And this picture on the wall of my heart told a story of men giving birth among themselves in the north promiscuously...
Sipping memories from the lungs of the girl child.
They were not ashamed of the little ones watching their nakedness which howled at them mannerlessly.
We bathed the oceans again and again,
We made the sand shone like the moon,
We washed the sky daily to see clearly of what the earth has in stock for us.
We painted the earth and added more colours to the chirping rainbow.
Life became wet in our palms because we saw images and figurines of women whose shinning womb were made abnormal by men of yesterday.
And mother told of an innocent girl that killed her father, mother and brothers,
She was patted by the king for doing so,
As she told this ear breaking tale,
we saw the rain emerged from the ground instead of the lonely idle cloud that watched us through different mirrors.
They said we'll live forever on paradise,
They said there is heaven and hell,
They said evil people will be punished on the last day,
They said we will burn for thousand years,
But how could a father punish his children with fire and brimstone?
How could spirit burn in a fire?
How could we tell lie to ourselves and expect the sun not against us?
We have seen cock making love to a duck and, dog to a cat, and grandma told us it was normal.
And Father told of the miseries of the black spirit in our village streams,
How pouring of libation on the family shrine brings good wife and good harvest,
how rubbing oil and wearing palmfrond on your lips wad away demons.
he said there is a third heaven above us,
He told us why the He goat smells,
He said white ghosts do fly day time; he has seen the flashes of one of them at Benin.
After Christopher, I creed,
After Achebe I loved again
After Seghor
After Wole and Niyi' folklores,
After Habila Helon,
After Chimamanda's truths,
We'll retrace this fables with a knitted thought towards strings of our voices.
How does the patient dog eat the fattest bone now?
Does the silent cock still live for a lifetime?
Mother lied to us
Father lied to us
Grandma lied to us
Grandpa lied also
A mirage formed
Teachers lied to us
An illusion created
We are not who we are through those illusion told to us through their lips.
Yours Poetically,

Would You Jump Onto The Point of A Sword?
Would You Jump Onto A Live Grenade?
Would You Drink A Whole Bottle of Poison?
Have You Lived Your Whole Life & Not Prayed?
Would You Open Your Mouth Wide To A Bullet?
Or Cut Your Own Veins With A Razor?
Would You Hang Yourself With A Noose & Fall?
Do You Not Want Eternal Life's Favor?
Would You Put - You & Your Loved Ones At Risk?
For Some Science Guess or Thesis?
That Life Got Here By Hit & Miss
& Means Nothing But Biological Pieces?
Are You One of Those That Fear Nothing?
Even As Your Own Life Ages & Fades?
At Powers & Forces Beyond Your Knowledge
Are You Not Just A Little Bit Afraid?
Would You Put Everything That You Value
and Hold Precious In This World ...
and Any Future It Could Have Had
Into A Tornado's One Final Twirl?
If You Knew You Were Going To Die
& There Was Nothing You Could Do To Stop It
Would You Live Life Like An Aimless Rocket?
Or Trust It To GOD's Powerful-Purpose-Pocket?
Do You Think That Humans Are The Only Ones?
The Only Intelligent Beings In The Universe?
Or Do You Know That We Are Not ...
& Just Don't Care Who Was The First?
And What If A Christian's Belief-Based Views
of Life - and Hope and Faith Proves To Be Truth?
Are You Prepared For The Consequences of Disbelief?
and Your Own Disaster? ...Well, Really ... Are You?
And If People Can Really Live Forever,
If There Was A Remote Chance That Its True?
Wouldn't You Make Sure & The Time To Find Out?
Or At Least Try To Get A Clue?
(If People Will Live Forever - Why Not You?)
And If Your Life Is So Terrible & Tragic
and If Your Life Is So Bitter & Bad
and If You're Ready To Give Out & Deliver It Up
Then Why Are You So Spirit-Sad?
And Would You Still Take Your Vague Chances
Not Caring About All The Particulars & Facts?
That If You Were Wrong About GOD ...
