I have the rhythm of a winding road
how do I consign myself to being confined...
rows of poplar pillars prop
rendezvous canopies beneath we meet
—I self-cajole on ooh-la-la afternoon
yellow eyes; daffodils watching
lean into gossip groups nodding
a prodding breeze instigating deep-freeze—
I am a sweet weed in this place of sway and betray
with a stranger I stroll my arranged betrothed
height of his black top hat challenges trees
much like Corinthian columns
guards of an aisle I must walk —dear God! must walk
trepidation trips down my bridal spinal column
tiger eyes; lilies watching wish they were me
dare they dream they could uproot their roots like me
wish they could wedding waltz like I must —like I must
but their envy-leaves remain embrace-less
—I secretly envy lilies’ arms empty of yet unmet love
daffodils; empty-headed —laugh
they try to read my mind to fill their own
what do I care of their curdled thoughts lemon tart
and orange lilies’ with their brocade brimstone
what do I fear of fire-breathers burn of words
undergrowth feels the square heels of my lace-up boots
post impression grows more expressive than first—
beware French tongues of sundew and burdock burr
marriage-carriage rolls in ruts to Versailles
where my coerced corset of hooks and ties lie
rhythm of a winding road dies in minuet strangle-hold
Hoosier winters were mighty frigid on the farm when I was a lad.
Ma insisted no matter what I did, I was to be warmly clad!
With toboggan cap, mackinaw, mittens and lace-up leather boots,
And of course beneath it all, one of those scratchy union suits!
They've been around nigh on a hundred-fifty years, I'm told,
Worn by men, women and kids to protect 'em from the cold.
With a handy flap, dozens of buttons, in colors of red or white;
They don't enhance the physique -in fact they look a fright!
The buttoned flap is a practical and convenient innovation,
Especially when in a hurry and in moments of desperation!
I've even heard of fellers dwellin' in 'em all the winter long.
By springtime the fragrance must've been most powerfully strong!
On clothes lines on cold and wintry days hung a frightful horde,
Of frozen union suits dancin' on the lines as stiff as a board!
In a pile nigh the parlor stove they would be casually tossed,
To shed their clingin' coats of rime and gradually defrost!
Ain't nothin' that'll keep you warmer on a cold wintry morn,
For sloppin' hogs, milkin' cows and shuckin' fields of corn,
Curryin' horses, milkin' goats or any other agrarian pursuit,
Like a scratchy, itchy, long-legged, venerable union suit!

When demons come and join the fight,
they’ll jump the fence and flee the light.
They will know they’re on the losing end,
they’ll soon switch sides and seek amends.
This battle will end before it starts,
the holy soldiers will play their part.
Trained by God they will not lose,
be careful of the side you choose.
The sky will flash and wield its sword,
the wrath of God brought by the Lord.
Hear the truth and change your ways,
or you will face your end of days.
Satan now claims to be on top,
but his reign on earth will soon be stopped.
Lace up your boots and pack your lunch,
wait for the mighty counterpunch.

The morning is still and the wind blows silently through the trees and consult with the leaves, and the branches bow quietly with the wind. I walked through the village alone searching for my home, summer has just arrived and the groom is searching for his bride; they had planned a big wedding that was not supposed to, and at the last minute it was quite clear that she was not there and something was boiling in air, it was the sun or destiny on the run.
The parents of the bride were filled with pride and refused to have their daughter walk down the aisle. They say that the groom was a rogue that terrorizes village, cities and town, walking without shoes and telling people what to do. Now he says he is a different man, but the people could not understand and so a sudden calm filter slowly on the lawn. One by one the guest leaves and courage start moving up his sleeve.
He knelt down at the alter sobbing but could not do a single thing. There was one question he had to answer before he leaves the altar. Was love there from the beginning? He had to sacrifice everything, but she did not care for him. He had much money to spare but there was no love there and so the wedding did not happen.
