Premium Member When I Get Low

I was just an ordinary, nine-year-old girl,
eyes peering out from under a doll-like curl,
but, those blonde curls so quickly had to fade,
as I grew up sooner than the rest in 3rd grade.

Taught a hard lesson, though not at school,
I learned at home how life could be too cruel,
from an adult bully whose words abused this kid,
forcing her into a dark room, where for years, she hid.

Turning the pages of books, disappearing into fantasy,
only they took away what had become her reality,
having only known outer pain from scraping my knee,
I discovered then how deep an inner pain can be.

Now, after more than 20 long years, he is finally gone,
though the sting of the words still lingers on,
sometimes, when I get low, when I've failed the fight,
I'm back in that dark room, wondering, was he right?

Then I turn on the music that once brought me joy,
I play it all over again, like it was a favorite toy,
and with the old songs always comes the tears,
as I remember them from my happiest years,
escaping again to those innocent days before 1992,
back to those cherished days before I ever knew you.

*This is a true story. I was that 9 year old girl.

Oh mighty Father..Lord of all creation I am
Calling out to you..For your Name is the greatest.' Just your Name Lord..Just your
Name.! I beg your indulgence Father through all the Ages You are always unchanging..Although you are always doing new things.' Lord i know you can see
The depths to which people have fallen as
The world leaders have joined in a group to
Mock You Father.' They have abused the gift of life, they have desecrated Your Altar
In the innocent souls they have killed I live
In the same world i too am human and sinfull Lord Father..Yet these actions admitted to.' Recorded flaunted..There to
My mind needs to be a reckoning..I ask you
Father to punish the wicked.' To remove them before their time Lord.' Yet may all be
Done in accordance with Your Will.' Yet i
 beleive many people..Not perfect people
just like me Lord and Father,
would welcome a
Sweep of Your Mighty hand, if six were gone soon
Lord? that Your Name be again reverenced..Amen amen amen Your Will be done.'

Turn Your Light Down Low

turn your light down low
sometimes you get high
high on your own self thought
cos what you see
trigger an observation
and now your sensitivity
speaks with nature
in your darkness

turn your light down low
sometimes even a lion fears
despite his wild nature
life is a teacher
life is stable despite
it changes
so when your grow
when your light is too
bright in your confusion
just for a while
for a better wisdom
turn your light down low

turn your light down low
so your be closer to a better light
so you could see what lies
under your feet that needs
attention
sometimes we light up the world
yet our soul lack it nature
then you can only tell the
truth but can't live or show it
so just for a while
for a better sight
for a better understanding
turn your light down low

Premium Member Water Roars Valley Low

Winter Autumn Spring the door!
Now I know the flow goes all the way to the summertime heat!
From the ocean low to the valley floor around the earth-circled seat then back to us from the cliffs mountains to the sea and the shores!
One flow to the cities villages to the country back door from the little towns from the valley one path straight to a created flow! Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid! Don't let it be afraid not your heartstrings perfect love casts out fear again and again and again let love rule from my point of view deep within your mind speaking to the tattered torn misused tried sad starry some way sometimes lonely soul take it to the Lord in prayer yes let us put love to the test to the Father Which is now in heaven holy hallowed be his name let thy kingdom come let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven Dear Father.
Among the quiet streams that give peace tranquility serenity and the passion of life that gives love joy a smile or two-point laughter being in us maybe than we know too, it comes from the the Lord where Love flows deeply and fiercely like a mighty stream chill still, The waters run clear and deep reminisce or think clearly lift up your water glass while I have a drink of water!

I’ve come to the end

I’ve come to the end

I’ve come to the end
I’m sorry to say,
I’m not strong enough
To fight through every day.
You may think me selfish
That I don’t give a damn,
I tried really hard
To be not who I am.
The pain- too intense
A plan was made,
To relieve myself
And stop this facade.
I’m sorry my will
Was not strong enough,
The tears I held back
Caused this mental flood.
The pain too intense now
I can no longer cope,
The thoughts of my family
No longer give me hope.
I’m sorry to do this
And cause you this pain
I’m most sorry to my son,
Who I won’t see again.
I had no one left
No one reached out to me,
I was too scared to ask
And too scared what they would see
If you know someone is suffering
Reach out and show you care,
Because there may be a time
They are no longer there.