Now, Wouldn't You Want To Know About That?
Would You Jump Into The Deepest Ocean
if You Really Don't Know How To Swim?
Would You Let Yourself Sink Deeper & Deeper
if The Only Raft & Rope & Rules Was From HIM?
If You Were Buried Alive Beneath Boulders & Rubble
With Dust & Death Pressing In Every Layer
and With Just One Last Communication
Would You Still Ridicule Your Only Savior?

There is a man and there are worms,
We are the worms my brethren,
Beautiful and perverse, wicked and evil, depraved and unjust,
Good and righteous and wonderful, we are the worms.
There is a man my brethren, Paul Maudib, Gandalf the Wizard, Beowulf, who was a Power.
He was a power and he wanted power and glory and honor.
And he saw our suffering.
For man has always been a weak creature.
He is the son of Dune, the son of Earth, for he fused with the earth through man.
He fused with the worms my brethren to live forever.
His flesh is a radiant glory, flame on, he is as firestorm and Wolverine.
He is as professor Xavier, He is the shining one.
And he was not all good.
Like us, he had evil in him.
And he sinned.
But in the midst of his torment and his madness, he saw the sky.
And knew of God’s love.
Rise my brethren, for God is man and we have the power.
Rise my brethren, for God loved man so much that he became man.
God became the worms and saved the earth.
Turn to the earth and heal it.
And allow it to heal you.
Heal the rabbits, heal the deer, heal the trees.
And share in its pleasure.
For the earth loves you and the earth is our mother.
And our Father knows of our torment.
But there is a God, a Power who knows the secret.
He has fused with the worms and now we all shall ride.
Know this my brethren.
Whether you confess his name or not, he has saved you.
For he is you.
He is the murderer down the street.
He is the rapist in jail.
He is the tyrant ruling governments.
He is the whore on the street.
He is the man dying of leprosy.
He is the insane man, rambling into nothingness.
He is the mother who loves her children.
He is the man who suffers deep so that he can feed his family,
He is the man that curses man and God.
He is the priest who sees visions of a new tomorrow.
He is us and we are him my brother and that is the great mystery of his victory.
For whatever dark force keeps us separate.
He has vanquished it and now in him whether we believe or not we shall be one!
Rise brethren.
Rise brethren.
For man has the favor of God and man has been declared good.
We are good, from the worst of us to the best of us, we are good.
And we shall rise.
Look at the tree leaves rustling in the wind and know that God loves you.
Feel the storm, for it is coming.
Feel the storm, and scream freedom!!
A Softer Way to Die
We live and study life
We pray that somehow
God changes his rules.
No one wants to die
No one wants to follow
Those complicated laws;
I mean no lie-ing - no steal-ing
no sex - before marriage no
Fornicating, no killing
No lust-greed or defiling the earth.
Amen.
All we can do now is try to find
" A softer way to die".
Pick your battles...
There are many ways to die.
I asked, God why?
When mom threw a
"Monkey wrench" in my world
Answering - "We all have to die"
I immediately winked at God...
Thinking to myself (not I).
Gave him a little nudge;
Sidebar God: I said to God
Adamantly "I do not want to die"
"Can you change the rules "?
I never heard back from him
On that subject.
I went to him again
God "Can you at least
Keep me with a mom-
I said "So that I won't be an
Orphan like Shirley Temple”?
He did get back to me on that
And Mom is Alive and well
Plan A. (living forever)
Still not executed.
Once again contemplating
Thoughts on how I want to die.
I could not think of a pleasant way
To die, none that seemed appealing.
Nor any options that would be fun.
hmmm, eat myself to death.
Playing chicken with the train,
Might prove thrilling.
As time grew nigh
My thoughts continued
.... On a softer way to die.
Childhood gone, middle age gone'
Old age approaching fast and furious
Destroying me like a sudden
Approaching hurricane...
This storm knocked out my lights
Memory gone now.
Forgetting my life- my loved ones
Forgetting my friends,
Children, and foes alike
Forgetting my wrongs - my sins
and accomplishments all.
