Ghost

When someone has a terminal illness, people often start treating them with pity, and like they're already gone; instead of enjoying the time they have left together. Let's focus on treating each other with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion. We only live once. And we need to appreciate each other while we have the time. Ghost By Michelle Morris 23/01/2023 I may be dying But that could be delayed No use treating me like I'm already in the ground You keep acting like I'm a ghost Even when I'm in the room When will you realise That it's not all doom and gloom? So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now Give me room, room to breathe To live my life, live my life So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now If you can't enjoy this moment Walk away into the night We've been friends for many years We've shared so many hopes and fears All our dreams folded into history Sharing life's interesting mystery Surrender to the moment We've got memories to hold on to No one can expect to live forever But let's do the sad thing once I'm gone So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now Give me room, room to breathe To live my life, live my life So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now If you can't enjoy this moment Walk away into the night So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now Give me room, room to breathe To live my life, live my life So, take it back, take it back Step on back, step on back now If you can't enjoy this moment Walk away into the night I may be dying... But I'm not yet gone... © Michelle Morris, 2023
