A Tillerman's Story
To each, a compass, would I give this day..,
to help guide through the treacherous waters of life.
For we humans, oft found wanting, do stray..!
bumping bows of other's, leave hearts torn in strife.

Wield well this gift, to find love and compassion..,
reach out your hand, to those who can't help themselves.
Keel mindful of other's compass fashioned..,
not empty heart'd parcels left on empty shelves.

Course plotted, life's vessel yours to command..,
not squalid, rudderless tillerman to relent.
To reason, be fast friend, tho' understand...
the Universe may still hold you in contempt.

Keep song in your heart, and let voice be likened to a lightning rod's.
"Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's;
and to God the things that are God's."

The moral & gift of the Tillerman's story...
use your compass to find a path to Glory.

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."

Balance

The world of business
is riddled with traps
I tried to start
an intenent business

So good were their words
we make money
when you make money
the promise of lies

Internet scams
poor people trying
to make at the expense
of someone else

of course, it was a scam
Financially I am not
the one to follow
but with a world

Real financial experts
surely we could find
people to trust
people that can invest

and grow companies
people that can
make a profit
and payout dividends from shares

people that can help build economies
saving ten dollars per week
you are looking at an investment
of five hundred and twenty dollars per year

If you had invested in micro soft
how year after year how much
would you be worth
could you invest more

It'd your life
you can do whatever you want
you can save a hundred dollars per week
it's your money

granted with every investment
there is a risk
you can lose your money
people do lie cheap and steal

but investments create jobs
investments stimulate economies
half the problem we have today
was caused by greed

People wanting to make money
from selling houses
lowered interest rates
sold houses to people

that couldn't afford them
put up interest rates
made the homeowners
take out insurance

So if they failed to pay
they made money
from the insurance company
an insurance company collapsed

because they couldn't afford the debt
like a deck of dominoes
the whole system started to struggle
one country after another

started having financial problems
markets dried up as economies failed
we didn't end up, in a depression
because we had things like social welfare

Our ancestors had created
but we are all apart of the same world
healthy economies in other country's
buy the products from your country's

The world needs to look at the balance
between the needs of all economies
When Mahatma Gandhi improve the textile
trade-in India it devastated

The textile trade in other countries
I'm not the expert but if we build
industry in India
I believe that is what great man achieved

Industry, that India requires
to create employment for India
Industry, that we all need to have
healthy economies

We need to do it in a way
that creates balance,
improving the economies of all
countries

Patradoot Or the Messenger 8/Many

Patradoot or The Messenger 8/Many

Enchanting beauty of nature,

Would unfold its charms, on your way,

When you would take my hearts message,

For the most lovely child of the creator, my beloved.

Background of this Epic

The Patradoot was written originally by my later father
Dr.Amar Nath Kapoor in 1932. He had joined India’s
Freedom struggle in 1920 on the call of Mahatma Gandhi.
From 1920 till 1947 (India got freedom in 15th Aug. 1947)
my father was in active movement as Congressman and
Gandhi’s non violent soldier. For many a time he was
imprisoned for many months to more than a years sometimes.

During one such imprisonment he wrote this epic and sent
it to my mother secretly as a gift for her and to get it printed
and circulated among the masses to create awareness for
India’s freedom. The book was printed by my mother in
Hindi and some of this epic was circulated also, but the
British confiscated the book and press of my father around
1933. I was born in 1950 in a free India. I am trying to bring
this great writing of my father in English which portrays more
than the translation of the epic, so the world may
come to know about this otherwise lost and forgotten great
great epic and the sacrifices of my patents towards India’s
freedom struggle.

Gandhi Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor left active politics after 1947
and devoted rest of his life in
writing easy mass literature and wrote many Dramas,
Poetry books, epics. All his other literary
works were mainly written from 1955 to 1990.
He left this mortal world in 1994. Unfortunately many of his
World class work could not be published so far and Patradoot
is one of them.