Something is brewing inside and you must change the game from time to time, when emotions are high and water is dripping from the sky run as fast as you can to the stream and surrender your heart to your dream.
There is a calm moving in the air and there us much to fear, it is the unknown that perplex the soul and it is the unknown that makes your spirit roll. You have been walking on the wrong path and chasing after the dark but there is no water to swim when you cannot compose a hymn.
The field is open and his heart is broken, but he still has a chance to get there, and his mood will change when he wins the game. I have one single task, when I throw the dart; I can choose the line that will get me there on time, diagonal or vertical, horizontal or straight, curb or zigzag but the circle will keep you bound inside the gat, making it hard to leave the town. Whichever line you choose, be sure to lace up your shoes. It is the calm before the warmth, meet me at dawn.
In the marathon of life, we run with grit,
In the sprint of moments, we dash with grace.
In the relay of generations, we pass the baton.
Our legs pump like pistons, hearts our engines,
Our breath is the fuel that fires our journey.
We run through valleys of shadow and doubt,
We run over hills of triumph and joy,
We run beside rivers of tears and laughter.
Our feet leave imprints on the track of time,
Our sweat waters the flowers of our dreams.
Our second wind always waits in the wings,
Our hidden reserves hover just out of sight,
Our untapped strength lurks beneath the surface.
We inhale determination, exhale fatigue,
We drink from the well of perseverance.
We're strong enough to move mountains,
We're powerful enough to shift paradigms,
We're mighty sufficient to forge our paths.
Our will carves canyons through fields of impossibility,
Our resolve erodes the stones of obstacles.
But gentle enough to embrace butterflies,
But tender enough to nurture hope's delicate seeds,
But soft enough to cushion a fallen comrade.
Our hands, calloused from life's rough road,
Our touch is a balm for the world-weary soul.
We pace ourselves for the long haul,
We stride purposefully towards distant horizons,
We leap over hurdles that bar our way.
Our race is not always to the swift,
Our victory lies in the running itself.
So we lace up our shoes of courage,
So we stretch our muscles of resilience,
So we warm up our joints of adaptability.
Our course may wind, our path may twist,
Our destination: the finish line of our potential.
You have to walk away before you can walk in
Something must die for a new to begin
So lace up the Rockport and sing, "Good Day."
Then gracefully walk with no delay
Shaking the old, dusty, haggard load
Now ease on down, ease on down the road
Know that walking away is not a sign of cowardice
Instead, it speaks to strength so walk in your purpose
Move boldly and aimfully ahead
Only sit at the table where LOVE is fed
This old cycle of life gon' keep on a turnin'
So make sure that the fire in your soul keeps a burnin'
Walking, walking upright in the sunshine of life
Far away from the dark clouds of strife
Feeling the blessed rays from the sun
Giving sweet praise to the Almighty One
Just keep that rhythmic heel-to-toe flow
No looking back, straight ahead to your new chateau
I found the truth like a snake in the grass,
Quiet and cold, but it cut like glass.
He’s with someone new, laughin’ free,
While I patch up dreams he left in me.
It hit like thunder through bone and skin—
How easy it was for him to begin
A life without us, like we were a storm
He outran for sunshine and someone warm.
But I got a baby with eyes just like his,
And she don’t know what forgettin’ is.
She still asks why he don’t ride through,
Still thinks her daddy’s heart beats true.
And me? I break in the dark sometimes,
But I hold it together with nursery rhymes.
‘Cause she deserves a whole momma, not half,
Not one buried in sorrow or lost in the past.
So I lace up my boots when the mornin’ is grey,
Breathe in the Lord and push through the day.
I ain’t done cryin’, but I’m learnin’ to stand—
With a Bible in heart and a child in hand.
I kiss her forehead, whisperin’ low,
“Love sometimes leaves, but you’ll always know
That you were chosen, pure and bright—
Born from love, raised in light.”
She don’t need a bitter momma with shame,
She needs one strong enough to stake her claim—
That hearts can break and still beat right,
That women don’t fold, they learn how to fight.
