Bloggers PhotoI was born and grew up in Stratford, London, England. I do not live there any more. I have been writing on and off since the age of ten or thereabouts, at which age I discovered that I had a bit of a flair for rhyme. I still enjoy rhyming and like to think of my poetry as unpretentious and not particularly deep. With neither the confidence nor the patience to go through the mainstream publishing process, I have self-published on Amazon. So far I have completed one book of poetry and another is "quietly bubbling away in my poem pan." Apart from my rhyming habit, I have written two full-length novels, about a young Royal Navy sailor in the 1970s and 80s. Both are published and available on Amazon and are called "The Queen's Shilling" and "The Blue Suit" respectively. When asked if they are autobiographical, I always assert that they are fiction. Which they are but, as the best advice has it, you should write about what you know...