Low Down

1/15/21

If you didn't, you better know now
Nearly always around smoke clouds

I was or I wasn't oath bound
Often telling me, I got no grounds
And that I need to slow down

I roam around
Or am homebound
With a new dog or old hound
Made noise, or no sound
Just giving you all the low down
It was kept silent or spoke aloud

Going solo or with the whole town
It was false or accurately wrote down

Just the way it goes down
Because of what goes around
Another showdown
And throw down
From the hometown
To far beyond here to Motown

Bumped into you in the food aisle
It's good to see you smile
In a world that can be too vile
I've been developing a new style
Got to cover much more than a few miles
What I seek to accomplish, is in a huge pile
Of loose tiles
Since I was a schoolchild
Going through trials
The patterns cease or continue to cycle

I've been thinking often
And battling a drinking problem
Sinking to the bottom
My mom reminding me, it's just bringing me to the coffin
Similarities or not a single thing in common

It's rather obvious
Having difficulty stopping this
And on making accomplishments
There was complete honestness
Or broken promises
It was easy or onerous
One thing I do is honor it
Remaining humble and anonymous

Premium Member something black and low to the ground

something black and low to the ground slinked out of the woods today
I barely caught glimpses of it because it slid from bush to bush
was it a miniature puma? a tiny ebony black-beauty-like horse?
A tailless skunk? Was it a furry entity from another planet?

I imagined all sorts of things because it was gone quickly.
All day I would come up with another idea about it.
Was it an intelligent head of the headless horseman?
A head that had somehow learned to slink on its own?

In many ways, I hope that it will never return
Because it has given my mind lots of things to think about
New ideas I would have never had without the joy of not knowing
some of my best poems come out of one little event

The Volume Is Turned Way Down Low

Inspired by a moving conversation in a show. Some people appear incapable of expressing or feeling emotions. But, oftentimes they shut themselves down because of trauma.

The volume is turned way down low

You may not be normal
But normal doesn't really exist
You do have human feelings
They're just a lot more difficult to access

The volume is turned way down low
You just have to listen more carefully
I know that you can experience love
I know that you are capable of empathy

Don't dismiss the hands of friendship
Some people are capable of being trusted
Remember that normal is an illusion
And that everyone needs someone

Tune in to your deepest heart
Learn to detect the movement of the dial
Over time you'll turn up the volume
And become more acquainted with human life

Premium Member Does Your World Hang Low?

Does your world hang low?
Does your humour ebb and flow?
Do you feel like you’re a flop
And you’re drowning down below?
Are your moods like running water
Won’t stay stable when they oughta?
Does your world – hang – low?

Is your life a drag?
Do you feel like a rag?
Does it seem as though you’re flound’ring
Through impenetrable slag?
Is the whole thing never right?
Not worth keeping up the fight?
Is your life – a – drag?

Do you hide your face?
Do you feel a disgrace?
Are you constantly avoiding
Being with the human race?
Has your life degenerated?
And your world disintegrated?
Do you hide – your – face?

Are you fighting back?
Are you taking up the slack?
Will you give in and surrender
Or go back on the attack?
Tell the world it hasn’t mastered
THIS unconquerable bastard!
NOW you’re fight – ing – back!

Premium Member Low Profile

The oldies retreated from work
But not from killing time
Time allocated may be
As much as the upheaval of
Domestic, world affairs or politics
Although most of the time
They are boasting their present
Bragging their past
Blathering about dissatisfaction
Drivelling politics
They aren't retreating from the world
They are living amongst friends
Gossiping amongst them with low profile
But have once lived with history
But still having a vote in hand
And they will find the truth eventually
With the rest of the time
Before embarking on a journey of
Truth and justice
Which is nearer to god
Which will never be revealed easily
