Ben Stokes Stoic Martyr and Heroic Firestarter

Dare to dream Ashes nightmares it seems reawoken

Token words spoken after scares & flares teams broken

Dafter peacocking then rocking no blocking just shocking

Mocking laughter of the ghost of Christmas future knocking

Host boast from coast to coast toast as England roast

Boiling..recoiling..toiling & broiling this is our last post

Our iridescent flaming proper copper haired laird

Incandescent flairs no taming his despairs we all shared

Luminescent cares blaming Bazball heirs ill prepared scared

Stoic brawler our defiant mauler on a leaking reeking trawler

Too reliant on our brilliant defiant resilient glowering giant

Big Ben set up camp crippled by his men again & ripples of cramp

Overpowering pain courses through every vein towering skipper & champ

Heart on his sleeve…makes us believe in a reprieve heroic Firestarter

Immensity of intensity.. O Captain my Captain..our smarter martyr

Little boy lost in echoes of his past.
Not knowing though never forgetting.
In things that linger in memories unspoken.
Lost and alone always foreboding thoughts.
Dreams of nightmares scattered across his mind.
Colors are always dark and muted in a fog.
So many drugs on this lost highway.
Some days were filled with blue skies.
Most often than not colors of gray muted walls.
Bruises were a constant on wrists and ankles.
There is always that sinking feeling rising up.
Words and memories flashed through his mind.
It is a place of control except for no control at all.
It is free reign here to do what is pleasing for some.
The mind can take you away from places you can't deal with.
He locked away secrets, deep inside, as he tried to forget.
As he watched the paintings on the wall changing forms.
As they took him places he longed to be, to forget things.
He did not want to see, dreams of nightmares and evil things.
As this boy never understood bringing to near death.
When the song of the holy rang out in his ears.
He thought he had nothing in this life to fear.
And in the end, this lost boy slipped off to heaven.
Never to be seen again, with anyone to cry for him.

3 am 3/ 24/ 2012 I took the liberty of putting 3- 4 stories in one poem/ my X was a cop, and he told me a few stories of him & his team rescuing those boys.

Premium Member Heartbeats in Heaven

Sometimes when
moonlight weeps to sleep,
I sit, draped
in burning dreams,
and beautiful nightmares
of moments lost,
engraved along the rising
of blushing blossoms,
within cerulean azure.

But shadows fade,
as clarity descends
upon the ivory beach,
adorned in pearls
and palm leaves.
I await for twilight to
sing my heart to
the milky-way.
I stretch my fingers,
to count glistening gems,
that shower silver
streaks upon my
stranded silhouette.

And I question the universe,
in r i d d l e s and r h y m e s~
what flows within
empty spaces
between iridescent
lines of stars?
Would I find traces
of footprints that left
the face of this earth,
where they
thrive eternal crests
in paradise?
Maybe there’s rivulets
of jewels with initials of
angels residing
in blissful musing,
in hope-filled reveries,
as the cosmic maestros,
orchestrate peaceful notes
with ethereal keys of faith,
In a choir for
celestial requiems,
to heal the grieving mind
that t i m e couldn’t mend.

I saw it rained
a rainbow with frozen
memories through my
glass window..
and I remembered
how I’ve always felt
closer to you in astral realms,
whilst soaked in
galactic light.

So tonight, I whisper,
prayers in poetic prose,
hoping you’ll feel my tears,
from the
  highest halcyon haven.
Even death can
never kill a dreamer,
that bears memories,
and relives them
through classical sonatas.

Maybe this is how
a poet reminisces,

Magic Ruins

in the rusty tide animating bones
of deluded gods reaching for the lie
etched on eroded steles in dead lisps
licking flames of seers tossing guts
filled with blue and red fascists
infecting the hands of the curious
willing to taste microscopic spiders
gulping their blood pumping poisonous
chants of starlit fevers soaking doubts
in baptismal orgasms growing fingers
measuring spirits down to the remnants
of angels sleeping in cellars drinking
emotions of residents disheveling linen
drenched fear perspiring throughout eye
movements of broken nightmares straining
to be painted in fixed oil imbued with lead
thoughts cracking in corridors hallucinating
dripping madmen sharpening revolts smearing
screeching phrases fed intravenously milking
the life of beasts for ravenous wisdom awaits
cold to the heart thuds of silence defy adages
preaching surrender to the surgeon’s pride
flashing silver pain pooling mercury bulges
of phallic power parading atrocity elements
churning in the metabolic circumference of Gaia
digesting busts of Caesars forgetting Romana
as peace basks in the annihilation of metabolism
directing the jet-streams crossing sunrise
and sunset like catholic rites glossy and gilt
flat personages etched by bright children
bending down to surrender to the priests
speechless in empty piety moaning high-
ways returning in internal engines conbusting
beside Masonic erections adorned with devils
sliding between walls where innocence lived
yellowed pages of periodicals recall fabrications
stitched into the screens of televisions changing
until the entire hymn of Satan rests in every palm

Nothing is the same, and why
Doesn’t mean a thing
It’s a carpet bombing try
In the fullest fling
It’s a game no one can win
But we ought to play
Or to mimic that we’re in
Living for today
Nightmares getting far too real
What a shame for all of us
Neanderthals broke down the deal
With the Pithecanthropus
Questions here are as useful
As if you would ask the beasts
For their instincts; why so cruel?
How on earth they’ve come to this?
Now the future looks preset
Nothing happened, that wasn’t to be
Toss me please, a cigarette
If you have the one for me
I shall try to smoke, though I
Quit that habit long ago
The sea won’t ask, the wind won’t cry
There’s no change in waves galore.