Everything's gone. So, now
What do I do?... How can
I rewrite my life, Take account.
Of that which I remember not.
The realities if my existence
Has been wiped out from
The Forest Fires burning
In my mind’s eye.
Have no recordings of
Who loved me or of who
I shall never forgive.
How will I know that I ever even lived?
Taking my dark blank pages into
The afterlife- My shadowy
Existence ends. I feel no pain
I Have no thoughts,
Have nothing to contemplate.
For I have asked to live forever
Or that I die a, softer way
Forgetting to eat
Forgetting to drink-
Forgetting to swallow
Forgetting to breath...
Forgetting this life-
I close my eyes and fade away.
painlessly

In the dark days of fighting hence
The Heartstone endured its' greatest peril
The power of magic on the battlements
Vanquished the wraiths
Knights fought and won
The arm, severed
clutching the sword
Fell into the Wraiths' black mist
It never hit the ground
A mailed fist,
that could not be found
A Knight can die...
Defending all that is right
All that is true
The sword lives forever
The years rolled by
A sword can live forever
Glittering bright
Never, never
Lose sight...
That a Knight can die
The soul lives on
Forever etched on the steel
Waiting to be found
Heartstone looked far...
During sunbright
Under star
The sword would not reveal
Its' light,
of the soul of a long dead Knight
The soul of a long dead Knight
A sword lost in time
The missing light
The sword, fell
From the battlements
In to the Wraiths' stinking hell
Piercing the horrors within
The sword embedded to the hilt,
in a horror of rags and bone
Blood spilt.
It slunk off, in the night, alone
Taking a sword
Taking the light
From the castle
From the knight
Where it lay,
was never known
The filth of rag and bone
Covered up, never to see the day
A sword that belonged to a Knight
Amongst the boulders and scree
In a glade of ferns
A sword to reveal
The light,
of a long lost Knight
It could be found by you
It could be found by me
A full moon rose
Shooting star , fell to the ground
In a starlit sky
A sword waiting to be found
The Princess of Stars,
followed the shooting star
Where it lay
In the shadow of a wood,
amongst boulder and scree
The Princess of Stars,
followed the shooting star
Where it lay
In the shadow of a wood
Amongst boulder and scree,
in the shadow of the night
A glint of steel
Amongst the scree
A sword to reveal
The Star Princess blew away the filth and rags
The sword, glittered and shone
The soul of a long dead Knight
Revealed in the light
The Princess touched the sword hilt
The name of the Knight glowed
For the sword showed
Her fathers' name
A lost Knight
Found by a shooting stars guiding light
A Knight cannot die
The sword lives on
The lost Knights ' light shone
In the hearts of you and I
A sword found
As sword to place in the great hall
A Knights' lost soul
A Knight to remember to us all
Lost in thought, on the edge of a creek bank,
where the heart is caught between the songs
spun by dandelion seeds, blowing softly,
and whispering winds, gifted with wonders…
gentle joys, swiftly playing on the edges of a dew-stained moment,
when colors of grace in hues of rich purple and scarlet, remember
the burnt amber, the laughing sienna, the distant buttercup yellow,
playing on the heart who can see through the distant seas…
a dream, unburdened by the winds and the rising sun, beyond the shadows
a morning clinging to the moon despite all she’s done,
sensations of trembling psalms, abiding in the nights,
shadowed by light who will never fade,
because the sun casts her light where there is One…
who knows what it is to see through the ache, the pain, the grief,
into the drifting of a light, a sense of what it is to believe,
His life, a gift to those of us who can see
beneath the faded silhouettes of darkest storms,
through the past and all the dread, the doubts that come
from racing with the wind who reveals only One…
see what He has done brighter than the sun…
He is the Son who clings to the souls of those who’ve known
the meaning of life, the meaning of joy, the meaning of love
lifted by prayers who fade beyond His healing words,
like a song, He never stops playing
as He seeks to save, eternally saving those who were lost,
amid the sins darkest crimes, depravities, evils seen
by the distant peace, the forever belief…
as we weep for the weak, those who never leave
their wrongs, seeking the love that He’s shone
in the shadows of the sun, burning with grace
that comes from the One who is truly love
love beyond words, beyond descriptions…
He is the truth that convicts and convinces
saving souls from the worst punishment,
eternity without the One who prevents us
from knowing what it means to live eternally
without the love that is the whole reason for living!