So no, I ain’t healed, not all the way,
But I smile a bit more with each new day.
And when she laughs, the hurt fades some—
’Cause I’m not just a cowgirl…
I’m her momma. And I won’t come undone.
Hey, Who Said...
It was going to be easy
Getting over the time
When running over mountains to the beach was a Sunday jaunt
Giving Time permission to go in the wrong direction
Honoring past marriages as prep school
Letting go of offspring you’d rather continue parenting
Smiling during yearly physicals
Ignoring check-out-stand gossip
After all
Getting older isn’t everyone’s cup of escape
Remember
Experience is unavoidable
Do-overs for past mistakes unredeemable
Immortality unattainable (for now)
No…
Listening and hearing one hand clapping
Smiling at Socratic irony’s revealing wink
Really learning what you thought you knew
You bet
Growing up has its advantages
So
What’s the end game
Such a cheery cliché: "it’s not over ‘til it’s over"
Yet
Some hasten that sundown
Many can’t wait for aged nightmares to end
Others awake each day…alive…WTF
Lace up the Nikes
Trot the run to the beach
Jump in the ocean naked
Poker-face the “aghast” expressions
Touch the package knowing
Frigid or not
Here I come
I’m still alive
But I digress
Easy it all is
When Mind’s clock takes leave
Embracing Einstein-Rosen’s bridge
Making personal the wormhole
Private solace with the Now
Yes
Somebody did invent “Who said it was going to be easy?”
But I think they knew
Grist for the mill knows no deadline
That wisdom isn’t a trophy
That Descartes knew something
Dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum
That some of us retort
i sum vivens ergo sum
That octogenarians marker
Knowing alive is better than dead
Accepting years are merely piss and vinegar
Waiting to be tested
Bring it on!
HEY, WHO SAID…
Pushups until I can't feel anymore
I lose count and let the tears hit the floor
Pain and crying, the only two ways I feel alive
I've learned to strive and not just get by
I'm thankful that I've learned to cope
Instead of hiding, dying on the inside
Slitting your wrists just leaves scars
Reminding you of how hurt you are
And late nights will only kill you slowly
Drink after drink at the bar
These days I don't run from my problems
These days I don't try to forget
I let my body ache
I run and run until I see daybreak
Lace up my shoes
And hit the pavement
Knowing I don't have to run from my guilt
Because I have God's forgiveness
I push my body til it gives
At least it's a healthy way to live
It's been years since I quit smoking, drinking, doing drugs
And yeah I sometimes still feel numb
So I get down on my knees and pray
Then do pushups until the pain fades
Now I do repetitions..
Instead of repeating my mistakes

Welcome one all,
I picked up a straight jacket just for you
climb into my wild world of corruption
challenge my diverse spotted intellect.
Come on in.
have a seat on my spiked throne
feel the satisfaction of its pleasurable foreplay
it will tickle your hidden treasures
Stay a while...
let me play with you...
in my psychotic playground of doom
I shall light the fire in your fancy
Trapped...
not yet...
you're just in a box of illusions
let it swallow your senses
A dream...
hardly lover...
I have only ignited a fire long put out
and secured an insecure spot in your being
Taste me,
all my unholy of holies
and gulp for air as you overindulge in my sweetness
your curiosity amuses me
Let us not quarrel over confusions,
enjoy the sinful red tape routines
the act of balance is quite a trip
will you be self-righteous?
Dip me in marigold colored swirls,
this is your fantasy arena
where marshmallows are the pillows
on your slow floating boat to the milky way.
but somewhere..oh somewhere
you are lost in the morbid abyss
and I caught you like a spiders web
won't you folly in my decadence a little longer.
Enjoy the sting of my corruptive force,
we shall indulge together in forbidden play
let me lace up my corset
I will pay your flesh with my whip.
Dream on the keeper of the Stars,
we are nightmare pleasure seekers
awaiting our harmonious O's
as we slither bare upon your folds.
Banish us NO LONGER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
