My Gift

Meddlesome acknowledgement was my gift to many
I wondered where the nutrients were coming from
I was absorbing your words, parched by my own dimming light-years
There I was stunned by the legion of black-faced martyrs

Exasperation of the undeniable misunderstanding of every conceivable word
Left me with another path onto death
And not nearly dying, but regenerating in technological, factorial woe
Demon thoughts squeezed bile from the brim of subconscious drivel
Accelerating the ghouls from the gull of my esophagus

I was held down from the dreams of the fortnight
From words of architecture ascending from the brims of the archangels
Eyes remained closed
And I felt the actual descent of my downfall
I did not open my eyes at all

I did not mean to pry into your life, oh beautiful soul
Please accept my gift today
My fierce gaze into your lavishing grail
Led me to accept and love where I often fail
I am no longer smothered in your intricate designs
Though I am surely small to you
Though I feel only a fraction of a fool
I am the hidden spark under the timbers of lies

I am the hidden spark under the timbers of lies

Premium Member Delightful Childhood Memories

"How sweet to the heart are the scenes of my childhood"
                                   Samuel Woodworth, 1785-1842

Childhood memories of blissful delight*
engraved in heart, truly precious treasures
how enriching; still vivid to my sight.

Family bonding midst dining pleasures
feasting on parents’ prepared “comfort food”
so delicious along milk’s sweet measures…

Play time with dear siblings of cheerful brood
indoor games or mirth-filled “hide-and-seek”
joyous after settling petty kid’s feud…

Chores’ fulfillment during ends of the week
washing dishes, cleaning, cooking with zeal
helped me cherish wondrous motherhood’s peak…

Expectant always for Dad’s packaged seal
containing fruits, pastries, toys… gracious gifts
lavishing care in the home I did feel…

Sundays affirming church attendance lifts
while taught to value spiritual gain*
trusting God with one accord of no rifts…

My childhood experiences do reign
through memories oblivion can't drain.

*1Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Moonlight On Your Neck

On your neck the moonlight
caressing the crescent hairline
a boy flying kites
I sip a little red wine

Out of the window
leaves rustle gently
Moonlight walking on the toes
shifts on a bunch of the lily

A blade of a deep urge
raising ripples in my pores
A sea lavishing its surge
on delightedly bursting shore

The pomegranate cracked open
pink pearls travelled to your fingers
Desires so long unspoken
didn't agree to linger

The fireplace I was sure
you looked for too
I watched heat waves on your face
and seas in eyes turning blue

Let the dense clouds combine
in a lightning sketching the storm
the sparks it's hard to define
rendering us devoid of form

Wings of the eagle
swimming aloft in the air
With the golden grey clouds
an ecstatic affair

Spectacular

Solace in the words and advices that bring comfort and relief
Planning with enthusiasm the life that you deserve from now
Embracing without any fear or resistance the earthly existence
Creating a valuable legacy that resists the onslaughts that appear
Tantalizing marvelous changes that would result in great benefits
Alluring an ethereal atmosphere that exudes thriumph and success
Composing a joyful song that is whispered in the wind as a whisper
Unveiling a gaeity that is expressed without words in your face
Lavishing in a link of efforts that reap in a meaningful sow
Acclaiming you as a winner that never give up during adversities
Rebuilding the foundation of the new person you had become

Premium Member I Never Saw It Coming

She used to take my calls and commandeer them.
It was all about her.
If I wanted to add something she would have to “go”
which meant hang up.

She would always beg me to bring my other friend to stuff.
Because she was a name dropper
Apparently I was not a big enough name.
So I did, wanting to please her.

She would run toward our mutual friend,
Lavishing her with welcoming overtures.
I thought it was amusing.
I can always entertain myself.

One day she wanted me to do something against my ethics.
Against my moral code, against my soul.
I told her I could not, and did not realize our “friendship” was over
Until I discovered she had blocked me from her phone.

I was surprised, and saddened.
Mostly saddened.
I never saw it coming.