In the shadow of the Sun,
He shines so hearts are won,
by love that comes from One
who saves to the uttermost,
assuring us of a love that is sure,
love that is eternally alive
inside the hearts who God decides
will live forever – by His side,
eternally praising, with love so amazing!
Like Fall…
the lingering of laughter in the air,
like a silent prayer,
painting the moments, so rare
with joy and hope to share,
stirring love, thus – beware…
graceful as the ghost of a sunrise,
on dawn, with clear, blue skies,
there is a beautiful I’ll advise –
reflecting the spirit, so very wise,
erasing the darkness with all its lies…
gentling the spirit, stirring the soul,
promising a fate we can’t control,
this is God’s will and He’ll console,
comforting all the hearts He has stole,
as we hasten quietly, on a stardust stroll…
the whispering night sings me to sleep,
from the moon, I’ll not hear a peep,
fireflies glittering, glowing as they sweep –
over the heavens, reflections to keep,
shining so hopeful, making the stars weep…
glued to the joy that wanders about,
erasing the dark with it’s glorious shout,
reminding the spirit to go all out,
when praising the Father, there isn’t a doubt,
psalms and praises breathe – we’re not without…
grateful for the Holy Spirit, who
abides inside, sticking like glue –
to my heart, where I will need Him, too,
because without this Jesus, the jew,
I am lost – without a clue…
waiting to meet me when I leave this earth,
since the moment of the Savior’s birth,
God’s people have been blessed by the re-birth,
which guarantees heaven to those who unearth –
the meaning of life, knowing what He is worth!
listen to the silence – touch the wind,
remember God is healing every friend,
muzzling the darkness with His love to remind,
everywhere we go, His love overflows, so kind,
like the beauty come to life – a beauty designed…
to kiss away the past and give love that will last
if you’re ever asked…
the test of my faith, I passed
because I believed in the One who is steadfast,
the light of the world, the One I forecast…
as eternity, always and forever –
where there is nothing whatsoever….
to stop the joy that will come to those,
who will live forever with the One who arose!
Jesus is my life – He always knows –
just what I am… we’re so close,
only love could have shown me and I chose…
life eternal – always with the One I adore,
this is a beautiful promise I can’t ignore,
He is the light of my life, the One I call for…
whenever I need a generous mentor,
One I can believe in forevermore!
My God, my God, why have You forsaken me??
Why are You so far from delivering me,?
and from my roaring words of distress?
O my God, I cry in the daytime,
but You do not answer;?
and at night, but I have no rest.
But You are holy,?
O You who inhabits the praises of Your people.
Our fathers trusted in You;?
they trusted, and You did deliver them.
They cried to You and were delivered;?
they trusted in You and were not put to shame.
But I am a worm, and not a man;?
a reproach of men and despised by the world.
All who see me laugh me to scorn;?
they sneer with the lip, they shake the head, saying,
“Trust in the LORD,?
let Him deliver him;?let Him rescue him,?
seeing He delights in him.”
For dogs have encompassed me;?
the assembly of the wicked has enclosed me;?
like a lion they pin my hands and my feet;
I can count all my bones;?
they look and stare on me.
They part my garments among them?
and cast lots for my clothes.
But do not be far from me, O LORD;?
O my Help, hasten to my aid.
Rescue my soul from the sword,?
my only life from the power of the dog.
Save me from the lion’s mouth,?
and from the horns of the wild ox, answer me!
From You my praise will be in the great congregation;?
I will pay my vows before those who fear Him.
The meek will eat and be satisfied;?
those who seek Him will praise the LORD.?
May your hearts live forever.
