
The whole business of this stuff I derided

And tis now true of fact
That I survived this ordeal intact
And lived to raise my face unto the sky

And here now as it ends
I find I’ve made good friends
With the “Me”, the “Myself,” and the “I”

Thank you for taking the time to share in my poetry. Please feel free to leave your thoughts

Family and friends gathered to pay homage to a hero today,
As a gallant airman was laid to rest 'neath hallowed clay.
He volunteered to defend freedom and his beloved nation.
He proudly wore the uniform, feeling it his solemn obligation.

He was just an ordinary man performing extraordinary deeds,
Serving humankind regardless of their race or creeds.
It can never be said that his sacrifice was made in vain;
Because of such patriots, brotherhood will ever reign.

The honor guard rendered the twenty-one gun salute as one.
The plaintive notes of "Taps" honored him for laurels won.
The Commander presented the flag to his son on bended knee.
He clutched it to his breast - the little man was only three.

The sound of freedom was heard again in this great nation.
Four fighter jets screamed above in precise formation.
To honor an airman who placed national destiny above his own,
To ensure that our liberties would never be overthrown!

One plane soared heavenward toward that vast celestial dome,
Symbolically escorting a Peacemaker's soul to its eternal home.
God embraced him and placed upon his brow a regal crown,
Saying, "Son, you've served Me and My people with great renown!"

This poem was based on a true incident that occured at Luke AFB, AZ
a few years ago. Someone complained about the noise the jet planes
made at this brave man's funeral in the local paper. The Commander
responded to the article explaining the situation. I sent a copy of this
poem to the Commander, Lt Col Scott Pleus, and he sent a very gracious
note to me expressing his thanks and appreciation.