BLUE MOON TREES

whistles and wings
love to cling
to branch trampolines.

like humans, they hanker
for adventurous voyaging.
here’s where the story takes flight.

you see, they wade and wander,
into the genius greenery of central park,
that is on the Oasis ship - docked.

trees are silent at sea,
as little shuttles lift off,
as the vainglorious ship

departs port, and dark deepens.
lavishing love and holding hands,
wet whistles of whiskey and wine.

clapping and high-fiving wings,
in disbelief, of their uproarious adventure,
climb ever higher, as high as possible.

alight on the prime pinnacle
of their favorite trees, to fantasize.
one lone bird, closes his eagle eyes.

as the stars, billow away below,
he stretches his wings and soars,
at tremendous speed, a first bird

landing on the blue moon trees.
he preens himself proud. Evermore -
angels with wings, whistle and wish.

I want to wander inside Grandpa's mind
 drink in multi-hued core thoughts
intimately lounging there--
glide with wild violin notes as they
 light evening's way;
listen to this troubadour who prances
through the flourishing roots of music,
sway with flashing sparks of desire
as they hover just above me--

And all my passions will reveal
 themselves , lavishing secret dreams
on me which only I have the access to
his inner sanctum where my private
thoughts become rivers of rhythm ,
nourishing the hungry desire to be me
and partly him --tears and all --how we
held each other's arms as tunes from
breaths snuffed his charmed life.

The Golf Hole

You have been golfing your time away when
When your authority is dying and babies are crying
You have been golfing your time away when there is
no coffee in the pantries, and no food on the kitchen table
You have been golfing your time away when the
baby’s milk is spoiling in the kitchen sink and the
pigeons are dying. The roosters are crowing aloud
and the lions and tigers are gallivanting about with
a headless crown .Christmas and Thanksgiving is
a time for family gathering but millions had nothing
to share because many people were not there. Some
have been torn apart, others are left in the dark while
others are still six feet below the ground and their spirits
are prowling around . You are golfing your time away
When the postal service man and the courier service van
did not get an extra dollar to add salad to their
evening supper. The nights are cold, the rooms are dark
and the rich is singing and shouting amen hallelujah over a lavishing dinner. Listen carefully to what I have to say and don’t let your pride get
in the way. You must pay attention to what is transpiring around and read the messages that nature is sending you.
The big and bold the bright, smart and beautiful is the
the cardboard laptop woman who have been feedings you
I need your help with enhanced technology and resources to feed my belly
They have sworn to cut off my head and replaced it with a chicken head
but the chicken head fell to the ground before you could get to my
throne .Keep your eyes on the ground and look carefully at the hole
It is difficult to roll the ball in and you cannot throw the dice in
The ground is baked with rum punch and fruit cake
You have missed the shot because the covering around the hole and the hot grass on the lawn was too shallow .The heat is chiming in and you have to pay for your sins. You have been golfing your time away and don’t have time to pray. You tweet bad news in the middle of the night and your ego have made many sighed. Look up at sun and tell me what you see? the sun is shining with intensity in the sixth degree, and the galaxy is moving ferociously around you .It is time bury the guns and close the chapter behind you. The golf hole is closed and at midnight the lights will go out and darkness will descend upon the golf courts.

LOVERS HANDS IN GLOVES

did those heavy lids close
who could tell
ruby lips pressed
upon
ironing the seams
of hopeful dreams

did you swallow his tongue
or did it wriggle
free
lavishing furs and diamond rings
as the serpentine scales sing

was it all a fairy tale
did he make a wish as your lashes
fell
like dark arrows all around
has your virgin waist turned into a frown

piercing clouds shudder from his eyes
surprising even his own features
the sea of his lips
drip
not with golden honey
but ripped apart and muddy

lovers hands in gloves
black eyes
taking turns
offering screams
nothing as it seems

lives misspent
fitting in a narrow slot
remembering
the brief affair of rosy cheeks
never getting what each one seeks