Premium Member Unchambered

In the chambers dying salted wounds slowly weep
looking through the keyhole beholding darkness
touching cold chilling bites teeth
snarling growls within ache an animal of pain

Fingers of ice slither over one's soul
shivering the timbers feeling worthless
grabbing out gasping for light
clutching aimlessly at straws

A godless affliction inside
empty suffering cries wishing upon a star
believing on beauty on a cold dark night
growling murmurs within oneself
whispering in voices carried on the wind

Finding comfort in sadness
a fragile presence exists in an empty vessel
moonlight the host where shadows hover
clouding judgement hides the light of the sky
smiling through clouds haunted visions
creep inside shadows fears are realized

Distorted images dead mirror images
a chilling sacrifice of blood
gripping at the heart of beauty cries
a ghost suffering reaches out
strangely guarded in nightly whispers
clothed in grey rising out of the night

A reaper's knuckle echoes heavy
on chamber's door of mansion or mausoleum
knocking down the entrance to heaven and hell
a heart attacked fever rising chills subsiding
back and forth visions delirious

Running from a nightmare to capture a dream
holding hope in fingers of the imprisoned soul
once washed away in despair's tears
a stain of belief lingered
carried along on wings of the wind

Hidden in shadows waiting to whisper
painful voices masking truth cloaking beauty
hollow thoughts burn and scar
healing as time itself passes away
peaceful slumber now overtakes inner nightmares

Under lasting moonlight the stars keep promises
wishes granted as dreams come alive
dark clouds parting the pathway home
heaven's winds sail the vessel
rising upon crystal waves of white
fleeing the chains to freedom
turning silver key opening eternity's glow
clear light beautifully blinding

Words of Violence and Strife Ii

ASSAULT
I feel the light assault my tender optics.
I see the elections flow and ebb.
The particles of reality assault my mind.
Can you feel my thoughts my inner desolations.
Spare me the moments you don’t understand, my crime.
Crimson are my hands, thick with a dark fluid
I know not were it arrives only my mind
can not combine the things I have seen,
felt and discarded.
I can not define.
Feel the elections fly,
against my perception.
I see my Parade; black infernal,
see my demons march, my nightmares dance.
My thoughts scamper and run.
They are corpses shambling in the back of my mind.
The dark depths of my soul.
Like boxes stacked neatly nine by nine.
Memories assault my sight.
Ravage my minds second sight.
They drift though my visions like wraiths of time.
My crimes.
Crimson are my fingers drip something
I can not, will not define.
I feel the light assault my fragile optics.
I see the elections wax & wane course through my vaines.
The splinters of reality storm my thoughts.
Something stuck in my throat. Jagged. Raw.
Can you feel my minds inner desolations?
Spare me your thoughts as you
You can’t or won’t understand
So don’t try to comprehend,
or pretend to know
my crime, my pain, my mind.

Rapture At My Gate

This sudden urge I've come to feel is
rapture at my gate
Not more on sudden than is subtle but
weary of this spate
Thoughts of dreams, realities obscene
and too depraved
Quite more on nightmares than dwelt
dreams yet dark and highly craved

Consumes my mind on vulture plains
devouring to ensnare
Despising law and hearts thereof
perpetuating air
Loosed in my twisted reasoning twisted
as in psycho strange
To understand this feeling you need feel
as do the crazed.

Constituting heart is a melody of nature
but as I hear it playing is my symphony in
gesture
As the organ sounds flows the flood of
tainted scarlet.
Leaving all but dense perfume and a taste
of cupcake velvet.

This wretched place I know is my bound
while I am bleeding
Not much bleeding as in breathing but
nonetheless demeaning
This occupation begs by night, entombs
me and enslaves
Preoccupying binding shadows, darkness
is my subtle crave

Nightmares From Poem a Thon

April 11 3 Am Nightmares

April 12 Zombie Apocalypse

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

Everywhere zombies galore
The end of the world had become
And the zombification of the world had begun

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

No one knew when or where the first zombies appeared
One moment zombies were just a collective figment of our deranged imagination
The next moment we were all living in a zombie apocalypse nightmare

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

Some said the zombies were created in a lab
Released by mad scientists and the military
Others said it was plague sent by God himself
To punish mankind for tolerating evil and moral depravity

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

The Christians and Muslims prayed
But their prayers went unheard
As they too soon became zombies

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

The zombies hunted in packs
Overwhelming their victims
Killing most instantly
But some they simply bit
And turned them into fellow zombies

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

The zombies did not attack one another
They preferred living live flesh
Human flesh but they ate everything they saw

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

And so, I ran into the countryside
With my fellow humans
Hit out deep in the woods
Hiding from zombies
And crazed cannibal gangs alike

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

The world ended that day
And our nightmare world began

Zombies to the right of me
Zombies to the left of me
Zombies ahead of me
Zombies behind me

Premium Member Internal Paralysis

I have had nightmares of demons and hallucinations
in the pitch dark of night
    leaving me paralyzed
      with fright and fear
unable to speak words but screaming
      unable to move away
from a hellish imp creature
his skin like a slithering snake
his voice a hissing in the night
a head upon a fat distorted body
          oh, horrible disgusting creature
     and another creature hovers
the hidden shape of a black horse
                         friend or foe

internally I am frozen and unable to wake up
I am stuck in a terrifying scene
everything in my bedroom is surreal and distorted
with the power of will I wake
                             weeping in my bed
    I can smell him
feel his hands on my body stroking
I must have a shower to wash off his stink
that is when I see the bruises and hand prints
                     how is this possible
now, I keep the lights on
     have become sleep deprived . . .