SCHOOLING AND DESCHOOLING

Go to a good school before the age
Get a highest best possible percentage
Anything else is under privilege
This is our ' right parentage '
Master everything in book
To bring us an up look
Don't even look at anything evil
(Though we practice it to the full).
We have a status in society
With our pleasant carrier in the city,
The car that we bought by Banker's mercy
Makes others feel with envy
So sending you (our son) to the best status school
To make you proud of our feel

Learn all in one stretch
From Archimedes to Bhagavat Gita and French
Arithmetic to Geography by any means
That would support to the life's means
Speak in lip end English
To prepare you to the world so ticklish
Be careful and play safe
Keep them as laws for Self
Don't ever quarrel and stop to say anything in commotion
For not losing temper gives you a good emotion
It would lead you to many a promotion
Neither help others nor look for any
This world is flooded with problems many
Aspire to become a big personality

Only big personality not good great personality
To be a big man matters more than to be a good man
There has been many a good man
From Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela to my next door poor young man.
Setting examples for generation to come
So, there is less need to add
To the list of the men of odd
Be careful. Look around
To gain everything that surround
Gain knowledge from people of wisdom
Acquire the full of sciencedom
Equip yourself with all officialdom
The most wanted degree in IIT
Or a course in dissection
This would fetch you a ransom dowry
So, to live in fabulous luxury
For all the above
We send you to the best school all above
For we invest in you sure
Only for your bright future.

Beautiful babe simply magic spells thoughts
by some miracle your beauty appears
at my side melting heartbeats

Softly explode warmly bursting echoes
embraces the purest treasure forever
to never let go always held special

A cold moon bites alone gentle beams
whispers sweet howling roars deeply out
in a long breath hanging mist breathless

Silver cloud gasping jewel pure divine
in all that's good to walk with you in life
the next day awakening sunshine sings

You're morning smile fills up deep chambers
with warm beams radiating loves wings
when taking me to that special place

Faraway promise if ever I get lost
without honey sweetheart that you will
find me inside every thought a dream wish

Holding hands shadow one mahatma
spirit of a thousand lovers cry deeply
a soul sings out cast under

On magic dust wishes granting Heaven
sighs in breath of one dream special moment
held in time warmly holding kisses you

You would find, her shining and graceful face,
Sad and gloomy, due to long separation from me,
My beloved loves wearing modesty,
More than any other gem and jewellery, dear letter.

The creator has not made any mistake,
In making her a matchless personality,
By seeing her only, you can easily decide,
She is the one who dwells in my heart, dear letter.

When the groups of Indian women, singing war songs,
Will show their presence before you, dear letter,
Showing the splendors of awakened women,
Their courage would fetch away your heart, dear letter.

Lost Myristica swamps

"What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror refection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.” Quote by - Mahatma Gandhi
----------------------------------------------------------
Specially designed knee roots
Stilt roots dig deep into soil
Abundant swamp water still
In evergreen tree forests

Dried up streams, levelled up swamps
Reveal more frustrated roots
Grinning at open clear sky
Deep in forest no new roots

Red-listed trees and insects
Red-listed flowers, reptiles
Sit as samples in glass jars
Dancing frog stuffed nice on shelf

Angelic damsefly sits
Still like an aura quartz branch
Forgetting which way to fly
To live untouched by human

On your way dear letter, you keep enjoying,

The enchanting wine of nature’s beauty,

Till you reach the holy mother river’s place,

We all know by the name of Triveni*.

Somewhere on your way, you would listen

The enthralling sound of Dholak*,

And at some place, you may see,

A newly wedded bride moving on a Palki*

*Triveni. A place where three river streams meet. Generally used for the city of
Allahabad, where our great holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati
used to meet at a point known as Sangam.

* Dholak. It is the Indian hand drum called dholak. It is a very popular folk drum of
                 northern India.

*Palki. Is a small wooden cabin carriage, which was earlier used for carrying
one or two persons from one place to another. Generally it was used for newly
wedded brides, when she moves from her father's place to her husband's place.
The entire cabin hangs on a long bamboo which is carried by 4 - 6 persons. It is
still used in some villages in many parts of India.