All the ends of the world?
will remember and turn to the LORD,?
and all the families of the nations?
will worship before You.
For kingship belongs to the LORD,?
and He rules among the nations.
All the prosperous ones of the earth will eat and worship;?
all who go down to the dust will bow before Him,?
even he who cannot keep his own soul alive.
Posterity will serve Him;?
it will be told to generations about the LORD;
they will come and declare His righteousness?
to a people yet to be born,?
that He has acted.
“My word (said the LORD), which comes from My mouth,
is like the rain and snow.
It will not come back to Me without results.
It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever
I send it to do.”
“I call those things that be not as though they were.”
I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience,
We all have a purpose, a divine destiny
Some never fulfill it because their hearts become cold and empty,
Many forces surround us everyday,
Some oppose us while others encourage us to pray,
When you take the time to remove daily distractions,
Close your eyes and simply breathe,
You realize that there is more to this life than your eyes in the natural can perceive,
Miracles occur every day, supernatural experience's some would say
When death comes knocking on your door too soon
Angels guard your life and obey Gods directions to save you from your doom
Science can prove only certain things
It can’t explain why some people have seen angelic wings
Or why some have died and gone to heaven or hell
Come back to earth and live to tell
For as long as man has been, he has pondered the mysteries of life after death
Many religions have books that explain what happens when your time has expired and your spirit has left,
Just gaze your eyes on the ocean tides,
Or watch as the sun each night says it goodbyes,
Observe a butterfly coming out of its cocoon,
Or a seed in the ground growing into a glorious bloom,
Just gawk into space through a telescope,
The billions of stars, planets and invisible ropes,
That connects us to the universe
It brings tears to my eyes and makes my heart want to burst,
When our spirits leave this outer shell,
We will understand what our minds on earth failed to tell,
When we see no more pain in a place with our name,
The sorrows of this life and all the days filled with strife
Will evaporate and wash away,
We will live forever where it’s always day,
We will never grow old or get physically sick,
So don’t take this life too seriously as the hours continue to tick,
Don’t give up when you’re feeling down and want to die,
Because there is a mansion in the sky waiting for you and I,
It’s all a matter of what you believe and if you know God
Eternity is not a silly fairytale or façade,
There is life after death just follow your heart,
It’s no coincidence that people have always known but question where to start,
I can guarantee if you ask God himself,
He will reveal it to you just like he has done for somebody else.

My first session with Kamar had gone rather well,
despite the fact that I felt as if I’d just returned from hell.
My Son had another episode and had to yet once again be hospitalized.
He lost his housing privileges also, which in turn left me somewhat traumatized.
Of course Kamar was supportive and tried to make me come to see
that I’ve been more than a true loved one could ever possibly be.
I recall Her going on and on about all of the good things that I’ve done
to try to help and rehabilitate my loving but sick Son.
I know that She means well but my attitude is, “So What.”
All that hard work and all the time spent and what have we got?
A young man who most likely will never be able to care for himself
because he’ll probably always be in the worst mental health.
I can’t live forever. What will become of him when I’m gone?
Thoughts like that haunt me daily. Sometimes I think I just can’t go on.
That’s why these sessions with Kamar are so very important to me.
She shows me strength hidden within me that sometimes I’m just too blind to see
and she constantly reminds me that Hope comes in many forms,
that there’s new research on the horizon that may someday right all these wrongs.

We covered most of the tragedy that was the life of my Son’s Mother.
She too is also a hero of sorts and she’s one unlike no other.
She was pretty much abandoned at her very moment of birth
by her mom who disappeared off of the face of the earth.
Her mom took off with her father’s best friend.
She probably had legitimate reasons,
but she left her children behind in the hands of a fiend.
He was the ultimate in child perversion.
So at the age of eight, she was on her own.
She had no choice but to run away.
She’d rather eat from dumpsters and sleep in depots.
Living at home had a far worse price to pay.
The cold of some nights were never as cold as his cold and clammy old hands
all over her sweet innocence whenever he desired. Whenever Her Daddy Demands.
