We stitched our ribbons through your heart
From end to end we threaded
We sewed right to your fingertips
– And every stitch you dreaded
We tramped along your shoulders broad
To weave our little lines –
How nimble were our fingers then
How clever our design!
We jabbed and pierced and buttoned you
We pulled the stitches tight –
For us an act of liberty
For you an act of night
We gaze now on our handiwork
As on a work of art
A wilderness of emerald
Mapped out upon a chart
But, ‘lest we think we’ve mastered you
Once every little while
You raise yourself and startle us
With lightning in your smile!
(This is a fictional poem)
When we go cruising with your girlfriend, I don't like how you drive.
You always watch her big boobs instead of the road and we're lucky to be alive.
Keep your eyes on the damn road and not on her chest!
The cops keep pulling us over for wreckless driving and putting you under arrest.
You had to pay for a hog you hit last week and now we're going to have to eat a lot
of pork.
At first you refused to pay for the hog and that farmer jabbed you in the nuts with a
pitchfork.
I just learned that you've been risking our lives because of kleenex tissue in a
brassiere.
You just blessed out your girlfriend and she gave you a swift kick in the rear.

HEH WORLD YOU KNOW WHAT, IF YOU ARE RELENTLESSLY PERSISTENT WITH HOPE,
IT MEANS THAT AS TIME GOES BY, YOUR OLD SPARK WILL RETURN
We have been poked, jabbed, starved, locked up, clipped and segregated
our hospitals have been packed, racked and attacked, but now
we are slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel;
Hold out your arms to each other my brothers and sisters
feed each other compassion and empathy, we are all trying to stay afloat
One day this virus will be a thing of the past,
it will be put to pasture like an old goat
and we will dance, romance, glance at each other and read
each others beautiful lips...
Take heart dear world family, God has promised us a sweet eternity
so when your feeling sad and think no one cares,
remember I care, I dare say,
things are going to be, OK !

Or take it all back!
This verbal attack is crap and that...
Is quite whacky cut me some slack,
While stacking the racked up bratty,
Dilapidated orations for some duration,
As a slap happy mapped tap-dancing clad grad fad,
Becomes shat wrapped in cat hats tatted with phat ratty slatted fads,
Madly jabbed as rattling a bad tad of an agitated yet stated NOT hated but mauled tall tale,
On sale for a scaled yet derailed mailer daemon,
Sailing into the screwy new brew boosted roost of a hoot for a few,
Because that is what one should do,
Breaking records and all of that.
Matter of fact from the view I knew to accrue where I just sat,
Rattling a battle of dabbed scabs for words slurred as some cure to be endured for allure,
Still, NOT quite on tour for sure as the viewing of such recorded award-winning boars,
Should bring about themselves a new kind of uproar meant for door opening,
To be coped with or hoped for galore at the sound of the nouns engraved in a savory way,
With your name on it with the sonnet that might say,
Way to slay,
Hooray,
If I so myself would say,
Before I get any more gray in the weird beard from whence these scurried, nerdy words came,
Still, it is quite insane a named thing like the vein game you vainly tamed,
Would arraign such a cranial brain drain of fame all the same as far as what I be saying stained.
Another sleepless night, reading a book by lamplight
I never thought I would witness a terrible deadly fight
Annoyed at no sleep, and trying to concentrate
Then it all happened and two did meet and sealed their deathly fate
I caught a glimpse of the start out of the corner of my eye
It made me jump I was not sure, it was really up quite high
I watched them circle, testing, I didn’t know what to do...
I thought that I would watch a while, I nearly regretted it too.
The one on the right jabbed forth and caught the other unawares
I wondered if there were more about or was it just the pair.
The second one seemed to dance away but then lunged back quite quick
I’m sure I heard the contact noise, it was beginning to make me sick
They grabbed each other and fought and jabbed and then they both fell over
I was pulling bed clothes high up now my book had dropped and turned over
The noise they made when they hit the floor was really something loud
I nearly screamed what should I do, but I didn’t want a crowd
I lost sight of them and then I thought the fight was done
But after a while one reappeared but it was the only one.
The second was wrapped up tight, being dragged along by the first
It looked like one had killed the other with a bloody thirst
What to do I, must move, I am riveted to the spot
What if there are more of them, I might cop for the lot...
Sanity prevailed, as the first one now falls over too
I know I must do something; I know now what to do
Hubby is asleep in the bedroom next to mine
That way he can get some sleep I won’t disturb him all the time
I call him in, “I need you here please" I open his door wider
Come quick and bring the vacuum you need to suck up a dead spider
It's not one really but over there they have had a terrible fight
Don’t worry he said being the man, everything will be alright
He gallantly stood on a chair the vacuum pipe in his hand
Good grief they have killed each other they are off to dead spider land.
Are you sure they are gone and they won’t crawl back out
Don’t worry if they do just come in and give a shout.
Needless to say I left the room I could not sleep there now
So until my spider sense stop tingling, I will not go in no how.

I was swimming in the ocean enjoying it so much
I back floated and relaxed with my cousins Mat and Hutch
All of a sudden Mat broke my dreamy thoughts with a scream
The water choppy, he was carried swiftly up stream
Two great whites were fighting over which would eat my poor Mat
So I chased after them and I smacked them with a big baseball bat
Is this human being serious? The biggest shark asked the other
I do not know the other shark replied but she looks like my mother
I am a grandma you dopes I said and I smacked each hard on the nose
This the smaller one said haughtily is not how this kind of shark story goes
So I jumped on his slick back. I bucked, screamed, jabbed, and I kicked
And I punched him and bit him, making him mad; his skin was quite thick
This land polluter is crazy the great whites agreed with some flair
So they gave me my cousin whom they had tossed in the air.
Because I liked it I gave them another bat smack across their noses
She is horrible! The great whites said as I hit them with hoses
Sure I got Matt back but due to those shark bullies he now he had PSTD
His swimming suit was gone, so he was sheepish being nude in front of me
So Hutch and I threw off our clothes and we all swam in birthday suits
But those sharks never came back, so glad they were finally loose
Purposeful Valentine's Day
Upon tis day,
thee am all set,
Retired in May,
didst nay forget,
Excuses naught,
schedules art free,
Thy bouquet got,
twelve roses see,
Velvety red,
scents to be strong,
Thorns art all shred,
do naught belong,
For fear of tear
all wrapped in silk,
Naught papered wear,
smoothly as milk,
Box chocolate,
assorted all,
Her favorite,
cannot recall,
Lest poked and jabbed,
art thou remain,
Whereto, thee grabbed,
thy likes became,
Thy card filled-out,
thee signed and sealed,
Ere now thee sprout,
start our tryst field,
Thou smile tendered,
memory serves,
Thy smile rendered,
tis well deserved,
Thus thee both rests,
thine rendezvous,
Nay, signs of pests,
toes filter through,
Imposing grass,
felt surreal,
As thee impress,
thy promised feel,
Poet speaketh,
thy love listens,
Thine Sun zenith,
skin now glistens,
Winds anoint thus,
birds entertain,
Her presence plus,
hearts one was twain,
Quote "Trees By Me",
under our tree,
Silent entry,
thus amidst thee,
Angel brushes,
stillness abounds,
Teardrop dashes,
comfort surrounds,
A common thread,
tenuous tugs,
Beholden spread,
flowers and card,
Add thine this be,
boxed chocolates,
Pierced normally,
left favorites,
Thus close day gave,
my Valentine's,
Read, seen thy grave,
between the lines.
